New to Grow
My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported—while also helping you make real progress. I also have a strong commitment to working with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. Whether you’re navigating coming out or relationship challenges, my goal is to support you in feeling seen, validated, and empowered. Reaching out for help can feel difficult, I provide a warm, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood while working toward meaningful change.Together, we focus on building insight, strengthening relationships, and developing real-life tools.
The core of any relationship is trust and respect, including in a therapeutic one. My goal from the start is to provide a comfortable and relaxed environment. Understanding goals and your 'why' for therapy is important in our first session.
Clients often tell me they feel comfortable opening up with me quickly and appreciate my warm, down-to-earth style. Although I may ask questions that could be difficult to answer, my goal is to be supportive and helpful in finding the answers.
I work well with a variety of people. But ultimately those committed to seeking change. To reach therapy goals, work outside of the session is sometimes needed. I prefer clients that are willing to do 'homework' and communicate well. My background is mostly children through middle -age, but I am open to older adults. I also have experience with families and communication is the core of many of these issues.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
The way we perceive things and situations, often dictate our reactions and feelings. We can adjust that thought process to see situations from a different perspective. I also utilize real life scenarios to make reality, just that.
