I am a spiritual, animal-loving practitioner dedicated to healing with integrity, authenticity, kindness, and warmth. Specializing in trauma, my journey began in substance abuse counseling, where I developed a deep understanding of addiction. As someone in recovery myself, I bring empathy and compassion to those navigating their own struggles. I have worked with clients ages 5 to 76 across diverse settings, including equine therapy, foster care, inpatient and residential treatment, PHP, incarceration settings, VA settings, and services supporting survivors of human trafficking, sexual abuse, and domestic violence. I have also volunteered my time advocating for men and women through the court system.

The greatest casualty of trauma is the loss of the emotional, and sometimes physical, safety required to be vulnerable. — Brené Brown

My approach integrates a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, IPT, inner child work, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, EMDR, and somatic therapies. I believe healing is deeply personal and nonlinear, and I strive to meet each client where they are with compassion, authenticity, and respect for their unique journey

First session

My communication style is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I strive to create a trauma-informed, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. I prioritize trust, transparency, and emotional safety while honoring your unique needs, pace, and goals for healing. My approach is rooted in meeting you where you are. Our first sessions are simply conversations—a chance for me to get to know you, understand your story, and learn what brings you to therapy. There is no pressure to share everything at once. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects your needs and goals. I integrate evidence-based therapies, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), along with somatic approaches to support healing of both the mind and body. My goal is to help you process difficult experiences, build resilience, discover new coping tools, and reconnect with yourself. I believe healing is not linear, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you. You do not have to navigate your healing journey alone.

Strengths

I bring authenticity, empathy, warmth, and a deep understanding of trauma and the resilience it takes to move beyond survival mode. My personal experiences with generational trauma and recovery allow me to meet clients without judgment and with genuine compassion. I integrate a wide range of therapeutic modalities, tailoring each session to the individual’s unique needs and experiences. I value the mind-body connection, honor that healing is not linear, and create a space where clients feel safe, seen, heard, and accepted. My goal is to empower each person to reconnect with themselves, recognize their strengths, and move toward healing at their own pace.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are individuals who are open to exploring themselves on a deeper level, discovering hidden truths, and understanding how past experiences and trauma may be impacting their present lives. I enjoy working with spiritual individuals, animal lovers, and those ready to develop new coping tools, build resilience, and move beyond survival mode. My approach blends evidence-based, science-informed modalities with somatic practices to support healing of both the mind and body. I welcome clients who are willing to explore their emotions, challenge old patterns, and approach their healing journey with curiosity and authenticity. I also love working with children, using play therapy, art therapy, and interactive, fun approaches to help them express themselves, build emotional awareness, and develop healthy coping skills in a safe, supportive environment. Above all, my ideal clients are those seeking a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where they can show up as they are and move toward healing at their own pace.

Treatment methods

EMDR

I am trained in EMDR and Master Certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a trauma-focused modality that is an integral part of my practice. ART can help clients process distressing experiences and work through challenges related to trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, nightmares, and other concerns. I also incorporate inner-child work to help clients identify and understand early emotional wounds, recognize patterns and coping strategies developed throughout childhood, and explore how these experiences may affect their present lives. Together, we work on developing healthier coping tools, strengthening self-compassion, and learning how their adult selves can show up for and nurture the parts of them that still need healing. My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic modalities with compassion and curiosity, meeting each client where they are and honoring their unique healing journey.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my practice to help clients develop practical skills for navigating intense emotions, managing distress, and building healthier relationships. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, meeting each client where they are while helping them recognize patterns and develop more effective ways of responding to life's challenges. Together, we explore skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I help clients identify emotional triggers, increase self-awareness, strengthen boundaries, and practice coping tools they can use in everyday life. I also incorporate somatic awareness to help clients recognize how emotions and stress show up in the body. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can build resilience, balance acceptance with change, and develop greater confidence in their ability to navigate difficult experiences. I tailor DBT skills to each client's individual needs and goals, recognizing that healing is not linear and that meaningful change happens one step at a time.

Attachment-based

I incorporate attachment-based approaches to help clients understand how early relationships, childhood experiences, and generational patterns may influence their current relationships, emotional responses, and sense of self. I strive to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, heard, and accepted. I believe that healing begins with connection and that developing a secure therapeutic relationship can help clients explore difficult experiences at their own pace. Together, we explore attachment patterns, relationship dynamics, boundaries, and unmet emotional needs. I often integrate inner-child work to help clients identify early wounds, understand the coping strategies they developed to survive, and learn how their adult selves can provide the safety, validation, and nurturing they may have missed. I also incorporate somatic approaches to help clients recognize how attachment experiences and emotional stress may be held in the body. My goal is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, build healthier relationships, strengthen emotional regulation, and cultivate a more secure connection with themselves and others. I approach this work with compassion, curiosity, and an understanding that healing is not linear. Together, we work toward creating new relational experiences that support trust, connection, and lasting change.

Integrative

I integrate somatic therapies, breathwork, energy work and spiritual healing, shadow work, and parts work to support clients in developing a deeper connection with themselves, their bodies, and their emotional experiences. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and individualized, recognizing that healing involves more than understanding our experiences intellectually. Through somatic approaches and breathwork, I help clients increase body awareness, recognize stress responses, and explore grounding and regulation techniques that support a greater sense of safety. I incorporate parts work and inner-child work to help clients understand the different parts of themselves, including protective patterns and younger wounded parts that may have developed in response to difficult experiences. Shadow work offers opportunities to explore emotions, beliefs, and aspects of ourselves that may have been hidden, rejected, or misunderstood. When aligned with a client's beliefs and preferences, I may also incorporate energy work and spiritual healing as complementary practices to support reflection, connection, and personal growth. I prioritize consent, emotional safety, and each client's readiness throughout this process. My goal is to help clients approach themselves with curiosity rather than judgment, develop healthier coping tools, and build a more compassionate relationship with themselves. I meet each client where they are, honoring their individual beliefs, experiences, and pace while supporting a healing journey that integrates mind, body, and spirit.
