I’m a bilingual licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood-related concerns, grief/loss, overwhelming life stress, among others. In addition, I work regularly with Spanish-speaking populations. Many of the individuals I work with appear to be functioning on the outside, yet internally feel exhausted, stuck, or weighed down by emotions they’ve been carrying for a long time. My role is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can make sense of what you’re experiencing, develop effective coping skills, and move toward meaningful changes that improve daily functioning, relationships, and overall well-being. Therapy is collaborative, paced to your needs, and focused on lasting growth. My goal is to help you feel more confident navigating challenges and more connected to yourself again.

Together, we'll make sense of what's weighing on you, identify patterns that may be holding you back, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful strategies that fit your life. Hi, I'm Ricardo. I'm a Hispanic man who's done my own work in therapy to figure out who I am and who I want to be—which is a big part of why I do this work today. I went into counseling field because I kept seeing people who felt unheard or misunderstood by the people around them, often carrying more than anyone realized. That's especially true for a lot of men and teenage boys I've worked with—individuals who feel like they're supposed to be strong, keep things to themselves, or handle things alone, but who rarely have a space to actually talk about what's underneath that. I grew up seeing some of those same pressures and unhealthy patterns around what it means to "be a man," and part of my work now is helping men and boys move away from those roles and into a healthier, more grounded version of who they are—as partners, providers, sons, and people. I especially enjoy working with teenage boys who are figuring out who they are, often at an age when it's hard to talk to the adults around them about what's really going on. I try to meet them where they are—not lecturing, not judging—so they actually want to keep showing up and talking. For parents: if your son is pulling away, shutting down, or you're just not sure how to reach him right now, that's exactly the kind of thing we can work through together. Outside of the therapy room, I'm endlessly curious—I love traveling, learning about different cultures, sports, and music (I play a bit of guitar). I think that mix of curiosity, care, and having done some of my own work is a lot of what I bring into the room with clients.

I am a licensed therapist in the sunshine state of Florida. I have over 20 years of experience in the social services field, helping women and children who are survivors of trauma. After obtaining a Master's in marriage and family therapy, I have worked in private practice and nonprofit organizations, fostering a safe and supportive space for individuals, couples, and families to heal, grow, and build stronger connections. I have experience providing services to individuals, couples, and families, with an array of mental health and emotional issues ranging from depression, anxiety, infidelity, communication, self-esteem, family conflict, parenting, and ADHD. Experiencing challenges could be overwhelming, draining, and lonely at times, which is why I believe that as a therapist the most important tool I can offer is being present and genuinely caring for the wellbeing of those seeking help. My work encompasses individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, depression, manage or improve addictive behavior, emotional dysregulation and life transitions (including women's issues). My work is informed by formal training in EMDR as well as, traditional talk therapy with a strong foundation in CBT and DBT—but therapy with me isn’t about rigid techniques or worksheets for the sake of it. I focus on helping clients understand why patterns exist, not just how to manage symptoms. EMDR allows us to work at the root level and utilize the integration of traditional talk therapy with CBT and DBT. Cognitive and Dialectical behavioral therapies provide practical tools for navigating daily life such as, mindfulness practices and working to defeat cognitive distortions that impact our relationships. I integrate these approaches thoughtfully, adapting the work to the person in front of me rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all model. Clients often describe my style as direct, solution focused, collaborative, and grounded. The bond that is created between us is the most important, and I believe meaningful change happens when therapy feels both safe, person centered and honest—where insight leads to action, and healing is something we actively build together.

I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood, so you can begin to feel relief knowing your healing journey is underway. I want you to feel proud of yourself for taking the step to prioritize your mental health; it truly matters. My style is warm, patient, encouraging, and direct in a way that supports growth without feeling harsh or overwhelming. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida with a Master of Social Work (MSW), and I work with teens, young adults, couples, families, and individuals across the lifespan. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and evidence-based strategies for anxiety and emotional well-being. In our work together, I focus on helping you better understand yourself, process what you’re going or have gone through, and build practical tools to manage anxiety, trauma, depression, and life’s daily challenges. I believe in supporting healing from a trauma-informed lens while also empowering you to recognize your own strengths and growth along the way. If you’re feeling nervous about starting therapy, I often remind clients: Life will always bring challenges, and we all need support in navigating them. Seeking help is not something to be ashamed or afraid of; it’s a meaningful sign of strength and growth. Plus, there is a world of possibilities on the other side of your fear. Outside of sessions, you’ll usually find me laughing or trying new foods; ideally both at the same time, but I’m not picky.

I am an LMHC therapist, public speaker, community organizer, social and environmental activist, and have been listening for decades. My Master of Clinical Psychotherapy, 2013 came from the University of North Florida. I experienced a Clinical Pastoral Education, in deep listening. I worked in the Talk program at Wounded the warriors talked; I listened. Trauma Supportive Therapy is used to safely address, as slowly as need be, the pain of the past that keeps coming to trip your defenses in the present at all the wrong moments. I can be that supporting presence who will help sort it out by listening, sincerely hearing you, reflecting the depth of your feelings back to you. I practice the therapy of defining personal meaning, so, together we will think about your options, planning, purpose, and goals for living a meaningful life without being afraid of tripping over your past or yourself. I practice person centered therapy by meeting you where you are. I strive to be culturally sensitive, non-prejudicial and use strength-based therapy as a jump point, truly believing I am the guide for you, but you are the treasures and wisdom keeper. Of all the reasons people come to therapy: anger, guilt, anxiety, changes, transitions, depression, trauma, jealousy, and “it is just not working anymore”, the extra burden of race and racism is more than just a nuance to be nodded at in therapy. I will view race as central to all the other pieces, when it is central to you. I am inclusive, secular, competent, affirming, and non-judgmental. I have worked with people in transition, people who are very much defined, “but things got complicated”, people in the communities of LGBTQA, Polyamory, Kink, non-gendered. Each are safe and welcome here.

Therapy offers a dedicated, supportive space to identify obstacles and map a path toward meaningful personal growth. Clients seeking pain reprocessing or somatic therapy must have their pain evaluated by a physician. ******If medical or psychiatric needs exceed virtual outpatient scope, I will assist with referrals to local in-person providers**************

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Let's face it: starting therapy can feel a bit intimidating, especially if you're skeptical it will even work or if you're carrying a lot of pain right now. I get that, which is why my first priority is simply building real trust with you—and yes, I bring plenty of humor, empathy, and insight into the room to keep things grounded. I specialize in working with teens, adults, couples, and families who are tired of being stuck in the same painful cycles. My approach skips the clinical textbook jargon to focus on practical, personalized strategies that actually make sense for your life, helping you find relief and create real change as quickly as possible.
