Many come to therapy for social anxiety because of childhood trauma and how it has manifested in their adult lives. At its root, the fundamental belief of those who have social anxiety is the belief, “I am not enough.” Clients get into the habit of comparing themselves to others and it makes them feel inadequate and insecure. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Carlos Albizu University, earned in 2021. With over three years of experience, I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, and life transitions. I’m dedicated to helping clients build skills, find clarity, and feel more in control of their lives.

I have experienced many seasons of life. I understand we all are on different routes and make stops along the journey. I try to embrace each new path. Life is full of joy and trials. I assist you in working through life’s challenges. My belief is that these challenges can have value and give us an opportunity for self-reflection and growth. As a clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with culturally, economically and ethnically diverse individuals, families, couples and groups from all walks of life. I have practiced domestically and internationally including, NYC, California and most recently in Dublin, Ireland. (Please note that I am only taking tele-therapy clients and use a HIPPA approved site. I have found using tele-therapy to be very convenient for clients with challenging schedules). I have extensive knowledge and training related to gender identity, sexuality, non-traditional relationships; i.e. polyamory/open relationships, as well as expertise and personal experience with personality disorders including: Narcissism; Borderline; Avoidant; Antisocial and the emotional trauma experienced in relationships with people affected by these mental health issues.
