My name is Corina Forte and I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) mental health counselor with over 10 years of experience helping individuals and families heal from trauma, cope with mood disorders, and find meaning during serious illness. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I focused on grief, loss, and trauma counseling. I also completed post-graduate training at the Jung Institute, deepening my background in Jungian analysis and dream interpretation.  In my work, I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment for my clients to feel safe exploring their inner experiences. I employ a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy,Gestalt therapy, existential therapy, and expressive arts. For clients dealing with trauma or PTSD, I utilize EMDR and somatic therapy to help process and release memories stored in the body. For those facing terminal illness or the loss of a loved one, I incorporate techniques from palliative care counseling to foster dignity and peace.

I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida as well as a certified EMDRIA-approved EMDR therapist. I specialize in working with people who feel overworked for other people in their life while feeling underappreciated and left alone, feeling confused about who they are and what they can do to gain a sense of control back in their life. I became a psychotherapist because I've experienced the need to have someone who can show me what I could not see because they have a genuine interest in my well-being and potential. Together we will find the root of your behavioral/emotional difficulties from scientific, psychological, and spiritual perspectives. You will uncover resources that can only be found in you to overcome the difficulties. Eventually, striving for wholeness will be the life journey that you will gladly take on outside of a therapy session.

I specialize in EMDR therapy, helping people find relief from trauma, anxiety, and performance-based stress. My passion is working with professionals, athletes, and high achievers who feel stuck due to mental blocks. Whether you’re dealing with past trauma, anxiety, or challenges like Loss of Movement Syndrome (the yips), I offer a supportive space where you can heal and thrive. I believe in creating a non-judgmental, compassionate environment where you feel empowered to explore your emotions and experiences. My approach blends EMDR with techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centered Therapy. This combination helps us tackle both the immediate challenges you’re facing and the deeper patterns that may be holding you back. Clients often appreciate how I balance evidence-based practices with a personal, empathetic touch. Our sessions aren’t just about resolving symptoms—they’re about helping you tap into your inner strength and move toward a more fulfilling life. Whether you’re looking to overcome trauma, manage anxiety, or improve your performance under pressure, I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs and goals. I’m committed to walking alongside you on your journey, supporting you as you create meaningful change and reach new personal and professional heights.

Relationships are important. They can bring us joy, and connection, and opportunities to grow. You talk to friends and loved ones, you spend time with them, and you likely do caring things for them. And, how much time do you spend deepening your relationship with yourself? Do you pay attention to how you talk to yourself, how you spend time with yourself, how you care for your Self? It is my experience both personally and professionally that when we spend time working on our relationship with Self, not only do we become happier, and more peaceful internally- our external relationships with others improve as well. Would you like to work on your relationship with yourself? Let’s do it!

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Florida rather than a city like Tampa?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Florida from Miami to Jacksonville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Florida.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

What are the "Clients say I'm" badges?

Grow Therapy asks patients about their experience with therapists after they have had a certain number of sessions. After enough responses, we add those characteristics to their profiles to help you find the best online therapists for you. We're still working on collecting this information from all our therapists.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
