New to Grow
Welcome! I’m Carly, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who believes therapy should feel like a real, non-judgmental conversation . I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, and life transitions where I take a down-to-earth, collaborative approach. My style is warm, honest, and practical—my goal is for you to feel supported, understood, and actually helped. I want our work to feel like a space where you can breathe, grow, and feel more like yourself again.
Your first session with me is all about getting to know you in a comfortable, low-pressure way. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what you’re hoping to shift, and what support looks like for you. Clients can expect a warm, judgment-free space where they feel heard, validated, and understood. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of direction and what our work together will look like.
What stands out about my approach is my ability to create a safe, empathetic, and collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I prioritize building trust and rapport so clients feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions, patterns, and experiences at their own pace. Clients often tell me they appreciate not only being supported, but also feeling empowered to take meaningful steps toward their goals. My strength lies in balancing validation with encouragement, helping clients recognize their resilience, gain insight into their challenges, and develop practical strategies for navigating life’s difficulties with confidence and self-compassion.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and real—I meet clients where they are and help them move toward where they want to be. I blend evidence-based techniques like CBT, Narrative Therapy, trauma-informed care, and many others with a conversational, supportive style. I focus on helping clients understand their patterns, build emotional awareness, and develop tools that actually fit their life. My goal is for therapy to feel grounding, empowering, and genuinely helpful.
I regularly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work collaboratively to identify cognitive distortions, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and build healthier coping strategies. I incorporate structured CBT techniques—such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and skills practice between sessions—to support measurable, goal-oriented progress.
In couples therapy, I focus on helping partners understand their interaction patterns, increase effective communication, and rebuild emotional connection. I use structured, evidence-based techniques—such as emotion identification, conflict de-escalation skills, and repair strategies—to help couples shift from blame to collaboration. My work centers on creating safety, improving communication skills, and strengthening secure, healthy relationship dynamics.
I use Psychodynamic Therapy to help clients explore the deeper patterns, emotional wounds, and unconscious beliefs that influence their current thoughts and behaviors. Together, we identify themes from past experiences and relationships that may still be shaping the present. By increasing insight and understanding these patterns, clients gain more clarity, emotional freedom, and the ability to make intentional, healthier choices moving forward.
My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, which centers on safety, trust, and empowerment. I prioritize building a supportive environment where clients feel in control of their pace and their story. I help clients understand how trauma impacts the body and mind, develop grounding and regulation skills, and work toward healing without re-traumatization. My goal is to honor clients’ resilience, increase their sense of stability, and support them in reclaiming a greater sense of choice and agency.
In my work with clients, I use Narrative Therapy to help them separate themselves from their problems and reconnect with their strengths. I guide clients in exploring the stories they’ve been carrying—where they came from, how they’ve shaped identity, and which parts no longer serve them. Together, we re-author these narratives in ways that highlight resilience, values, and preferred ways of living, so clients can move forward with a more empowered and authentic sense of self.
