I'll skip the buzz words and get to the point. If you've been holding it together with caffeine, sarcasm, and sheer willpower, you're not alone...and you don't have to keep doing it that way. I'm Dr. Patrick Hanson, DSW, LCSW, and I help children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigate anxiety, burnout, Trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the lasting effects of difficult experiences. My approach is genuine, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Together, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck, build practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and challenged in a way that promotes growth. Some sessions may include laughter, others may be emotional, but every session is focused on helping you better understand yourself and move toward the life you want to live. Hello, I'm Amber, a dedicated and compassionate trauma-informed therapist committed to providing a safe and empathetic space for individuals on their healing journey. With a background in psychology and extensive training, I bring a holistic approach that integrates psychodynamic, person-centered, mind-body approach and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to support clients in their path to recovery. Incorporating a mind-body approach in therapy involves recognizing and addressing the interconnectedness of mental and physical health. This approach may include techniques such as mindfulness, deep breathing, or progressive muscle relaxation to help clients become more aware of how their thoughts and emotions influence their physical sensations. By integrating practices that focus on bodily awareness and self-regulation, therapists can help clients manage stress, reduce anxiety, and improve overall well-being. My psychodynamic orientation allows me to help clients delve into the unconscious aspects of their psyche, understanding how past experiences shape current thoughts and behaviors. Through this exploration, we work together to identify patterns, gain insight into unresolved conflicts, and promote long-term personal growth. In addition to the psychodynamic approach, I integrate person-centered therapy principles, emphasizing the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I believe in the inherent goodness and resilience of individuals and strive to create a space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to navigate their unique healing process. Furthermore, my practice incorporates elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), focusing on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors. This approach allows us to develop practical strategies for coping with the impact of trauma, fostering resilience and promoting positive change. With a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about the latest advancements in trauma treatment, I am dedicated to providing evidence-based and client-centered care. I am here to support you on your journey towards healing, personal empowerment, and a more fulfilling life.

I have over 45 years of experience as a practicing psychologist. My orientation is a strength based, solution focused cognitive behavioral therapy approach. Following a thorough assessment, my goal in our initial work together. is to identify in partnership with you an in-depth understanding of the issues that lead you to contact me. and to gain an understanding of how you have attempted to resolve these issues to date. In addition, we will ascertain what you see as your applicable strengths and abilities in prior comparable life situations. By the end of session one, our goal is to be able to agree on what solutions will look like for the issues that have led you to seek therapy. and to have a game plan as to how we will initially proceed. While I have worked with a wide range of clients over the years, the vast majority have had success in the various key areas (relationism, employment, family, peers, etc.) and they are now dealing with issues/problems / a crossroads, etc. where they are looking for some assistance as they navigate these current challenges

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist residing in Central Florida. I am licensed in the states of Florida and Nevada. I have been working in the field since 2009. I graduated from UNLV in Las Vegas, NV with a Bachelor's in Psychology and then from Chapman University in Orange, CA with a Master's in Psychology, having a Marriage & Family Therapy emphasis. I have specific experience working with individuals dealing with the effects of PTSD. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Mindfulness Informed Professional (CMIP). I treat individual clients as well as couples. I'm not afraid to stand beside those who are dealing with the effects of trauma, and I'm open to helping people work through those feelings. I take a nervous system deactivation approach to trauma work that is intuitive and effective along with addressing the cognitive side of trauma and using mindfulness techniques. I am willing and able to help anyone regardless of ethnicity or gender identity. That said, I do have a special interest in the needs and struggles of black people (particularly black women) in our country. I believe that my role is to be completely present during the therapeutic process, serving as a guide and facilitator for my clients. I strive to create the safest space possible for people to express and process their feelings while learning how to better cope with stress and anxiety. I want to instill hope and remind my clients that, no matter how hard life gets, they aren't alone and there will always be something to work toward and a brighter future to seek.

Do you feel overwhelmed these days? Are you constantly trying to strike a balance between the demands of work and parenting or co-parenting, while also managing your health, housework, and perhaps other demands? In your family, does the caretaking always fall to you? Are you experiencing depression and anxiety in reaction to either a past trauma and/or burnout from stress? I work with women who are experiencing what I like to call "multiple-role fatigue". I have experience in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma-related stress disorders common to women who face an ever-mounting load of responsibilities in a complex society, where being a mother or a caretaker often comes with diverse challenges and responsibilities. I also like to work with clients on their recovery from trauma. With this in mind, I incorporate various treatment modalities, where healing and recovery can take place through a combination of compassionate conversation, active listening, homework assignments journaling, mindfulness, self-reflection, cognitive behavior therapy, grief counseling, boundary setting and trauma-informed care. I also offer a faith-based support, where clients seeking a Christian approach are welcome. I like to form a supportive alliance with caregivers to help them navigate the demands of parenting a child or children with higher needs. I focus on parental needs, and I work with clients using evidence-based techniques to empower them to achieve balance and experience lasting well-being. For parents, I'm a big advocate of self-care, and I help my clients learn to nurture themselves in a sustainable way to avoid burnout. I also believe that parents need to feel seen and heard, and the stress of parenting cannot be overemphasized. Forming a partnership with parents, giving them a forum in which they feel consistently supported in a compassionate and non-judgmental way, therefore, is one of my top priorities as a therapist.

THERAPY FOR WOMEN IN MIDLIFE — INCLUDING THERAPISTS You're the one others rely on — at work and at home. You show up for everyone. You keep everything running — managing your career and your household, and often growing kids and aging parents at the same time. Somewhere along the way, you stopped making it onto your own list. It's all becoming too heavy — now you're starting to feel it, emotionally and physically. Therapy at Seaside is a space to pause, reflect, and start to feel like yourself again. HI, I'M GAIL — THERAPIST & OWNER OF SEASIDE MENTAL WELLNESS. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with nearly 30 years in the field, much of it spent inside the healthcare system, supporting women through some of the most significant moments of their lives. IN MIDLIFE, IT'S RARELY JUST ONE THING. The anxiety that increases in your late 30s. The moment in your 40s when you catch yourself thinking, "I don't feel like myself anymore". A marriage, a career, even your body — things that stop fitting in your 50s. These chapters are part of the same story. The anxiety, the burnout, the transitions, the emotional side of perimenopause tend to arrive at once, overlapping one another. We can untangle this together. SEASIDE IS RECOGNIZED LOCALLY AND TRUSTED STATEWIDE: SRQ Magazine's 2026 Platinum Winner (Best Local Mental Health Service) and 2025 Silver Winner (Best Local Therapist) , plus Guide to Florida's 2026 (Best Individual Therapist) and 2025 Regional Winner (Best Therapy Practice). SEASIDE IS BASED IN LAKEWOOD RANCH, serving women in Bradenton and Sarasota — and across the Gulf Coast, from Tampa to Naples. All sessions are online, so support fits your life, without the traffic, the waiting room, or the time off work.

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, stuck, or unsure of how to cope with ongoing stress, relationship struggles, or self-doubt. They’re often caring and capable people who appear to have it together on the outside but feel overwhelmed or disconnected on the inside. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore what’s getting in the way of feeling your best. Together, we’ll work on building coping tools, improving self-esteem, and creating more balanced, authentic relationships. I take a collaborative approach—one that combines compassion with practical strategies—to help you better understand your emotions, break unhelpful patterns, and make lasting change. Therapy with me often involves strengthening emotional awareness, identifying core beliefs, and learning new ways to respond to challenges. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or simply feeling “not enough,” our work focuses on helping you reconnect with your sense of worth and agency. Relationships are a central part of healing, both with others and with yourself. In our sessions, we’ll explore communication, boundaries, and self-trust, helping you develop skills that support healthier, more fulfilling connections. I also integrate mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral strategies to help you stay present, manage stress, and build resilience. Ultimately, I believe therapy is a process of self-discovery—one that helps you move from surviving to truly living. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling understood, empowered, and equipped with the tools you need to navigate life with greater confidence and clarity.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults and mature teens navigating stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, burnout, and major life transitions. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable individuals who appear to be functioning well on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, or unsure why life no longer feels like theirs. My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded. Therapy is a space to slow down, think more clearly, and better understand the patterns driving stress, overthinking, emotional disconnection, and relationship struggles. Together, we work toward meaningful changes that feel sustainable in everyday life. I use structured, evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness-based strategies, and attachment-focused work to help clients respond more effectively to stress, relationships, and internal pressure. Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 20 years in leadership and project-based roles across multiple industries and cultures, including over a decade working throughout Latin America. I speak Spanish fluently, and that experience continues to shape how I connect with clients navigating pressure, responsibility, identity shifts, and relationship stress. My goal is to help you feel more steady, self-aware, confident, and connected in your everyday life and relationships.

I’m a licensed mental health counselor and licensed marriage and family therapist based in Miami, Florida, with over 8 years of experience supporting individuals and couples through life’s emotional challenges. I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, relationship issues, life transitions, and depression, and I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and supported. My style is collaborative, grounded, and compassionate. I believe therapy should be a safe place to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface and to begin shifting patterns that no longer serve you. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of what you need, we’ll work together to help you feel more in control, more empowered, and more connected to yourself and the people you care about. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with other evidence-based approaches to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact. That means we might gently challenge self-critical thinking, find new ways to manage anxiety or stress, or work on setting healthy boundaries in relationships. I also draw from systems theory in my work with couples and families, helping clients recognize how past dynamics may be influencing present struggles and how to build new, healthier ways of relating. My clients often tell me they feel a sense of relief just being able to speak openly, without pressure to have all the answers. I believe therapy is not about fixing you because you're not broken. It’s about giving you the space and tools to care for yourself in a deeper way. If you’re ready to begin this process, I’m here to walk alongside you.
