Hi my name is Amy, and I first want to acknowledge how difficult and scary it feels to begin the process of therapy, either for the first time or starting with a new therapist. I take very seriously the enormous strength that takes and I work very hard to ensure that you feel safe and heard as we begin the therapeutic relationship. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 15 years of experience providing counseling in both inpatient and outpatient centers. I received my Master’s degree in counseling in 2008, from Webster University. I had the privilege of working in an inpatient eating disorder facility for five years and have continued that work in outpatient settings. I am an ally to the LGBTQ community and it is important to me that clients find this a safe space. I have a passion for connecting with teenagers, college students and career women to build a safe place with an adult where they can voice their feelings and experiences without fear of judgement. I also especially enjoy working with young adult women as they navigate their way through the process of beginning adulthood. I have experience with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and general women’s issue. I am especially passionate about working with CPTSD and PTSD. I have received training and supervision in working with trauma as it is a highly specialized field. Trauma survivors need validation, belief, compassion and acceptance first and foremost before a trusting relationship can be established. I have working with women exiting a toxic relationship, having endured narcissistic abuse and/or infidelity (betrayal trauma) which is many times misunderstood by well-intentioned people. My approach is warm, compassionate and highly empathetic as I work to establish a safe environment for healing to take place.

Hello! I’m Kenneth Todd, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience helping individuals, couples, and families move toward the lives they truly want. I earned my degree from the University of West Florida and have worked across diverse settings, always guided by one core belief: you are the expert on your life. My approach is rooted in Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) — a dynamic, forward-looking method that emphasizes your strengths, your vision, and your capacity for change. SFT is built on four pillars: • Description: What does your best life look like? • Difference: What’s already working, even a little? • Change: What small steps can build momentum? • Outcome: What will life be like when things improve? Together, we’ll explore your goals, uncover your inner resources, and build a path toward meaningful outcomes. Whether you're navigating a life transition, seeking clarity, or simply want to feel more like yourself again — I’m here to help you discover who you are at your best. Licensed Psychotherapist | Culturally Sensitive | Trauma-Informed Welcome, I’m Nubia. Healing doesn’t happen overnight — but with the right support, it absolutely happens. Whether you're working through trauma, betrayal, anxiety, divorce, or simply feeling emotionally stuck, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity, strength, and care. I work with adults navigating life transitions, stress, or emotional wounds that have been hard to process alone. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or unsure of how to break free from patterns that no longer serve them. Together, we explore the deeper “why” behind those patterns — and create space for healing, resilience, and growth. My approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). These methods help us understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected — and how to gently shift the beliefs that keep you feeling stuck. But beyond technique, I lead with authenticity, compassion, and cultural awareness. In our sessions, you’ll find a space that feels safe, honest, and judgment-free. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning to it, you are welcome exactly as you are. Clients often tell me they feel more centered, more empowered, and more hopeful after working together. I offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and virtual sessions, because healing should fit into real life. If you’re ready to begin your journey — whether you’re clear on your goals or still figuring them out — I’d be honored to support you. Let’s take the first step, together. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, offering both in-person and telehealth therapy. I work with adults who have been carrying a lot for a long time and are realizing it may finally be time to prioritize their own well-being. I specialize in working with trauma survivors, people experiencing depression and anxiety, and individuals in recovery from addiction. My clinical background includes working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns, and people living with chronic mental illness. These experiences have shaped a grounded, trauma-informed approach that respects the complexity of what people have lived through and the ways they learned to survive it. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in old patterns, or affected by experiences from the past that continue to show up in their relationships and daily lives. Some have spent years putting other people’s needs ahead of their own or simply doing what they needed to do to get through difficult circumstances. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and respectful of your pace. Therapy with me focuses on helping you find relief from emotional pain and anxiety while developing greater self-understanding and a sense of safety that allows deeper healing to occur. Together, we work toward a life that feels steadier, more meaningful, and more authentically your own.

I specialize in trauma, anxiety, grief, emotional regulation, relationship concerns, life transitions, and helping clients understand patterns that may be keeping them stuck. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and increasingly focused on the connection between the mind and body. My advanced credentials and training include CCTP, C-DBT, CAMS-II, CAGCS, Parent Training Specialist II, and additional education in neuropsychotherapy/neurotherapy, mental health and nutrition, and personality disorder treatment. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida since March 2007. I have over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy and assessing adults, families and children in multiple settings. I consider myself skilled using a variety of clinical interventions (expressive arts with cognitive-behavioral, client-centered and trauma-informed approaches) in three languages: English, Spanish and French. I am a Colombian born immigrant who came to the US to further my education and practice as a psychotherapist. During my years of experience in psychotherapy I learned to incorporate the creative side of the human brain to facilitate expression and better flow the emotional communication. I have helped many people work through coping with life changes, stress, depression, anxiety, trauma and other multiple issues... I thrive in connecting with the person and developing trust, hope and faith in the therapeutic -and creative- process. My main focus is to provide a safe space for open conversations -via TeleHealth or in office- that allow the person to find their own path towards growing and healing. It takes courage to face our psychological challenges AND to take the first steps towards change, if you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you all the way! I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as your authentic self, feel genuinely heard, and explore what is happening in your life without fear of judgment. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with doctoral-level training, I am passionate about helping individuals better understand themselves, navigate difficult experiences, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier patterns that support meaningful and lasting change. My approach is warm, collaborative, compassionate, and empowering. I do not believe therapy is about simply telling you what to do or giving you a list of solutions. Instead, I work alongside you to understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, recognize your strengths, and develop practical tools that can help you move forward with greater confidence and intention. I also understand that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you are used to handling things on your own. My goal is to create an environment where you can be honest, curious, and supported while working at a pace that feels appropriate for you. Whether you are navigating stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, emotional overwhelm, or simply feeling ready for something different, therapy can provide an opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, stronger boundaries, healthier relationships, improved coping skills, and deeper confidence in the choices you make. I want you to leave therapy not only feeling understood, but also feeling more equipped to navigate life independently, trust yourself, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters most to you. I view therapy as a partnership, and I value creating a space where you can feel challenged, encouraged, and genuinely supported throughout the process.

Hello, I’m Dennis Alvarez, PsyD. I believe counseling should both encourage and thoughtfully challenge individuals to move toward their fullest potential by addressing the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of their lives. I hold a Doctorate in Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a licensed psychotherapist with experience across hospital, treatment, and private-practice settings. Throughout my career, I have provided individual and group therapy as well as comprehensive psychological assessments to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relational distress, substance-use concerns, and life-transition stressors. My clinical background includes work in hospitals, substance-use treatment programs, and outpatient private practice, where I integrate evidence-based approaches within a holistic, person-centered framework. I am also the author of When Heaven Was Silent: Integrating Psychology and Theology in the Garden of Gethsemane, which explores the experience of mental suffering through both clinical and historical perspectives. My doctoral dissertation focused on trauma and psychological adaptation, further shaping my approach to helping individuals understand their internal patterns, build resilience, and restore a sense of meaning and purpose. In my work with clients, I emphasize helping people understand how and why certain thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns develop, particularly in the context of anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-use histories. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment while also encouraging insight, personal responsibility, and growth. My goal is to help you move toward a more grounded, authentic, and meaningful life.

I'm Sarah and I am a licensed mental health counselor who practices talk therapy. However- I'm also a human and I treat our interaction as so. We are equal. I am simply a catalyst to help you do the work and reach your potential. I am a listening ear, and a guiding hand. My approach to therapy is relaxed and open-minded. I take a solution-focused approach to solving problems. I often utilize motivational interviewing, which helps to make the conversation more natural while still allowing us to get some real work done. I have helped clients build self-esteem, develop resiliency, and overcome life's obstacles through a personalized treatment plan tailored to each client. My favorite part of this work is watching someone tap into their own resources that they didn't even know they had.

My name is JoAnn. Reach out to me when you are feeling anxiety or depression in dealing with life’s problems. I believe asking for help is a sign of strength and that sometimes people just need a boost to get them through a difficult time. I don’t believe in staying in counseling for years but coming back as needed instead. I’ve helped countless people to manage their anxiety and overcome depression without medication and able to work with individuals, couples, and children.
