Hi there - I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I completed my Master of Social Work degree at the University of South Florida. I also have a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Southeastern University. I have worked in the mental health field for 15 years. I have provided counsel to assist people from diverse backgrounds, assisting many clients with anxiety/depression, provided trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, family therapy, parenting skills, and other counseling services for people facing life’s many problems.

I am a licensed clinical social worker committed to having a successful therapeutic relationship with clients. I like to empower and collaboratively work with clients to address their concerns, reach their personal goals and optimal potentials. I've always wanted to help people and I've always been a really social person; therapy allows me to do both and serve clients who may not have sought therapy before. Being a Black woman, I understand that people who look like me are least likely to seek therapy; this is one of the reasons I chose to become a therapist. I love interacting with clients from all different backgrounds as this widens my therapeutic practice. I received my undergraduate degree from FSU and my MSW degree from FIU.

After graduating from Troy University with my Master's in Counseling and Psychology, I have worked in several different capacities. I have experience with inpatient group settings, outpatient counseling settings to include working with those suffering from addiction and working towards recovery, depression and anxiety among other mental health concerns. One of my most rewarding experiences was working with PTSD survivors. I recently have received my doctorate in Psychology with a concentration in grief counseling. I most enjoy being a part of my client's journey to mental health recovery. Also, I have been an Adjunct Psychology Professor for over the past 6 years and have been immersed in the academic arena which has allowed me to assist undergraduate psychology majors who wish to go into higher levels of education. I specialize in working with adolescence and their families and adults. Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, emotional dysregulation, addictions, behavioral issues, communication style improvement, self-confidence building, and relationship improvements are some of the issues that I treat in my practice.

Hello I am Aida Sek, LCSW, a bilingual trauma psychotherapist, holding licenses in the states of Florida, Virginia and Colorado. Some of my specialties include trauma, addiction and codependency recovery, PTSD resolution through EMDR, perinatal mental health, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, conflict resolution, multicultural and adjustment issues.
