Do you find yourself buying every self-help book but still feeling stuck? Maybe you're the "therapist friend" who has it all figured out for others but can't seem to make progress yourself? Or perhaps you're tired of being told "you're so self-aware" while still repeating the same patterns? And what about that family trauma your family swears never happened? Yeah, it's still showing up in your life today. I get it. Hey! I'm Dr. Ré (Ray), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Financial Social Worker (CFSW) and holistic therapist based in Dallas, TX. I help self-aware Gen Z and Millennials get unstuck, break generational patterns, and figure out this thing called adulting through therapy that goes beyond just talking about it. I blend evidence-based practices with mind-body approaches to create real, lasting change and healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Together, we'll have a real conversation about what brings you here and what you hope to achieve. I'll get to know you – not just your symptoms or challenges, but your whole story. We'll explore your goals and create a personalized plan that fits your unique needs, using a combination of traditional therapy techniques and holistic practices that address your mind, body, and soul.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I'm the opposite of a blank-slate therapist. Instead of just nodding along, I actively engage and collaborate with you to create those changes you wish to see. My strength lies in blending CBT, DBT, and EMDR with somatic practices like breathwork, meditation, sound healing and more, using holistic approach. I also pride myself in keeping things real and relatable. I understand the unique challenges Gen Z and Millennials face because I live them too. Plus, my background in financial social work means I can help you navigate the practical aspects of adulting while working on deeper healing.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am passionate about working with Gen Z and Millennial clients who are highly self-aware but feeling stuck. My clients often find themselves overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or trauma, while juggling the stressors of adulting and trying to break unhealthy generational patterns. Whether you're doom-scrolling at 3AM, intellectualizing your healing journey, or tired of family dynamics that everyone pretends don't exist, I create a space where you can move beyond just understanding to actual transformation.

My treatment methods

EMDR

Do you feel stuck replaying the same memories or patterns? EMDR isn't your typical "let's just talk about it" therapy. As an EMDR-trained therapist, I use this powerful approach to help your brain actually process and heal from difficult experiences, not just understand them. Through specific techniques like eye movements or tapping, we help your brain file away distressing memories properly - kind of like defragmenting a computer. The result? Those memories lose their emotional charge, making room for new, healthier patterns to emerge.

Trauma Informed Care

Let's be real - trauma isn't just about the "big" events that everyone recognizes. Sometimes it's the subtle patterns, the family dynamics everyone pretends don't exist, or the chronic stress that's been normalized. Using a trauma-informed approach means we create a safe space where all of your experiences are valid. We move at your pace, using a combination of traditional and holistic techniques to help you reconnect with yourself, regulate your emotions, and build the life you deserve. No pushing, no rushing - just steady, sustainable healing.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Ever feel like your emotions are running the show? DBT is like a toolkit for emotional mastery and better relationships. Together, we'll work on four key areas: mindfulness (staying present instead of time-traveling to worst-case scenarios), distress tolerance (because life gets messy), emotion regulation (understanding and managing those big feelings), and interpersonal effectiveness (communicating and resolving conflict without the guilt). Whether you're dealing with overwhelming emotions, relationship challenges, or trying to break unhealthy patterns, DBT provides practical skills you can use in real life - not just in session.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our thoughts can be like a social media feed of hot takes about ourselves and the world - and not always the helpful kind. CBT helps you recognize and challenge those automatic thought patterns that keep you stuck in anxiety, depression, or low self-worth. But we don't just talk about changing your thoughts - we actually practice new ways of thinking and behaving.

Mind-body approach

Do you ever notice how stress shows up in your body - the tight shoulders, the upset stomach, the racing heart? That's because trauma and emotions aren't just "in your head"- they're stored in your body too. That's why I integrate practices like meditation, chair yoga, breathwork, and more, into our sessions. These are evidence-based tools for releasing stored tension, regulating your nervous system, and reconnecting with yourself. These practices are adaptable to your comfort level and what feels right for your body. By addressing both mind and body, we create deeper, more lasting healing. And don't worry- if this is not your type of therapy, we will only do what you feel comfortable with.
