Hello, my name is Angela Reinhold, LCSW. I graduated with my Master from California State Long Beach (CSULB) and have spent over 10 years assessing and treating individual and psychosocial needs of patients from youth to adults. My goal is to empower each client with the tools needed for a successful and healthy life. In doing so, I start with the fundamentals of rapport building. When clients work with me I set the tone for them to feel heard, supported, and accepted for where they are in their therapeutic process.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your first session with me, you should expect to go over what's driving your desire to receive therapy, what you're looking to achieve from therapy, and what you can expect from me as your therapist. I will begin an initial assessment of you while starting to build rapport. I believe that because this will be your therapy session, you should be the driving force for your sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Receiving therapy puts a person in a very vulnerable state; establishing a strong rapport helps ease worries and fears so the patient can feel comfortable during this vulnerable process. I believe my greatest strength is the nurturing way in which I give others the ability to feel comfortable, supported and heard.

Motivational Interviewing

There comes a time in everyone’s life when you need encouraging words to help you get through the difficult times. Through motivational interviewing I am able to help you find your inner strength.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a great way to help you understand how your thought process drives your behaviors (actions). By understanding how this process can occur in you, you’ll gain insights into how to not only change your mindset but also change your actions.

Gestalt

Gestalt therapy is a holistic approach that is person-centered form. I use this to focus on a your present life challenges and learn how it’s affecting your mental health.

Grief Therapy

Grief is a loss of any form. Grief and bereavement encompass a range of feelings from deep sadness to anger. Through grief therapy I will help you explore the 5 stages of grief and help you process the emotions felt in each of these stages.

Psychodynamic

Ever wonder ‘why’ your thoughts and actions are what they are. Utilizing talk therapy through the Psychodynamic approach we get to the answers why we do what we do, tying past events and subconscious constructs into present behaviors and behavior patterns.

I had therapy in the past but never felt like I can share my true feelings like I do with Angela. Angela makes me feel comfortable enough to be completely open and speak about my insecurities and understands. I feel she not only listen but she can also be very honest with me when I question myself. I feel like Angela has become a part of my sanctuary.
