Hi, I'm Casandra, and I'm glad you are here! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with a master's degree from the University of Southern California. I decided to become a therapist because I love being able to help others. One of my favorite things is getting to know others and helping them to discover (or re-discover) who they are. Getting to help others realize their potential and overall improve their mental and emotional well-being is something I enjoy doing and consider it such a privilege.
My values as a therapist include openness, non-judgment, empathy, cultural humility, strength based, and unconditional positive regard. My approach is integrative and centers the needs of my clients; I utilize active interventions involving cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution focused-therapy, motivational interviewing, grief and loss, to name a few. I aspire to cultivate a trusting, safe and empowering space for the people I serve. I place a lot of emphasis on building a therapeutic relationship with patients that allows for authentic self-expression.
I’m a licensed therapist with extensive experience supporting individuals navigating substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. I understand that many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, even when they’ve tried to manage on their own.
In my work, I prioritize creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel genuinely seen and understood. I use evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches while tailoring therapy to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. My aim is not just to help you cope, but to support you in building insight, resilience, and a more grounded, fulfilling sense of stability in your life.
"Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn't you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are."

Hello!
I am Lauresha Hawkins, LCSW, MSW, MPH. I am the CE0 and Founder of Mental Wellness University, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Inc., which is located in California. I am licensed in the state of California and Alaska. I am independently contracted with Grow Therapy.
With trust and rapport as the foundation of our therapeutic alliance, my approach is eclectic in style and based on meeting the unique needs of who I serve. Possessing a passion for serving and inspiring people from all walks of life, I have experience working with individuals who have challenges with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, substance abuse, and perinatal mental health disorders.
With fifteen years of experience in the field of social work, I have dedicated eight of those years to providing mental health services as an associate and licensed mental health professional in various settings, including residential therapeutic treatment facilities, outpatient clinics, and hospitals. Currently, I hold a three-year license. My passion lies in serving youth, Transitional Age Youth (TAY), adults, and mature adults, particularly those who are vulnerable and at risk, such as the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals with dual diagnoses.
Hello and welcome! I’m glad you are here.
A little bit about myself, I have been working in the mental health field for over 15 years, and it has been a meaningful journey. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, with a focus on Mental Health. I gained an understanding of the importance of accessible and compassionate care.
As I gained experience, I developed an interest in family systems and decided to further my education by pursing a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, families, and children, providing both individual therapy and group facilitation.
In 2020, I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Through this journey, I have had experiences that allowed me to better understand the broader systems that impact people’s lives and to focus on finding collaborative, strength-based solutions that support real, lasting change.
I'm a CA and OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life transitions, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, and substance use concerns. I bring both deep clinical experience and a very human understanding of how hard it can be to ask for help.
My approach is collaborative, honest, and practical. I use evidence-based modalities such as DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and systems-based work, always tailored to your goals and lived experience. Therapy with me is about gaining insight, building skills, and creating real, sustainable change.
Clients often tell me they leave sessions feeling more grounded, more confident in their choices, and better equipped to handle emotions and relationships with clarity and self-trust. My goal is to help you feel less overwhelmed, more connected, and more aligned with the life you want to build.
I have 47 years of experience, specializing, working with complex issues. I am "California beach informal", have a calm demeanor, communicate directly and transparently, but with tact. My goals are. to ensure safety, and assist you to develop skills and insights to approach your identified areas of need, during and after therapy, with the best possible outcomes. I seek to provide the skills and support to manage immediate issues, but also techniques to enable you to become more independent moving forward. I retired from administering large behavioral health programs in November 2015. I have specialized knowledge to support you dealing with complex systems. I listen attentively, support you, and at times, educate you in accessing supportive resources, you may not have known are available or that you qualify for. The goals is to develop a holistic and realistic plan for your recovery and future wellness.
I accept more complex cases, but stay within my areas of competency. These do not include primary chemical dependency treatment, LGBTQI+ issues, or eating disorders. I do not work with PC 290 registrants, those in court ordered treatment, workmen's compensation cases, or any others involving the legal system. I only do individual therapy- no couples or groups. I will complete FMLA/CAFRA paperwork for your employer and/or short-term disability forms once we have met long enough for me to have a sense of your limitations, typically 8-10 sessions. I likewise will assist with SSI/SSDI applications, where clinically justified.
I am known to my friends as honest, straightforward, energetic, loyal, reliable, empathetic, socially conscious, and more on the soft-spoken side. I am not doctrinaire, reckless, ill mannered, or distant. I am patient with a great deal of fortitude and commitment to your wellness.

Hello! My name is Natasha and I have had the pleasure of helping people with life transitions for 30 years. I am passionate about helping people through the trials and tribulations of life and helping them find the strengths that are often already within. I use a systems based approach, considering all factors that may be impacting a person in crisis - whether that be individual, family, peers, community, work, school, gender, substance use, culture, or social media influences - to help them find a more fulfilling way to live.
My therapy style is eclectic borrowing from many different schools of thought as best fits my clients' needs. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques for a shorter, solution-focused treatment such as for anxiety or depression. I use a more psychodynamic approach for lengthier and more complex issues such as trauma. I am client-centered and very relational in my interactions.
Some of my guiding principles include Unconditional Positive Regard, harm reduction, kindness and compassion above all. And of course, always a healthy dose of humor which can be found in even the darkest of times.
I look forward to joining you on your journey to a healthier and happier self.

Hello! I’m Brenda De Monge, a passionate Marriage and Family Therapist with over 21 years of experience in community mental health. Helping and supporting youth, parents, & individuals from various cultures & socio-economic backgrounds affected by trauma. When working with trauma, sexual, physical, emotional, and domestic violence, my number one priority is safety & meeting my clients where they are, by supporting them & reaching their goals. I use these treatment methods:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In my practice, I have used CBT to help clients challenge recurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. CBT is effective in understanding how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact with one another. We can implement this in therapy to help you live a less anxious and stressful life.
• Trauma-Focused CBT is a short-term therapy designed for children ages 3-18 who have experienced various types of traumas, including physical, emotional, & sexual abuse. When working with young children, the parents/caregivers are key, as they provide ongoing support. By attending sessions, parents will gain a deeper understanding of the root causes of the issues. Over the past 20 years, I have worked with families using this model, & it has been helpful to them.
• Seeking Safety is a treatment approach I have used with clients for more than 15 years. It assists individuals dealing with trauma & addiction by emphasizing safety and coping skills.
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) has proven to be a helpful approach in easing obsessive thoughts, reducing intrusive memories, & empowering clients to stay calm while learning ways to handle future challenges and symptoms. Since 2019, I’ve supported children, teens, & adults in managing their post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, & panic disorder through EMDR. In addition, I’ve helped clients with war-related trauma & child sexual assault.
As a therapist, I am committed to helping you have healthier, more balanced, harmonious lives and relationships. My therapy approach includes traditional and holistic healing techniques that involve mind, body, heart and spirit as well as things unseen.
My years of experience in community mental health include individual, child, couples, co-parenting and family therapy. I am able to relate well to many different cultural, ethnic, socio-economic groups. With an M.A. in transpersonal psychology and an M.B.A. from University of Chicago plus 25 years of corporate experience, I use a broad range of skills to help my clients explore their needs and goals. As a certified yoga and meditation teacher, many of my clients have learned mindfulness techniques that enhance their recovery.
All of us need confidential support for different things at times. My job is to compassionately support you in what you need, with your values, to have the life that you want.
Welcome! My name is Tamer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked for nearly 10 years in different capacities such as refugee resettlement, disability rights, substance use recovery, community health, and LGBTQIA+ centered care. I am most excited about creative self-expression, and I believe in person-centered approaches to understand the powerful role that stories play in shaping our everyday lives. I also find tremendous value in working together to deconstruct how these stories show up in the context of anxiety, stress, depression, and trauma.
Seeking therapy is one of the most courageous steps you can take for yourself. Whether you want to heal past wounds, resolve conflict in your relationships, or better manage the stressors of life, therapy is the space where your goals and values are prioritized. It is where you can feel safe to be vulnerable and open. Because there is no singular way to engage in treatment, therapy does not conform to strict constructs, norms, or stereotypes. Rather, therapy is meant to reflect your authentic self and promote the innate power you hold. The right therapist should honor the nuances of your life’s journey, while also helping explore the path forward that you want to lead.
Every person lives within multiple stories, of family, culture, relationships, challenges, and hopes. Therapy can help you discover which stories still serve you and which stories deserve to be rewritten. The next chapter does not need to be written alone. I look forward to honoring your journey here, and your journey forward. Thank you so much!

After working in the fire service for 14 years and recognizing the need to bridge the gap between public safety and mental health services, I transitioned into the mental health field in 2014 and discovered passion for helping people of various ages and health needs. Therapeutically, I have gravitated towards solution-focused therapy blended with acceptance and commitment therapeutic work, mainly because of the drive I have to maintain hope for others, ingrained in me from my fire service career.
If you are looking for court mandated counseling, seeking letters for emotional support animals, work disability, custody, or other court related services, I do not provide those services, and refer individuals to other providers having those services as their specialties. I am a bilingual-Spanish-speaking, Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years experience in the mental health field. My specialty is focused on individuals over the age of 21 dealing with anxiety, depression, postpartum, grief and loss, life transitions, and women's issues. My training consists of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, Interpersonal Therapy, Crisis Therapy, Motivational Therapy, etc.; however, when providing services to clients, I prefer to utilize a Solution-Focused approach to help clients achieve their mental health goals. I believe that there is not a “one size fits all” approach to therapy and that collaboration and trust with my clients is key to success in therapy. My goal is to help and empower others who are struggling to heal so that they can have a better future and not continue to live in the pain of the past. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching a movie/show, or reading a book.
I identify as queer, fat, femme and have a mixture of indigenous and colonizer DNA. I share this first because the way we identify matters. Many reasons and factors stop us from being ourselves around others and often, when we can't fully live who we are, our mental health suffers. If that's you, I'm here to help. We can work through body image issues, disordered eating, anxiety, depression, trauma, conflict management together if you're willing to do the work of honestly engaging in therapy with me.
I grew up on the East Coast to immigrant parents from Colombia and lived in SoCal for 15 years and recently moved back home to be near my parents. I have a rescued pitbull that brings me lots of peace and joy and you might see him napping behind me via telehealth sessions. I enjoy hiking, cooking, reading (fiction for fun), and taking care of my indoor plants. I love learning about indigenous wisdom/practices from all over the world, herbalism, tarot, and other healing practices and beliefs that folks use to find meaning and wellness. Last but not least, I really love my job! And I do it because I believe in it and have witnessed many people shift, grow, break patterns and learn new ones that significantly improve quality of life.
If you're curious but unsure if I'd be the right fit for you, email me and we can schedule a 15 minute chat (free of charge) where you can get a better idea and ask a few questions to find out if this would be a good option for you. Please keep your email short and only include your interest in scheduling a 15 minute call and 1 or 2 sentences of what you're looking for. My email is: ericaarizalcsw @ gmail.com

Starting your therapeutic journey can bring trepidation but this will be the best decision to foster healing and growth. In our sessions, I will provide a safe place to explore life's challenges and I promise to always use empathy and compassion to give you a level of understanding that you deserve. Let's start this journey together!
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like life isn’t quite yours? I help adults navigate: anxiety, depression, complex ADHD/ADD, generational trauma, perfectionism, codependency, people-pleasing, and interpersonal conflict. I also support people during times of transition or entering a different phase in life that can be difficult to experience.
I take an integrative and personalized approach by blending compassion, humor, and practical strategies to help you regain clarity, confidence, and a life that truly feels like your own. Whether you’re struggling with stress, feeling lost, or ready for meaningful change, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Let’s work together to make life feel a little lighter… and finally stop arguing with your own brain at 2 a.m.
I work towards building trust with clients. My practice focuses on helping those who struggle with managing stress, anxiety, sleep difficulties, and women's issues. People tell me often that i have a calm presence. I do enjoy providing realistic skills, people enjoy practicality and need immediate relief from distress at times. Why wouldn't i teach my clients to find relief from the overwhelming stress.
