My name is Circe Dunwoody. I am a license psychotherapist. In my psychotherapy practice I help couples and individuals to overcome life difficulties by using cognitive behavior therapy. Many couples and individuals feel overwhelmed by the desire to balance the high demands from work and family life. They report feelings of emptiness and loss of drive. Some report feeling of depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. Others contemplate divorce as a solution to decrease the pressure they are internalizing. In life we all need support and understanding from others. Sometimes the best solution is to seek professional help. Having emotional support is extremely helpful. Jack Hazan uses evidence-based interventions to work collaboratively with you to resolve your concerns. He has studied various approaches and techniques proven to bring forth effective results, including internal family systems, CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based therapy, and solution-focused therapy. My style of therapy is more direct and solution-focused than ordinary and outdated talk therapy; I take an active role during our sessions while utilizing more modern and progressive therapeutic techniques proven to bring forth effective results. Some of the modalities I use include sex addiction therapy, internal family systems, LGBTQ+-focused modalities, CBT, DBT, sex therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.

I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 12+ years of experience. My specialties consist of psychosomatic illnesses, relationships, and career counseling. I received my Bachelors degree in Child Psychology, initially working with the teen/young adult population. I then transitioned over to adults as I pursued my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Whether it's individuals, couples, or the geriatric population, I'm happy to get to work with whomever comes my way. I do my best to facilitate a warm, trusting environment. I have been in the mental health field for over 14 years and has worked with clients with anxiety, depression, grief, life transition and many more diagnosis.
