Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and make sure you feel comfortable moving forward. We’ll spend time talking about what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to get out of it. I may ask about: Current concerns or stressors Your mental health history and any past therapy experiences Relevant life experiences, relationships, or patterns you’ve noticed Medical history, medications, or diagnoses (if applicable) You’re always welcome to share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to cover everything in one session. Equally important, we’ll focus on building a genuine connection. I want therapy to feel like a collaborative and supportive space, not an interrogation. You can ask questions about my approach, what sessions typically look like, or anything else you’re curious about. Toward the end of the session, we’ll start to identify goals and discuss how therapy might support you moving forward. This helps us create a plan that fits your needs and preferences. Most importantly, the first session is about creating a safe, respectful space where you feel heard and understood. There’s no “right” or “wrong” way to show up—just come as you are.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths include using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), EMDR, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients process experiences, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and create meaningful change. I prioritize meeting clients where they are and building a genuine therapeutic connection, while supporting sustainable, practical changes that clients can carry into their daily lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults ages 18 and older who are seeking support with personal growth, life challenges, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

I have used Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for over 10 years and have seen strong, lasting outcomes with clients impacted by trauma. My approach emphasizes safety, skill-building, and compassionate trauma processing while supporting emotional regulation and resilience. I tailor TF-CBT to each client’s needs and collaborate with caregivers when appropriate to promote healing and long-term growth.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process traumatic experiences that continue to impact their emotional well-being. My approach is paced, client-centered, and grounded in safety, using EMDR to reduce distress tied to traumatic memories while strengthening adaptive coping and emotional regulation. I tailor the process to each client’s readiness and goals and have seen meaningful symptom reduction and increased resilience through this method.
