Hello there! Congratulations on taking the first step towards making a positive change in your life! I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) based in North Carolina and Florida. I specialize in working with adults ages 18 and over. My main goal is to empower you to break down the barriers that are holding you back from living as your true, authentic self. By utilizing a range of therapeutic approaches, I aim to help you develop the necessary tools to cope with life's challenges and overcome any obstacles you may be facing.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Often meeting someone for the first time can cause some increased anxiety! This is normal; we are complete strangers and you are going to disclose some personal information about yourself and to a total stranger! So after some brief introductions, we will get to know each other a bit, you can ask about the process or what to expect and then we will dive into understanding the areas you are struggling most in as to develop a concise treatment plan and create goals and objectives going forward. By the time the session is completed, you will feel less anxious and better prepared to start this journey!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my biggest strengths is my genuine care and friendliness. I strive to create a safe space where you can freely express your fears, doubts, and worries without judgment. I am also a strong advocate for all my clients and will go the extra mile by providing additional resources outside of therapy when needed.

CBT is goal oriented that helps challenge negative or unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFBT is based on the idea that Clients have the resources and skills necessary to create positive change. The goal is to identify and build on these strengths, very effective for those motivated to make changes in a practical solution focus

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Therapy that combines CBT and mindfulness, learn methods to accept thoughts and emotions and making choices that align with one's own values and goals
