My experience includes working in public and nonprofit mental health settings with both children and adults. If it is important to you, I am also happy to incorporate your Christian faith into counseling while blending faith-based principles with evidence-based care.

I am a licensed mental health counselor (Florida & Delaware) with over 25 years of experience working with diverse individuals in the community, private practice, and residential substance abuse treatment. My specialties are working with clients who may be suffering from traumatic incidents, substance abuse, various forms of anxiety (PTSD, stress disorders), depression, self-esteem, and gender identity.
Making the decision to receive any form of mental health counseling can be taxing, however, the results are often positive and rewarding. This is just the therapeutic process working to make you emotionally stronger.
*Please note that my preference for treatment sessions are individual and group therapy. However, I do provide a limited number of couples or family therapy sessions for special circumstances.

You may feel desperate, alone, and misunderstood. You feel like you are floating in the bottom of a lake and cannot see the light above you. Everyday, you feel like you are just going through the motions. If this describes you, then I may be the therapist for you. In my nearly twenty years of experience, I have helped people like you reach their potential and achieve the recovery that they needed. There is no set system or quick fix as others may promise, but I will walk down the road with you. My primary focus is on helping you deal with ambiguity. Often our thoughts and subsequently what we teach ourselves becomes rigid and fairly black and white. Using a pragmatic and authentic approach to therapy I try and help you be okay with things that are beyond your control and work with you to establish yourself as the protagonist in your own story. This is primarily accomplished through conversation and allowing you the client to guide the therapy in the direction it needs to go.

Non-traditional beliefs, ideas, and experiences are welcomed to be explored without judgment or pressure to conform. In fact, some the most rewarding therapy sessions for my clients have been discussing unique philosophies that are contrary to popular opinion and culture.
I pride myself in maintaining a strong work ethic, staying well organized, focused and applying strong self-care interventions. I will do my absolute best to ensure our sessions begin and end on time. However, due to the nature of this career, there are occassions where I may be delayed with another person to evaluate for additional interventions (therapists are mandated reporters in Florida). * I am never enough and somehow always too much.*
* I have always felt like the black sheep of the family.*
Does this sound familiar?
From the outside, you look like you have it all together, but on the inside it feels like a completely different story. You may feel worn down by constant worries and sadness, overwhelmed, or on edge. You might not even remember a time when things felt easier. But one thing is clear: you are ready for relief. You are ready to feel calm. You are ready to feel grounded and at peace with yourself. Most of all, you are ready to rediscover your true, confident self. Let's move past the outside noise and focus on real change.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who primarily works with men navigating relationship challenges, communication difficulties, anger, and emotional regulation. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can build resilience, gain clarity, and make meaningful, lasting change.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I’ve had the privilege of supporting adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, grief, and major life transitions since 2014. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University, and my work is grounded in both professional training and a genuine belief that people deserve a place where they can be heard without judgment.
After years of providing in-person therapy, I transitioned to fully virtual care in 2020. Today, I provide accessible, flexible telehealth services to adults in Florida and Vermont, allowing clients to receive support from a place where they feel comfortable and safe.
My clinical work is also informed by lived experience. I’ve navigated grief, significant life transitions, and having cancer twice. These experiences are not the focus of my work, but they have shaped how I show up as a therapist—grounded, present, and respectful of the complexity of what people carry. I understand that healing is not linear and that sometimes strength simply means getting through the day.
I work with adults who may look like they’re managing everything on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, or disconnected on the inside. My approach is collaborative, practical, and paced to your readiness. I draw from CBT, mindfulness-based strategies, trauma-informed care, and person-centered therapy, focusing on both insight and practical tools for everyday life.
Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform, have everything figured out, or push through alone. If something in your life isn’t working the way you want it to, therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what’s happening, and begin moving forward.
~I am currently accepting new clients~ My philosophy is that life is a journey and we can be thrown unexpected difficulties and challenges during the ride. Healing doesn't happen because someone else has all the answers. It happens because, over time, we begin to relate to ourselves with greater honesty, compassion, and courage. I work with individuals, couples, and children. I provide an empathetic non-judgmental environment for clients to feel safe and comfortable while working towards their goals. I have worked with clients on many different complicated issues and relational difficulties.
My areas of specialty include, anxiety and depression, couples and communicational problems, infidelity, self-esteem issues, compulsive overeating, adolescent behavioral problems, and LGBTQ challenges.
I am very passionate about my career and genuinely enjoy helping clients uncover their strengths and resources to reach their goals to live happier and healthier lives. I work with clients of all different ethnic and economic backgrounds.

Everyone thinks you have it together.
You show up for work. You take care of your family. You handle what needs to be done. Yet underneath it all, you’re exhausted. You find yourself overthinking, worrying about everyone else, feeling disconnected from who you used to be, or wondering why life feels so much harder than it should.
Maybe you’ve spent so much time being strong for everyone else that you’ve forgotten what you need.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
For over 23 years, I’ve helped adults navigate anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the overwhelming pressure of trying to hold everything together. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. Together, we’ll identify the patterns keeping you stuck, develop effective coping strategies, and help you reconnect with yourself so life feels more manageable and meaningful again.
Therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating. Sometimes it begins with one conversation and the decision to stop carrying everything alone.

I have worked as a counselor in Florida since 1983 and have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 1988. I have worked in numerous inpatient and outpatient settings, gaining experience with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I am confident I can help you with anxiety, depression, substance use, anger, ADHD, and other concerns.
In addition to counseling, I love spending quiet time in nature (woods, beach, mountains), visiting art museums and galleries, and getting some exercise. For me, these are quiet episodes of escape from the challenges of life. I also love live music, but not because it's quiet.

You may have heard things like, “Just move on,” “let it go,” or “that’s in the past.” But if the pain is still there, if your heart feels heavy, if it affects your daily life, if you have to pretend everything is fine, or if it takes great effort just to get through your responsibilities, you may be experiencing trauma-related responses.
Therapy offers a safe and supportive space where you can process what you’ve been through, validate your emotions, and develop healthy ways to heal and move forward. A trauma-focused approach allows us to work gently and effectively with your experiences while strengthening your emotional stability and sense of control.
