Welcome and I'm glad you are here! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about making a difference. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or not quite like yourself—especially during major life transitions—you’re not alone. I work with adults, couples, and families with a special focus on navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, postpartum changes, and relationship challenges.
I also help clients with boundary setting, narcissistic family dynamics and marital conflict, anger management, and building self-esteem. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel more confident and in control of your life.
As a mental health professional for over twenty-five years, I am dedicated to helping clients explore options and strategies so that they may live a healthier and happier life. I provide compassionate care and counseling to individuals in Illinois, Missouri and Florida via Telehealth. I possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work specializing in Mental Health and Addictions. I also have completed a Master of Business Administration Degree focused on Healthcare Management. I am a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, camping and traveling.
I have extensive experience in Leadership and Direct Care positions within Inpatient and Outpatient Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Recovery and Rehabilitation facilities. As a result of those experiences, I witnessed and truly believe mental health and addiction recovery is possible. As we each experience our life’s journey, the good, bad, and ugly, we continue to learn and grow along the way. Many journeys will include troubled times resulting in anxiety, mood disorders, grief, loss, parenting difficulties, relationship issues, addictions and other challenges along the way. But most will also include exciting and positive times such as graduations, college, marriage, career advancements, births, relocations, new homes, new friends, and many more. Although positive, adjustment to these experiences may also result in a need for support during the transition.
As a Social Worker, my approach will focus on the whole individual to identify other factors contributing to the current problem. This will include past and current relationships, health issues, work, living and social environments.
My goal is to help clients find hope, joy and peace. They will achieve this by learning to view problems differently and using healthy coping skills to make changes and adjust to a new normal.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience across school, healthcare, and community settings, I provide a compassionate, grounded space where individuals across the lifespan can find support. Whether you are a youth navigating everyday pressures, a transitioning young adult, an older adult adjusting to life stage changes, a military family member, or a caregiver seeking a space to recharge, you do not have to carry it all alone.
My approach is person-centered, collaborative, and strengths-based. I integrate trauma-informed care, CBT, and DBT-informed strategies to help you work through anxiety, depression, anger, grief, and complex transitions. Together, we will focus on building emotional regulation, fostering resilience, and developing practical tools that empower you to create meaningful, lasting change in your life.
"You are your best thing"-Toni Morrison. Growing through this journey we call life will unfortunately bring things you can't control & it's not always easy to cope & it's not always easy to talk to someone. Going to therapy doesn't "fix" you. It enhances you, it helps you to better understand why you struggle with certain patterns & behaviors & why you feel stuck at times. So, pat yourself on the back for choosing yourself, right now in this moment & for making the right decision to strive beyond where you are. Know you don't have to walk this journey alone.
I'm a diverse & creative therapist who is passionate about helping people rise above unfortunate obstacles to help them reach a potential they didn't know they had within them. Yes, you have the potential to be a better version of yourself. It has always been there. It's the inner strength you haven't tapped into yet.
Some of my specialties are helping individuals who struggle with: low-self esteem, relationship issues, PTSD, over-thinking, boundary setting, codependency, low-confidence, self-worth & perfectionism, high achiever's.

Do you find yourself constantly worrying or overthinking every possible outcome? Do you feel like you must prepare for the worst just to feel in control? Maybe you struggle with uncertainty, fear making the wrong decision, or feel like everything has to be done perfectly. Anxiety can leave you feeling restless, exhausted, and stuck in patterns that affect your sleep, your relationships, and your peace of mind. Life transitions often bring us into what can feel like “stormy waters.” As Viktor Frankl wrote, “When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”
I specialize in helping those suffering from anxiety, including health care professionals and veterans. You don't have to continue suffering. As a seasoned therapist, I can help you feel empowered to stop the cycle of worry and anxiety, find your sense of purpose, and reclaim your life.
The good news is that we've all gone through seasons of our lives when we feel this way. The first step is to reach out to someone for help. My approach is straightforward: together we will identify your goals, establish a problem-solving treatment plan, and go from there. If something is telling you it's time to begin your journey; give me a call.

I have successfully treated a diverse population of adults and older adolescents with mental health inquiries specifically with anxiety, depression or trauma. I strongly believe in contributing to the well-being of clients using a client-centered, caring/compassionate individualized approach.
When life feels heavy, it's easy to feel disconnected from yourself, your relationships, or the direction you want your life to take. Many of the individuals and couples I work with are at a crossroads—frustrated, sometimes burnt out, and seeking practical, workable strategies for change. Therapy offers a dedicated, supportive space to identify obstacles and map a path toward meaningful personal growth.
With over 15 years of experience across healthcare, restorative justice, and outpatient settings, I provide telehealth therapy at Grow for adults and couples. My practice focuses on:
*Chronic Pain & Complex Medical Issues
*Anxiety & Phobias
*Fertility & Family Building Support
*LGBTQ+ & Gender-Affirming Care
*Eating Disorder/Substance Use Step-Down Maintenance: Supporting ongoing recovery from substance use or eating disorders following higher levels of care.
*Couples Therapy: Improving communication and relational dynamics (clinical outpatient focus only).
Practice Boundaries & Administrative Policies
To maintain a clear focus on clinical care, please review the following scope boundaries:
*Legal & Forensic Services: I do not provide forensic evaluations, court-ordered treatment, litigation support, or expert witness testimony for legal proceedings, divorce, or custody disputes.
*Disability & Administrative Paperwork: I do not perform disability evaluations or complete short/long-term disability claims; I do not write Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters.
*Telehealth & Medical Requirements: Virtual therapy for chronic pain, ARFID, or medical distress serves strictly as a complementary psychological service. Because virtual care lacks physical monitoring:
A. Clients with ARFID or eating disorders must maintain ongoing care with an in-person physician for routine medical safety.
B. Clients seeking pain reprocessing or somatic therapy must have their pain evaluated by a physician.
******If medical or psychiatric needs exceed virtual outpatient scope, I will assist with referrals to local in-person providers**************

Hello. I’m Jamie and I’ve been a practicing therapist for many years. You may be recovering from addiction, childhood trauma, toxic relationships, or perhaps, all of these things! I know most people don't go through life untouched by trauma, anxiety, unhealthy habits or some kind of issue that deeply affects them. I also know life's problems do not come with troubleshooting instructions but I belive I know how to help people begin to effectively address them. Whether they were caused by genetic predisposition, environmental stress or undeterminable origins, my beliefs are: We can have a life worth living regardless of how it started. There is help worth seeking, and problems get better with wise counsel.

Dealing with the struggles I have had throughout my life has helped me work with people and develop creative and effective coping mechanisms for their specific issues. I have now lived and worked in several states with varying cultures and have benefited from all of these experiences. I have spent a lot of time in a hospital and work well with nurses and medical professionals as well. I earned my Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida and my Doctorate degree from Arizona State University. I am currently licensed to practice in Florida, Maine, Virginia, Arizona, California, Kansas, Vermont, Maryland, and Colorado. Although I reside in Florida, I provide telehealth services to clients across these states.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based. I believe each person has the capacity for growth and healing, and I work alongside clients to help them recognize their resilience and build meaningful change. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, or relationship challenges, I provide a supportive space to help you find balance, clarity, and emotional well-being.
