Hi, I'm Chris! I've been practicing since 2016 and have worked with a variety of clients such as domestic violence survivors, human trafficking survivors, people with anger issues, individuals in difficult relationships, people who are depressed, people who have anxiety, individuals with PTSD, individuals in jails and prisons, and people who just aren't sure of where to turn to for help.
I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hodges University, and my BS in Criminal Justice from Florida Gulf Coast University. I started my private practice in 2022 after working for a national public mental health agency, which specializes in serious mental illness.
We all struggle to get through life. Sometimes it feels like we are sinking instead of swimming and there is no one around to help you keep your head above water. Wouldn't it be nice to enjoy more of life and decrease your stress and frustrations? I enjoy helping people who want to succeed in making their life meaningful and fulfilling while decreasing their emotional dysregulation, stress, and feeling overwhelmed with life. I provide the space you need to share your concerns and struggles and work with you to overcome your obstacles.
You are capable, dependable, and used to carrying a great deal on your shoulders. Others often look to you for support, strength, and stability. But even the strongest people can begin to feel emotionally exhausted when stress becomes constant and there is little time to rest, recover, or care for themselves.
I specialize in working with healthcare professionals, caregivers, leaders, and high-achieving adults who are experiencing burnout, chronic stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. Many of my clients are functioning well on the outside while internally feeling drained, mentally overloaded, disconnected from themselves, or uncertain about their sense of purpose.
With over 13 years of clinical experience across healthcare systems, private practice, and community settings, I understand how prolonged pressure and responsibility can quietly impact emotional well-being. My approach is warm, supportive, and grounded in helping clients slow down, reconnect with themselves, strengthen healthy boundaries, and build a more sustainable and balanced way of living — not just surviving.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I am passionate about supporting teens and young (in age and at heart) adults, particularly those navigating life’s complexities and searching for a path to inner peace and balanced character. With a background in both psychology and health science (earning a double major Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science with concentrations in Social and Behavioral and Biological Health Science from the University of South Florida), I integrate a holistic understanding of mental, social, and physical well-being into my therapeutic practice.

Are you feeling OVERWHELMED or STRESSED? Thinking, “I don’t know how much more of this I can take!”
Perhaps you may feel hopeless from symptoms of depression; over-the-edge and worried from symptoms of anxiety; inattentive, fidgety, or hyper-focused from symptoms of ADHD; quick-to-click from anger; a salad bowl of feelings from grief; substance use that led to a relationship or legal troubles; sorting through 50+ reasons as to why you should stay or leave an abusive relationship; or a person, place or situation has triggered a trauma memory. I get it. I understand that either of these experiences listed is a lot to manage while trying to work, relate to your spouse or partner, parent, or care for ailing parents, and the tasks can go on and on.
I already think you are pretty awesome to seek assistance. So, let’s partner and get to work.
I am a Master’s level, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor in Florida. Hey there, I’m Dr. Gittelson (you can call me Dr. G. for short) and I'm a licensed clinical psychologist.
I know how difficult it can be to start therapy, and if you are reading this then you have already taken a step to getting started and that is a huge win! Whether you are seeking therapy in-person or from the comfort of your couch (pet cameos are always welcome), I aim to create a space that is grounded, supportive, and free of judgement. I am so glad that you are here!
If you’re interested, below is a little more about how I developed my clinical background and areas of training:
My path in psychology began at Florida International University, where I earned my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. I later completed my Psy.D. at Nova Southeastern University, with training in neuropsychological assessment as well as clinical work in foster care and the dependency court system. During my doctoral internship at the Mental Health Center of Florida, I worked across community mental health, family court, and private clinical settings with a wide range of individuals and families. I went on to complete my postdoctoral fellowship at Alliance for Psychological Services, where I provided therapy and psychological assessments in forensic and high-intensity settings, including court-mandated work involving family court, dependency court, and the Department of Corrections. Today, I provide both therapy and psychological assessment. My clinical work often centers around anxiety, depression, trauma histories, life transitions, and complex family dynamics. I also have a strong interest in sports and performance psychology, particularly in supporting athletes and high-performing individuals who want to strengthen the connection between mental and physical performance.

I did my training in Colorado and have been a licensed psychologist for over 23 years. My areas of specialty include counseling and diagnostic clarification for cognitive, personality and intellectual concerns. All of my work is performed via a secure video link. We can meet via online video, text or voice sessions. I am flexible regarding session times and encourage you to contact me if there is not a convenient time listed in my schedule and we'll work something out that is perfect for you.
I approach mental wellness as a spectrum of being that will regularly ebb and flow for all people. We all have "good" days and "not so good" days; we all need someone to talk to and to listen to us when days are harder, and we all need a compassionate voice to tell us that we can work through this. Menatl health work is manageable when it is education and information based, which helps us to make our problems seem more manageable. I like to help my clients feel comfortable about talking through their thoughts and obstacles, and finding real, simple solutions to problems. I have worked with people of all ages; my youngest client was 3 years old, and my oldest client was 84; I am proud to say that I can adjust to meet clients' needs. This is due to my ability to listen and to collaborate actively with clients to help them have a say in their care and healing.
What typically surprises people is that I am the 11th of 13 children - all from the same parents. Growing up with so many siblings has given me a great opportunity to learn about family dynamics and effective discipline. My parents did a great job of maintaining a safe and well-behaved home, and I use their example as a template while also incorporating my own experience as a parent for working with families today.
As for my approach to therapy, I use several different theories depending on the need of the client; however, my primary mode is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It just fits my personality. If you are looking for a therapist who focuses solely on your emotions and how you're feeling on any given day, then I will not be a good fit for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for a therapist who not only does all that but who will also listen to everything you say (as well as the meaning behind what you say) and then challenge your thinking habits to help you find more effective and productive thinking patterns, then I'm on board for that. I learned a long time ago that many clients do not want things "Sugar Coated", but rather prefer their therapist to be respectfully bold and blunt. If this is who you are looking for in a therapist, then let's get to work.

Much of my experience has been working with children, adolescents, and families within child welfare settings, where I developed a strong interest in trauma-informed care, relationship dynamics, and emotional wellness.

Hi, I’m Desiree, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with adults who appear capable on the outside but internally struggle with chronic self-doubt, overthinking, and people-pleasing. Many of my clients worry they are “too much” or not good enough, even while managing a lot in their lives.
In therapy, we focus on understanding these patterns and where they come from, while building self-trust, stronger boundaries, and more confidence in your decisions. My approach is relational and person-centered, and I see people as whole humans, not diagnoses.
Clients often share that they feel comfortable opening up with me quickly and that they feel genuinely heard. I believe that kind of connection is a key part of meaningful change.

My career in mental health in 1977 working in a psychiatric hospital; and later as a outpatient therapist in a community mental health center working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I was licensed in Florida in 1986 as a Mental Health Counselor and have maintained my license since that date. Also I have worked as an employee assistance counselor, school counselor, associate professor at an international university, and court evaluator for guardianship cases. For 20 years I worked as a cancer counselor with oncology clients helping them cope with illness, stress, and emotional distress.

Later when I began working with an elderly population and clients dealing with physical limitations, I taught Qigong and Mindfulness Meditation as a way to improve their health, well-being, and cope with stress. My therapeutic style centers around getting to know a client, develop trust, and talking more explicitly about issues before making any recommendations. I am a strong advocate of evidence-based treatments and teaching ‘tools’ to cope with stress and emotional difficulties. I have gained training in trauma treatment because we now know that it is prevalent in our life experiences. I value compassion, persistence, and patience in working towards change. I look forward to working with you. I also value your time and want to use it productively in assisting you to reach your therapeutic goals.
My name is Sharon Ehrlich and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working as a Therapist. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors and a Masters in Social Work. I became licensed two years after I graduated and received this license in the State of Florida. I have experience working with children and families in the foster care system, children at school and adults in a hospital setting in the Behavioral Health Unit. I have worked with clients who experience anxiety, depression, ADHD, school stress, and conflicts in the family. I use a client centered approach and start where the client is and take it from there. The client's goals are important and the sessions will focus on what the client would like to work on first.
It takes courage to ask for help and I'm so happy that you did. We can work on these goals together and please let me know when you would like to set up a session. :)
Sometimes people experience emotional problems (e.g., anxiety, depression), behavioral problems (e.g., overeating, smoking), or relationship problems (e.g., excessive arguing, poor communication) that interfere with their daily functioning. These difficulties result from the interaction of biological, learning, behavioral, and environmental factors, which influence patterns of thinking and behaving. Negative life events can contribute to the development of self-defeating patterns of thinking and behaving, which some people can have difficulty changing. In my work, which I have been practicing for 42 years, I help people identify these self-defeating patterns and develop strategies for dealing with them. I emphasize the importance of practicing these strategies consistently, with the goal of handling emotions more effectively and behaving in more responsible and healthy ways. I focus on life pattern changes with respect to relationships, depression, anxiety, anger control, impulse control, and stress management.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker who works with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship stress, betrayal trauma, codependency, perfectionism, and major life transitions. My style is warm, practical, and collaborative. I believe therapy should offer both a safe place to be understood and real tools clients can use in everyday life.
I often work with thoughtful, capable people who have spent years holding everything together for others while feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. I help clients slow down, make sense of their patterns, reduce shame, build healthier boundaries, and reconnect with their own strength and clarity. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and direct when needed, with a focus on helping clients feel more grounded, confident, and empowered in their lives and relationships.

I'm so happy that you reached out for help. I am Taneisha Riley. Since childhood and into my professional career, I have always held one thing above all—helping people navigate difficult circumstances and situations, finding solutions that allow the average person to live with greater purpose and fulfillment. This quest to change lives led me into the counseling field. My treatment approach is holistic, attending to your mental and emotional well-being. I also offer marital and couples counseling, as well as Christian counseling. I believe it’s not enough to treat the body if the mind remains off-balance. My treatment regimen is holistic—attending to your mental, and emotional well-being. I can also be of service if you are seeking marital and/or couples counseling and Christian counseling.

Hi, I’m Cornelia. (Hablo Espanol)
I know it is not easy to speak to a stranger about the hardest things we are going through. I commend you for stepping out of your comfort zone and seeking therapy.
I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2008. I am qualified to provide therapy/counseling to those who live in Florida. I do not prescribe medication because I am not a psychiatrist. I can refer you to one if needed.
I have worked with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment and life transitions, women's issues, weight difficulties, addictions, chronic/terminal illness and caregiver burnout. I acknowledge your journey and will teach positive ways to deal with difficulties that are serving as obstacles preventing you from transforming your life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I was born and raised in Western New York and graduated with a Masters in Social Work in 2002 from the University at Buffalo. I have worked in a variety of settings and with people from all walks of life. I am so grateful for each one of them, and I am grateful for the lessons they have taught me.
Life is hard. I offer a safe space for my clients to work through and process the difficulties they are facing while encouraging them to take good care of themselves, to seek out and nurture positive connections with others, and to search for and hold onto the things that make life worth living. I have a compassionate heart, and I am a good listener. I feel it is an honor and a privilege to do this work.
