I have been practicing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida for the past 23 years and am also a Licensed Therapist in Virginia, largely with a focus in the areas of depression, anxiety, thought disturbance, addiction, emotion regulation, relationship distress, and self-esteem. I feel many of the responses we struggle with are connected to a traumatic event (or perceived trauma) from the past. Currently, my primary focus has been in the individual realm, with a focus on relationship growth.
I will encourage you to prioritize the areas you wish to address in therapy and tailor my approach on an individual basis. I believe in client autonomy so the areas that are addressed are the areas you want to address.
I draw on several treatment modalities (including, but not limited to, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to allow you to further develop your strengths and help you meet all of your treatment plan goals at a speed that works best for you. I also have completed training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy as well as the Developmental Model for Couples and integrate both of these approaches into my relational therapy practice.
Overall, I help you to see that managing the stressor is more important than just managing the stress as it will allow you to cope with anything that comes your way.

I’m a licensed mental health counselor and licensed marriage and family therapist based in Miami, Florida, with over 8 years of experience supporting individuals and couples through life’s emotional challenges. I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, relationship issues, life transitions, and depression, and I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and supported.
My style is collaborative, grounded, and compassionate. I believe therapy should be a safe place to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface—and to begin shifting patterns that no longer serve you. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of what you need, we’ll work together to help you feel more in control, more empowered, and more connected to yourself and the people you care about.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with other evidence-based approaches to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact. That means we might gently challenge self-critical thinking, find new ways to manage anxiety or stress, or work on setting healthy boundaries in relationships. I also draw from systems theory in my work with couples and families, helping clients recognize how past dynamics may be influencing present struggles—and how to build new, healthier ways of relating.
My clients often tell me they feel a sense of relief just being able to speak openly, without pressure to have all the answers. I believe therapy is not about fixing you—because you're not broken. It’s about giving you the space and tools to care for yourself in a deeper way.
If you’re ready to begin this process, I’m here to walk alongside you.
You have taken a courageous step by seeking counseling, and I would be honored to help you meet your goals.

Starting therapy can be a difficult process. I make this process as easy for you as possible. Therapy starts with us getting to know each other and for me to understand your needs for treatment. I want to make sure that I can meet your requirements and help you work on what you came into treatment for or find you someone who can. As a therapist, I help you become the best version of yourself. My job is to give you the skills to manage difficulties when they occur. Situations occur that you may not feel equipped to handle. Let me support you to help you get through and gain insight about yourself and your ability to handle things in the future. I provide a comfortable and non-intrusive environment. I work with people to help them develop a strong sense of self, learn to have healthier relationships, learn mindfulness, distress tolerance skills, and other ways to regulate their emotions, reduce anxiety, and learn to be less impulsive. Hello! My name is Cynthia Pinion and I am a Psychotherapist, Master Certified Life Coach, Aviation Therapist and Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique Practitioner. I am also a former Certified Family Mediator by the Supreme Court for the State of Florida.
For the past 17 years I have worked with diverse clients from all walks of life. No judgements, no labels! Family and Relational Systems are my expertise; however I also work with just individuals who wish to focus on their own personal growth. I have over 30 years of extensive background experience in the Performing Arts and over 28 years in the Aviation industry. My experience in these two fields assist those clients particularly struggling with body issues, self esteem, relationships, "parenting from a distance" and infidelity. I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services that span from therapy for depression and grief counseling to parenting support, end of life issues and beyond.
Each client is unique; so genuine warmth, compassion and understanding is a must! I am here to empower, inspire and teach my clients how to reach their potential that lies within.
I received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Florida and have 10 + years’ experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Most of my experience is dealing with women’s issues and how voice is found in a paternalistic society. I use a Family Systems lens as we bring our family with us even when we come as individuals.
In my work with clients, I create a space of openness and acceptance as to what is present in the client’s life. I believe that clients have an innate ability to create healing for themselves, and I shepherd that process. I use a Mindfulness-Based Awareness practice and a participatory approach - to create solutions.
As a client commits themselves to the process, they can expect increased awareness and see themselves and their issues more clearly. This awareness oftentimes brings with it a heightened ability to solve issues that are creating roadblocks.
I am a licensed therapist with over 5 years providing psychotherapy in various settings such as schools, private practice & substance use centers. I specialize in assisting clients battling anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship struggles, self esteem issues or just life’s complexities.
My goal is to meet my clients where they are at in life help them live the life they want.
I believe everyone has the ability to find their strength and wellness. Sometimes it takes a little extra support to get you there and that is where I come in. With almost two decades of experience in the field, we will work together as a team to reach your goals. There is no timeframe to reach these goals and we will get there at your speed. I treat therapy like you are driving a car, you choose the direction and speed while I act as GPS and help guide the path.
If you are struggling, I’d like to offer a safe space where honesty and authenticity are values and encouraged. You don't need to waste time worrying about stigmas or perceptions, because seeing a therapist doesn't mean that anything is inherently wrong with you or that you don't have the capacity to solve your own problems. Family and friends can be incredible sources of support, but they often can feel compelled to "fix" the problems we discuss with them which can lead to us not wanting to burden them and, in turn, just holding on to things. I can offer an objective take, totally free from any judgment or expectations. Let's talk!

I am a psychotherapist and mental health counselor licensed in the state of Florida with over 30 years of experience working in a community mental health setting. I am also trained as a qualified clinical supervisor for over 5 years. In my career, I generally function in the administrative side of behavioral health business but have a strong desire to practice the clinical base of my training and licensure. I began working as telehealth therapist in 2020 at the height of Covid-19 pandemic, when it became apparent there was a wide need to access mental health care.
