I have been a licensed therapist for over 20 years. Currently licensed in California and Nevada. I understand that reaching out and starting the therapy process can be a little overwhelming in and of itself, so I strive to set a pace that is comfortable for my client. If you are ready to dive into the deep end, we will go there. If you need some time to ease into the hard work of therapy, we will go at a pace that feels comfortable. I see myself as a guide in the process of therapy and, at times, more of a teacher, sharing strategies and information. My goal as a therapist is to help you develop the resources and strategies to feel confident in your ability to handle life challenges. Sometimes that involves really getting in touch with the way you think and what you believe, or exploring how you are talking to yourself, or it might involve healing childhood wounds. Since each client is unique I use a variety of therapeutic techniques, I incorporate evidenced based strategies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and sometimes complimentary therapies such as Guided Imagery. I tend to be eclectic in my approach because each person is an individual, and there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to resolving life issues.

I'm Danielle Nunes, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I see individual adults throughout the state by telehealth. You lead people, make decisions, and carry responsibility for outcomes that affect other people's livelihoods. That does not stay containedinside the workday. My clients are founders, executives, business owners, physicians, attorneys, and managers who are successful by every outward measure and are carrying more than the people around them realize. They come to me when a hard quarter starts to feel likea verdict on them, when an employee problem sits with them at dinner,or when they know exactly what conversation needs to happen and keep putting it off. I have been licensed since 2017 and have worked in behavioral health for more than a decade. I also spent years leading inside large organizations, responsible for teams, budgets, and outcomes. You will not have to explain why you cannot stop thinking about work.

You've always been the strong one. Right? As a bilingual Asian therapist (English/Mandarin), I currently work as an inpatient mental health clinician at Kaiser Permanente in California, supporting adults through acute mental health crises. Before this, I spent over four years at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Community Psychiatry Program in Baltimore Maryland, where I walked alongside adults through their darkest and brightest chapters — from life’s most overwhelming moments to recovery and the gradual return of joy. Through that experience, I witnessed how someone could radiate warmth for everyone around them while quietly burning out within. I specialize in supporting high-functioning individuals navigating people-pleasing, social anxiety, and interpersonal burnout, whether that shows up as persistent self-doubt, intrusive thoughts that feel impossible to shake, or an overwhelming need to keep others happy at your own expense. You are not alone, and it doesn't have to stay this way. I draw on an integrative approach across CBT, ERP, MI, and EMDR, tailored to who you are, where you have been, and where you want to go, committed to providing a safe and nurturing space for you to explore, heal, and grow. Please note I am only available for therapy appointments on Fridays. Please also note that documentation requests, including FMLA and ESA letters, require a full clinical assessment prior to completion and cannot be guaranteed at intake. In addition, my practice focuses on voluntary, client-initiated therapy. I do NOT provide forensic or court-mandated treatment, including evaluations or treatment ordered as part of legal proceedings. Clients seeking court-ordered services are best served by a provider who specializes in forensic work. My curiosity and thirst for knowledge in this field seems to be unending. I have worked in a community clinic, at Kaiser Permanente, and a private practice for over 16 years. I have also had the pleasure of supervising associate therapists and taught at the University of San Francisco for six years in their Master’s level Counseling Psychology Program. I help clients manage anxiety and depression, prevent burnout, and create practical changes that bring them back to balance. Together we’ll identify what’s not working, understand the patterns keeping you stuck, and build tools you can use in real life—not just in session. I have always been fascinated by human behavior, the process of producing it and the impact it has on the lives of those involved. From my earliest days of rural living to my time in LA, I truly experienced a journey of wondering in regard to such. Engaging in my own therapy increased my understanding of many of these things. After realizing the inherent value of such work, I was compelled to help others achieve the same by making it a career. I have worked in group and private practice settings since 2004 and currently also assist in running an intensive outpatient program. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most essential factor of therapy. My clients experience a compassionate, inclusive, and nonjudgmental approach, and feel safe, understood, and cared for in our sessions as they explore their needs and obtain the understanding and skills best suited to them.

I love partnering with people on their journey to greatness. I use a strengths-based approach to help my clients see the choices that are always at their disposal to unlearn past harmful messaging or combat unrelenting present symptoms. As a Black woman, I always integrate the importance of diversity. Playing small to blend in doesn't serve anyone. Whether we're different based on external or internal attributes, we all need to embrace our beautiful and different qualities so that we can live an authentic life. My work also focuses on boundaries, challenging thoughts, and improving communication skills. I integrate role plays, affirmations, accountability, and direct introspection exercises to aid clients in quieting the noise of societal norms to embrace their true joy. All sessions are client-focused, I don't come with my own agenda. I'm excited to help you live life with confidence on your own terms. I look forward to working with you.

As a licensed MFT therapist, my expertise is in the areas of substance abuse, prison populations, AB109s (felons)/290s (sex offenders), anger management, domestic violence, career counseling, and parenting supervision. In addition to individual, couples, and family counseling, I have experience with specific populations, such as transgender and LGBTQ, with a particular cultural emphasis on identity formation. I have worked closely with psychiatrists regarding members who require medication management and assessments, diagnosing and creating for those individuals, couples, and family's treatment plans counseling services. My clientele ranges from 6 to 75 years of age, and my therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Narrative therapy, and Supportive therapy. My foundation and belief system are based on being culturally sensitive when working with all clients to understand how they see their presenting problem within the context of their culture.

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I believe therapy should be a place where you feel comfortable, understood, and supported without judgment. I work with individuals who are navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, and the challenges that life can sometimes bring. My goal is to create a space where you can talk openly about what you’re going through and feel safe exploring your thoughts and feelings. My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a person-centered style, which means we work together to better understand your experiences while also building practical tools to help you cope, grow, and move forward. I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, supportive, and tailored to you as a person. I also have experience working with military members and veterans, and I recognize the unique experiences and stressors that can come with military life and transitions. I strive to offer a respectful and supportive environment where clients can process their experiences and work toward healing at their own pace. Above all, I believe everyone deserves a place where they feel heard, valued, and supported as they work toward a life that feels more balanced and meaningful.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in anxiety and depression. It’s my passion to work with young adults and adults with the number of challenges they can face to help them learn how to manage their feelings and develop ways to better cope with life. I do see children as well if they're able to meet independently virtually. I also enjoy working with new parents to navigate managing their new identity and improve their parenting skills. My approach to therapy is personable and genuine. I find that my style is particularly beneficial to those looking for a safe space free of judgment while getting honest engagement. I’m expressive, use humor, and genuinely enjoy getting to be a therapist.

I provide solution-focused individual counseling to adults dealing with life changes, transitions, anxiety, and boundary challenges. I graduated from Cal State University Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services in 2003. In 2005, I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California (USC). Then in 2017, I earned my PPSC with an emphasis on Child Welfare and Attendance from Cal State Long Beach (CSULB). My clinical experience was in county mental health. I specialized in the treatment of children and their families. I provided individual, group, and parenting services to high-risk communities. You don't need to have it all figured out before you begin — that's okay. I know that first step can feel like the hardest one to take. All you need is the willingness to take it. I help adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, chronic health conditions, pain, or major life changes reconnect with themselves and feel more in control of their lives. I began my social work career in 2006 in medical social work, hospice, and home health, supporting individuals and families through chronic illness, serious health concerns, loss, and difficult transitions. These experiences shaped my understanding of the deep connection between physical health and emotional well-being. I became a mental health provider because I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered. I'm passionate about helping people regain a sense of themselves, find hope, and develop tools to move forward through trauma, stress, and difficult circumstances. Sometimes life simply becomes too much, and it's okay to say, "This is hard," and ask for help. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, and EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training. I primarily work with adults navigating life transitions, chronic health conditions, pain, medical trauma, and traumatic experiences. My approach is integrative and individualized, drawing from EMDR, Brainspotting, clinical hypnosis, IFS-informed and parts-based approaches, Ego State Therapy, Imaginal Nurturing, and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), tailored to each client's needs and goals. I believe wellness is holistic — we don't get sick one way, and we don't get well one way. Mental and physical health are deeply connected, and I'm here to support your whole-person well-being through counseling, so you can get back to being you and enjoy life again.
