Hi, I’m Andrew and I’m really glad you’re here. I’ve spent the last five years working in the mental health field. After completing my undergraduate degrees and finishing my collegiate and professional sports career, I returned to school and earned my Master of Social Work from Eastern Washington University. I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of life circumstances. My experience includes working with foster youth, providing comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy, supporting clients in detox and rehabilitation settings, responding to community crises, and serving individuals experiencing homelessness within a housing-first model. Grounded in DBT, my approach blends acceptance and change. I work collaboratively with clients to deepen insight, identify patterns, and develop practical, empowering strategies. My goal is to offer clarity, encouragement, and a steady presence as you build the skills and confidence to move toward the life you want.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

A first session is really about getting to know each other and giving you the confidence to step into this space with the challenges you’re hoping to work through. My goal is simple: to understand you. Whether you’re facing a specific issue, navigating ongoing struggles, feeling unsure about yourself, or moving through a life transition (or what feels like constant transitions), we start by grounding ourselves in where you are right now. Together, we explore what would make our time meaningful and what you want your work in therapy to support. This first session sets the foundation for a process that’s collaborative, intentional, and centered on what matters most to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

In our work together, we take an exploratory and insight-oriented approach, creating space to unpack emotions, experiences, and relational dynamics. I blend this with practical, skills-based support so clients leave sessions with tools they can use in their daily lives. The process itself matters, the pace, the unfolding, the relationship we build, and I honor that by keeping our work grounded, intentional, and attuned. My style is warm and flexible. I can be gentle when someone needs safety and steadiness, and direct when clarity or challenge will help them grow. I offer light tasks or reflections between sessions, but the heart of the work happens in the room, moment by moment. At the core of my approach is empowerment. I help clients reconnect with their own agency, understand their patterns with compassion, and build the confidence to create healthier, more fulfilling relationships in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who are navigating the complexities of their relationships whether that’s with partners, family, friends, or coworkers. My clients are often people who want to understand themselves more deeply and improve the way they show up in their connections. They’re curious, reflective, and ready to explore the patterns that keep them feeling stuck.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have nearly two years of experience providing comprehensive DBT treatment and have used DBT as the foundation of my clinical work for the past three and a half years. I rely on DBT skills as a clear, practical framework for addressing a wide range of challenges—whether that’s becoming more mindful and present, improving emotional regulation and distress tolerance, or navigating interpersonal problems more effectively. This approach supports collaborative problem‑solving, helps identify workable strategies, and builds confidence through practicing new skills and strengthening existing ones.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Over the past year, I’ve been integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into my clinical work, expanding my ability to help clients build psychological flexibility and reconnect with what matters most to them. ACT has strengthened my commitment to guiding clients toward values-driven action, even in the presence of difficult thoughts and emotions.
