Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy, based in South Florida. I believe the families and communities we grow up in shape nearly everything about who we become — how we love, how we trust, how we cope, and how we show up for the people who matter most to us.
I have a deep appreciation for the richness and complexity that culture, identity, and lived experience bring into the therapy room. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, and I have a particular heart for first-generation individuals and families who are often holding the weight of two worlds — honoring where they came from while finding their footing in where they are.
My specialty is working with individuals, couples, and families navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of early experiences. I am Adrian Marin, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to supporting individuals, children, adolescents, and families through life’s challenges. With over 10 years of experience, I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy tailored to each client’s unique needs, helping them build coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and navigate transitions or difficult experiences. My goal is to empower clients to gain insight, develop resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
I will like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a licensed mental health therapist. I want to tell you a little about myself and my fieldwork experiences. I worked in this field for several years, along with various training, to assist clients in different areas. In the last several years, I worked in a mental health hospital with adolescents, substance abuse, and crisis intervention in various settings. People with trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia were some of the people I helped at work. I worked with individuals on career choices to increase their career paths to maximize success. I support individuals in their desire to become independent, and I do this by helping them identify their true potential.
I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker and I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy with 9 years of professional work experience. I attended Saint Leo University and gained my Master of Social Work Advanced Clinical Practice degree. I gained most of my experience and knowledge working in the community mental health setting with diverse populations. I have a passion for helping others improve their lives and increase their overall well-being.
I started my career working with children and adolescents and then expanded to adult mental health and substance use disorders. I have held many positions in my career which has allowed for career growth. I started as a front-line provider and then proceeded to become a team lead, program director, and vice president tile while working at a large community mental health agency. The experience I have gained throughout my career has equipped me with the needed tools to assist individuals and families in progressive healing.
