I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of clinical experience, grounded in a lifelong passion for providing meaningful clinical services and fostering healing relationships. My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, followed by a Master's in Clinical Social Work with a concentration in Community Mental Health. These foundations shaped a career centered on serving diverse communities and addressing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.
Throughout my training and professional work, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals across the lifespan from adolescents to older adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and complex life transitions. My early clinical experience included providing therapy to incarcerated youth and working in Kaiser Permanente’s Behavioral Health department, treating a broad general population. Professionally, I’ve held leadership roles overseeing residential psychiatric facilities for individuals experiencing homelessness and served as a psychological expert in the court system, where I helped provide treatment and mental health diversion for those involved in the criminal justice system. Additionally, I’ve supported the next generation of therapists as a clinical supervisor for graduate students and early-career clinicians.

I am a bilingual, bicultural licensed therapist based in California (#27110). I understand the importance of culture and identity and how they each play a part in how we see the world. I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I am passionate about helping clients through their healing journey. Hello, I'm a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience in supporting people navigating unforeseen and unwelcome change. Some of the common emotional experiences of the people whom I serve include coping with feelings of uncertainty, anxiety, fear, sadness, grief, and loss.
My background is with people impacted by cancer. I have worked on the east and west coasts in hospitals and outpatient clinical settings.
A life-threatening illness can impact overall quality of life including physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. My area of interest is to support people who are facing various life transitions and stressors – whether it be a conflict in a relationship, a concern at work, or worries about the future.
It is completely “normal” not to know exactly what it is that brings you to therapy, to know what it is that you are feeling, or what, if anything, you would like to be different in your life.
With an open mind and some patience, together, we can explore what matters most to you, and what might promote a sense of meaning, purpose, and fulfillment in your life.
I’m Dr. Gabe Veas, a psychotherapist who helps high-achieving adults, couples, and creatives move past shame, fear, and pressure to keep it all together. Many appear successful on paper yet feel disconnected, anxious, or unfulfilled inside. Our work focuses on rebuilding intimacy, confidence, and freedom that lasts. My learning didn’t end with degrees; it continues through mentorship, embodiment, and years of helping people reclaim the parts of themselves that feel hidden or shut down. I founded Palm Springs Psychotherapy to offer a private, deeply personalized space for clients who want more than symptom relief. My approach blends cognitive, relational, and somatic methods to help you reconnect with what feels real and alive, both in your mind and in your body.
f you’re ready to feel more connected and fully alive, let’s begin with a private consultation. This work is for people who are ready for real change, deeper relationships, sexual confidence, and a clearer sense of self.
I have worked in various environments, which have included community mental health and medical settings. I am committed to leading with warmth, empathy, and a fundamental curiosity that reserves assumptions.

I began my career in social work after having two sons with Autism and witnessing firsthand the challenges and injustices families can face. This inspired me to help others feel supported and to ensure they have someone in their corner rooting for them. I became a mental health provider because I am passionate about helping people regain their lives, find hope for better days, and overcome difficult situations and traumatic events. Life can have ups and downs, and it’s okay to ask for help and say, “this is hard.”
