LMFT, 25 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello, I am Coralia Valdez, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. I have been working in the mental health field for over 25 years. Throughout my work as therapist, I believe that real change happens when you feel truly heard and supported. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can explore your challenges, discover your strengths, and move toward the life you want.
In our fist session, we will review intake process, answer questions that you might have, get to know each other which will lead us on exploration of your mental health needs. I will honor your pace on this first step in your therapeutic journey. We will work together to set clear therapeutic goals and begin laying the foundations for the healing and growth process in a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I use a client-centered approach, which means I meet you where you are and walk alongside you in your journey; emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard to build strong therapeutic relationships. Together, we’ll draw from tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to understand patterns that may be holding you back, Solution-Focused Therapy to highlight your strengths and build on what’s already working, and Problem-Solving strategies to help you face challenges with more confidence.
Your story is unique and powerful, whether you’re navigating personal struggles, overwhelming emotions relationship challenges, family dynamics, or life transitions, I aim to offer compassion, encouragement, and practical skills to support lasting growth.
