(she/her)
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting adolescents, young adults, adults, and families through life’s challenges. I work with clients navigating trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, and complex family dynamics, always honoring their cultural background and personal story. Through a compassionate, client-centered approach, I help individuals build resilience, gain insight, and develop the tools they need to heal, grow, and lead more empowered lives.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where we begin to get to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and any concerns or goals you may have. We'll move at your pace, and there’s no pressure to share everything right away—building trust takes time. I’ll also explain how I work and answer any questions you have, so you feel comfortable and empowered as we begin this journey together.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the way I blend evidence-based methods—such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and attachment-based therapy—with deep cultural awareness and genuine human connection. I tailor each session to meet your unique needs, respecting your pace and honoring your story. Clients often share that they feel truly seen and heard in our work together, and many experience lasting changes in how they relate to themselves and others. My strong ability to listen, remember what matters, and hold space for healing helps clients feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow.
I am best positioned to serve individuals and families who are navigating trauma, addiction recovery, anxiety, depression, and challenging life transitions. I work especially well with adolescents and young adults who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or misunderstood, as well as families seeking to repair strained relationships and improve communication. My ideal clients are open to self-exploration and ready to make meaningful changes, even if they’re unsure where to start. Whether you're working through past pain, managing daily stressors, or striving for healthier connections, I offer a safe, supportive space to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
In my practice, I use a trauma-informed approach by creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where clients feel empowered and in control of their healing process. I recognize how past trauma can impact present behavior and relationships, and I tailor treatment to build trust, foster resilience, and avoid re-traumatization.
In my practice, I use an attachment-based approach to help clients understand how early relationships shape their current patterns of connection, trust, and emotional regulation. I work with clients to build healthier, more secure relationships—both with themselves and with others—by exploring and healing attachment wounds.
In my practice, I use a Rogerian, client-centered approach by creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and accepted. I believe that each person has the inner capacity for growth, and I support that process through empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard.
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients with depression and anxiety identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress. Together, we develop practical coping skills and healthier ways of thinking to reduce symptoms and improve daily functioning.
