Therapy is the safest of environments to bring up topics that have brought about great pain or arrest in one’s life. My hope for you is that therapy becomes a useful tool to transform your life into how you envision it to be. Life is too short not to be lived out to its fullest potential. By working with you, I hope to collaborate in a transformation process where life goals come to fruition. As your therapist, I am your advocate and will support you in all areas where challenges, obstacles and barriers are encountered. I hope this message finds you well and instills a sense of hope that anything, if one’s mind is put to it, is possible to change for the better.

I like to use humor and make clients smile. I believe it is important to focus on strengths and will provide suggestions/assign homework.

Hello! I’m Danielle. I am from Massachusetts where I completed my undergraduate (Criminal Justice & Psychology) and graduate (social work) studies. During undergrad, I volunteered with a program that help inmates with serious mental health disorder re-enter to the community. I was told the most efficient way to engage in that type of work was to go to a MSW program, so I did. During my graduate program, I heavily explored crisis intervention/assessments. Since then I have worked at a variety of places, including therapy, case management, prisons, and emergency response.
As someone who has been in and out of therapy since I was young, I never wanted to be administering therapy. I thought being a therapist would be boring and I didn’t really understand it. However, as I’ve explored what therapy should be- treating someone using an evidenced-based practice- I enjoy administering mental health treatment, using a scientific approach.
My goal is to help you gain relief from symptoms, maintain or enhance daily functioning, and improve quality of life. Ultimately, I want you to gain a sense of independence and confidence in your ability to navigate life’s challenges, using the tools and insights you’ve developed in therapy.
While I am new to Grow Therapy, I have been practicing in various schools settings as a counselor for over a decade: supporting students and parents navigate, life, learning and loss of all types. Whether you or your child experience neurodivergence (such as ADHD, anxiety, autism, emotionality, sensory sensitivities, demand avoidance, etc.) or are struggling with social , work, relationship or routine daily demands, I am here to support you.
I also support women going through relationship struggles, whether it's from co-parenting, infidelity, perimenopause, caregiving burnout, etc. Over the years, I found myself working more and more with moms who are carrying it all, doing all that they can, and finding themselves barely hanging on. You may be feeling, overwhelm, confusion, guilt, shame, exhaustion and even anger. If so, I am here to help you navigate through these difficult feelings.
I tailor each session to meet the client's individual needs, personality, and strengths. Together, we'll build on your resilience, intuition, and inner resources while creating opportunities for growth, healing, and self-empowerment. Outside of work, I enjoy various forms of exercise: HIIT workouts, yoga, nutrition topics, science, music , gardening, and traveling. I have an avid interest in learning about other cultures and have lived and studied abroad in Ecuador, South America.
I am passionate about the impact of spirituality in mental health therapy. As an attachment informed humanist LPCC, I consider the bio-psycho-social-spiritual/existential condition of the folks with whom I work. Healing is a matter of integrating the disparate and fragmented parts of life. Empathy, acceptance, positive regard, and genuineness are crucial elements for effective therapy and these are the characteristics I seek to cultivate in my practice. As far as a specific toolkit, CBT and Motivational Interviewing are the primary evidence based methodologies I employ to be with people in their self-paced, goal oriented healing efforts. Those who want to examine the angst, anxiety, disquiet, and friction in their lives will find a fellow traveler in me.
