Clinically, I have years of experience working with individuals struggling with spectrum disorders, obsessive behaviors, struggling with anxiety and depression. My modalities of treatment include: CBT, DBT, Solution Focused, Narrative and Client-Centered therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings including community-based treatment, addiction treatment that includes co-occurring disorders, and years of experience working in a trauma setting to support clients experiencing PTSD and other traumas. I have extensive training in EMDR and has experienced tremendous outcomes with this modality. I'm available locally for in person counselling and tele therapy. I entered the field of social work 10+ years ago to advocate for and assist others in finding their voice. I quickly learned I was able to use my skills to help clients overcome obstacles and navigate broken systems. Over the course of my career, the need to address mental health disparities became apparent, as did the lack of available providers to do so. I became a licensed therapist to help clients live a life free of shame, one that is authentic without needing anyone else’s approval.

My experience has centered around assisting adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, difficulty adjusting and adapting to the changes they are experiencing in life, grief and trauma. The philosophical foundation of my therapy is based on the understanding that what we think influences how we feel which impacts how we behave. Therefore, to change any behavior or feeling we first need to address our thinking. My goal in the counseling process is to assist you in improving the quality of your life by guiding you in how to manage, resolve, and/or reconcile those issues in your life creating difficulty for you.
