Welcome! I am a first-gen, bilingual LMFT (English/Spanish) based in the Los Angeles area. My work is rooted in empowering women who are called to heal generational patterns and traumas. I love working with first-gen Latinas and Xicanas who struggle with setting boundaries, communicating their needs, and experiencing difficult life transitions. I practice through a holistic person-centered lens that integrates ancestral knowledge and culture to assist in the healing of your mind, body, heart and spirit. I offer space for those who want to feel safe, seen, and heard so that you can be your authentic self. I also utilize EMDR therapy to help assist in processing traumatic events that are keeping you stuck. *My practice is focused primarily on treating adults who identify as female as well as being a welcoming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I do not currently treat cisgender heterosexual males, children or adolescents, and court mandated clients.
During our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and making sure I am a good fit for your therapy needs. We will explore what brings you to therapy, family and relationship dynamics, and what you want to get out of therapy. My goal is to collaborate to figure out what works for you on your healing journey.
My biggest strength as a therapist is helping you remember who you are and why you are here. I welcome and honor all of your stories, traditions, beliefs, and culture so you can weave them into your healing journey.
I love working with with first-gen Latinas and Xicanas who are navigating the complexities of breaking generational cycles, healing from trauma, and reclaiming their sense of self.
I've been using person-centered therapy in my practice for the past 8 years. This approach allows you to explore your feelings and thoughts freely, promoting self discovery and personal growth. The focus is on you and your unique experience, empowering you to take an active role in your own healing.
I am a trained EMDR therapist. I help clients reprocess distressing memories, negative emotions and beliefs associated with trauma, ultimately aiming for symptom relief and emotional healing.
