My name is Alex Wong, PsyD. I am a licensed psychologist in the state of California. As a therapist, I'm focused primarily on helping patients explore meaning in their lives so that they can stop auto-piloting, transform traumas, establish better relationships and lead happier lives.
I’m a Southern-California native. Specifically, I’m Chinese-American, part of the Teo Chew community. Culturally, I’m Chinese-Vietnamese. My father is from Vietnam, a member of the Chinese diaspora that came to the USA as a refugee during wartime. My mother is from Shantou, China. I speak English, Teo Chew, Mandarin and Cantonese, my weakest language being Cantonese.
My knowledge areas include depression, anxiety, serious mental illness, facility-based inpatient services, lgbtq issues, grief and loss and life transition issues. I’ve worked with patients experiencing these issues, attended trainings on these topics, facilitated related groups, but there is always more to learn. I work on a sliding scale, so we can have a conversation about my fee at the point of contact.
I have been a drug and alcohol counselor since 1995 and a mental health therapist primarily working with adult individuals since 2008. I consider my practice to be eclectic and have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Dialectical Behavior Therapy; Cognitive Processing Therapy; and Motivational Interviewing, to name a few. In addition, I have specialized training in trauma/PTSD; addictions; ADHD; LGBTIQ; military; grief and loss; depression and anxiety.
I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who believes meaningful change happens when you feel safe, heard, and understood. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can show up as you are—without judgment. Whether you’re feeling anxious, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or disconnected in your relationship, we’ll work together to better understand what’s happening and how to move forward.
I take a collaborative and practical approach to therapy. That means we don’t just talk about challenges—we explore tools and strategies you can use in your everyday life. I blend evidence-based techniques with a strong focus on relationships and emotional awareness. Together, we’ll look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck and build healthier ways of coping, communicating, and connecting.
I work with individuals and couples who want to reduce anxiety, improve communication, and create more fulfilling relationships. My aim is to help you feel more confident, grounded, and capable—both in and outside of session.

I work with people experiencing conflict between traditional values and new cultural identities. I focus on understanding each person within their family, community, and lived experience, integrating strengths, language, and beliefs to support healing and growth in a holistic way.
I have been in the psychology field for over 20 years now. I love what I do and helping every client become successful. The relationship between the client(s) and myself is important in achieving the goals we set together. How our past experiences have influenced our current lives is a key issue. I feel that support systems in our daily lives are important to examine. The issues of separation, loss, freedom, dependence and independence are crucial to examine as one leaves home and parental influences. I work with individuals, couples, teens and families.
Every session is different because every client is different, as are their problems. I'll encourage you to talk and explore, in a structured way, your feelings and experiences. Whatever the technique or clinical approach, psychotherapy is not a magical cure, it is a process to help you find the capacity for improvement within yourself.
Psychotherapy aims to help you gain insight into your difficulties or distress and enable you to find more appropriate ways of coping or bring about changes in your thinking and behavior. Psychotherapy involves exploring feelings, beliefs, thoughts and events, sometimes from childhood, in a structured way to help you do it safely.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Pasadena, passionate about helping people move past the patterns that make them feel "stuck."
As an Asian American therapist, I understand the unique pressures of navigating cultural expectations, family dynamics, and the pursuit of success. Life often feels like a constant cycle of trying to keep up—with professional demands, relationships, or heavy expectations. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to "perform" or have all the answers. Instead, we can slow down and really look at what’s happening beneath the surface of your life.
I work with introspective individuals ready for deeper change. Many of my clients are high-achievers who have "made it" on the outside, but internally battle feelings of shame, people-pleasing, or boundary struggles. Whether you’re processing complex family history, navigating identity challenges, or feeling burnt out, I’m here to walk alongside you.
My approach blends two core principles: understanding your history and listening to your body. I use an intersubjective approach, which means we work together—using our relationship as a window into how you connect with the world. I also integrate the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) to help you get more comfortable in your own skin. This is about more than just insight; it’s about learning to calm your nervous system so you can navigate life without feeling constantly on edge.
Ultimately, I want to help you move toward a life that feels authentically yours. By bringing hidden patterns into the light, we can reclaim your stability and freedom. You don’t have to carry the weight of the past alone.

Hello, my name is Megan. I appreciate you taking the leap to want to do something different in your life. I know how hard talking about some of these big life issues can be like the death of our person, living through the struggle of infertility and acknowledging the weight of our anxiety is too much. Sometimes, we are stuck in our loop and yet, we do not have the perspective how to shift the big feelings to make you start to feel better.
In the beginning of working together, I want you to feel comfortable sharing your story. Everyone arrives wanting a witness to their grieving at different stages of their process. Your relationship is to different each person had a different relationship to their person. I believe the importance of listening to what is said in the room or what is not said. Many times we are not able to verbalize our pain of trying to live without our person. I think a very necessary part to our healing is to be witnessed by another. My goal is to always create safety in the room. I am a fairly transparent therapist sharing sometimes my personal journey to connect and help clients realize they are not alone in their pain.
I look forward to joining you in your healing journey.
