Hi there — I’m Sydney! I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Indianapolis, where I also minored in psychology. My master’s concentration was in Integrated Behavioral Health Systems, which is a fancy way of saying I pay attention to how all the different parts of our lives — relationships, work, family, physical health, stress, past experiences, and environment — interact with one another. That systems perspective still shapes the way I approach therapy today because life RARELY happens in neat, separate categories. I’ve worked with clients of all ages, but I especially enjoy working with people who are willing to lean into the uncomfortable parts of growth. Therapy with me includes equal parts humor and hard conversations. My style is direct, honest, and grounded — no Pinterest quotes or sprinkling glitter over hard things. I’m here to offer honest feedback, practical support, and a space where you can show up exactly as you are. I often describe therapy as unpacking an overstuffed suitcase you’ve been dragging around for years. Together, we take things out piece by piece, figure out what still serves you, what never should’ve been yours to carry, and organize it in a way that feels manageable instead of chaotic. I like to think of it as hiring a professional emotional organizer. Through exploring trauma, relationships, patterns, and life stressors, we work toward helping you move forward with more clarity and less weight. I work full-time in private practice and love helping people navigate relationships, untangle life’s chaos, and find ways forward that actually feel sustainable. I’ll likely always have a cup of coffee nearby, and my furry emotional support sidekick, Henry Jo, quietly judging your choices from the corner (though he may judge less harshly if you bring a tennis ball to session).

Having worked in myriad settings already since getting my LSW in 2018, and having been in helping professions since age 19, the reason I still love this line of work is due to the change one can bring to people's Worlds, in a way they may have never thought possible. I am client-centered and focused on making it so my clients don't need therapy anymore, by freeing them of mental maladies that many decide to internalize, instead of cure.

Sometimes life can feel like a Rubik’s Cube in your mind- complicated, overwhelming, and impossible to solve on your own. That’s where I come in! I believe everyone deserves a safe, judgment free space to unpack their thoughts and feelings, begin to make sense of them, and move toward healing. My passion is helping adults recover from trauma, whether rooted in childhood or more recent experiences. I have experience supporting individuals who are navigating trauma, anxiety, codependency, attachment challenges, addictions, and personality disorders, and I work alongside each client to create a path forward that feels both empowering and hopeful.

I work with high-performing professionals who are exhausted from carrying too much responsibility for too long. Many of my clients are leaders, healthcare providers, executives, and driven individuals who appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, burned out, or emotionally depleted behind the scenes. Before becoming a full-time therapist, I served in senior healthcare leadership roles, including Regional Vice President. I understand the pressure of performance plans, regulatory scrutiny, organizational instability, and the silent weight of being the person everyone else depends on. In therapy, we focus on restoring clarity, rebuilding emotional resilience, and addressing the root causes of anxiety, trauma, and chronic stress. My approach integrates evidence-based cognitive and trauma-informed interventions with practical, real-world strategies that support both professional and personal stability. If you are a high-achieving individual who feels stuck, overextended, or quietly unraveling under pressure, you are not weak. You are overloaded. Together, we will recalibrate your nervous system, strengthen your internal narrative, and restore sustainable performance without sacrificing your well-being.

I am Danelle King, MSW, LCSW, and for over 30 years I have been dedicated to walking alongside individuals and couples and families as they navigate life’s challenges. With a natural gift for nurturing and support, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where my clients can be open and honest without fear of criticism. I believe that healing begins with honesty, and I am gentle in my approach, offering genuine feedback and personalized guidance tailored to each person’s unique circumstances. My work is focused on helping clients address problematic behaviors, process traumatic experiences, and manage specific mental health diagnoses. I draw not only on professional expertise, but also on my personal experiences of resilience and connection. As a wife and mother to nine wonderful children—three of whom joined our family through adoption from foster care—I understand the complexities of family dynamics, love, and healing. My love for animals also enriches my life and reminds me daily of the importance of joy, balance, and unconditional care. Faith plays a central role in both my personal life and my work as a therapist. I believe that spirituality can be a powerful source of strength, hope, and renewal. I often integrate faith into therapy, helping them draw on their beliefs as a foundation for healing and growth. I see faith as a guidepost for resilience, compassion, and purpose, and I consider it a privilege to incorporate these values into the therapeutic journey.

Are you ready to make a change? I'm Cheri Counterman, LCSW. I've been working as a therapist and medical social worker for over a decade. I've worked with clients who have had a wide range of concerns like depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, trauma, and many more. For therapeutic modalities, I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) but also utilize other forms of therapy like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Person-Centered Therapy. I am passionate about learning new therapeutic skills and attend yearly trainings to stay on top of new evidence-based therapies to help my clients. I know that asking for help can be one of the most vulnerable things we do as humans. That's why it's so important to me to make sure your time with me is as comfortable as possible. My goal is to create an open, safe space where you can feel supported in whatever you need from me. I believe that all people are valuable and deserve love and support no matter what they've been through. I am passionate about helping individuals find hope and healing by the process of therapy. I have a holistic approach to understanding my clients and seek to capitalize on their strengths and talents. I view therapy as a collaborative process. I welcome all parts of you to this space, including your Christian faith. As we work together, it is my goal to support you, encourage you, and help you to make sense of your past as you disentangle it from your present. My office is a caring and safe environment to begin transforming your pain to growth. In 2017, I received my training at Christian Theological Seminary (CTS) in Indianapolis, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling; Later in 2022, I obtained a Doctor of Ministry degree in Practical Theology with a focus on Pastoral Care at CTS. My training focused on psychodynamic theories and techniques in working with individuals, and my theoretical orientation is eclectic as I draw on various therapies and techniques to meet the unique needs of each client; psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered and motivational interviewing are some regularly used approaches. I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), having 5+ years of serving individuals with mental health concerns and life challenges. The goal is to walk alongside, support, and challenge people as we work together in meeting therapy goals.

Do you feel stuck in a pattern that is negatively impacting your overall wellness? Just as important as the "why" is the "what" aspect of the mind. What we think, what we feel and what we believe are all intertwined with our behavior. Exploring the thoughts and beliefs that underpin certain actions can lead to profound self-awareness and personal growth. In my interactions with clients, I have witnessed the transformative power of uncovering and challenging deep-seated beliefs that no longer serve them. While patterns and commonalities may emerge among individuals, it is crucial to remember that each person's mind is a unique landscape. What works for one may not work for another, and it is my duty as a clinician to adapt the plan of care accordingly. As a therapist and health coach, I incorporate a holistic (mind/body) approach.

Hey there. I'm Dennis aka Denny Bartsch. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in the field for over 15 years. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, and Strength Based techniques in my practice. I'm a goofy social worker who likes to use a non-confrontational approach to working with my clients. I do believe that you know your story/life better than I ever will so I believe in what you have to say. One thing that makes me pretty different from other service providers is that I saw a need for session times available for clients later in the day and evening so I decided to have my scheduled be from Monday through Friday's from 12:30pm EST to 9pm EST. I hope to accommodate more people this way. I like to use humor and positive support for my client's as we go on this journey together to helping you achieve the goals we identify in session together. My goal is to work towards you having the skills, support, and confidence you need to be successful. I like to think outside of the box when I work with my client's so you just wait and see! Therapy doesn't need to be scary. Let's work together and maybe laugh through some of it. We got this! Together!

Something brought you here today. Maybe it's the exhaustion of always being on edge, or a sense that your body hasn't felt safe in a very long time. Whatever it was, I'm glad you followed it. I'm a trauma-informed Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Indiana and Montana. I've spent my career walking alongside people through some of life's most complicated terrain: trauma, identity, nervous system overwhelm, and the quiet grief that comes from feeling like you've never quite fit. My work is rooted in somatic and relational approaches, which means we pay attention not just to your thoughts and story, but to what your body has been carrying. Healing isn't only a cognitive process. It lives in the nervous system, and I'll help you learn to work with yours. I specialize in trauma, particularly the kind rooted in childhood, relationships, and the experience of moving through the world in a brain that works differently. I work with neurodivergent adults who are discovering and exploring later in life that there's always been a name for the way their mind works. For many, this realization brings both relief and grief. And parents of neurodivergent children who are stretched thin and searching for steadier ground. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I don't take lightly the courage it takes to reach out. My goal is simple: to create a space where you feel genuinely understood. Not managed, not diagnosed, just met. I'm so glad you're here.

These symptoms and attachment style are often related to each other and often related to similar childhood experiences of inconstant or abusive/neglectful caregivers. Do you often feel overwhelmed with life? Or do you feel that something from your past is keeping you stuck? I can help with anxiety, depression, past trauma, negative self talk, relationship issues and more. I have found great success with walking along side the people I work with to help them move from where they are to where they want to be…wherever that might be! I’m nonjudgmental and accepting of all walks of life- LGBTQIA+ individuals are welcome. I didn’t get into therapy to “fix” people, I use my practice to guide and help find new ways of doing or looking at things. I love being able to track the progress my clients make when they utilize the skills we’ve talked about in session. I use a mix of Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for most cases. For those suffering from PTSD, I use my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional training which includes somatic (body) work along with narrative work, all of which is grounded in the neuroscience of trauma. I have my Perinatal Mental Health Certificate as well, meaning I am aptly trained to help with anyone transitioning into new parenthood. I’m not overly concerned with labels and diagnoses, I’m just here to help you make changes to function and feel better day to day. If you think my approach sounds like it would help you, please reach out and we can schedule our first session to determine if we’ll be a good fit to work together moving forward. I genuinely can’t wait to meet you.

Hi there! I'm Ross (he/him), and I'm so happy you are making the steps to focus on your mental health. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should feel like a safe, affirming space where you can be your authentic self without judgement. Because of this I focus primarily on using affirmative therapy as my main modality. I specialize in working with young adults and adults, especially those in the LGBTQIA+ community, who may be navigating identity, relationships, anxiety, or life transitions. I also have experience with assisting those experiencing burnout whether from caregiving, work, or from other aspects of life! My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, which means I'll meet you where you are, honor your experiences, and support you in building the confidence and tools you need to thrive. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, identity development, relationships, or navigating life in general I'd be happy to support you and walk with you through that journey. I know it can be overwhelming to start therapy, but you don't have to go through this alone and I'd be honored to support you through those challenging times. Together, we'll focus on your strengths, explore what's meaningful to you, and help you move forward feeling more grounded, empowered, and understood.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is EMDR and FLASH trained. I bring warmth and compassion into each session. My goal is to provide a space that fosters self-reflection, vulnerability, and self-connection. It takes courage to seek help when your mental health is struggling, and you have already taken the first step. I look forward to walking alongside you as you begin on your path to healing and growth. I bring several passions into the field of counseling. I have enjoyed working with adults of all ages and have also worked alongside students, both in the roles of educator and coach at the grade school and intercollegiate levels. Whether in school, on the playing field, or in life, we bring our whole selves into the experience. Life requires much of us, and it is important to acknowledge and care for the wounded parts of ourselves that have endured various traumas, pain, grief, and loss. I have spent the last nearly 20 years of my life as a coach, educator, and counselor. I completed my undergraduate degree with a BS in English Education and completed my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In my spare time, I enjoy running, hiking, cheering for the Chicago Bears, quality time with friends and family, reading, and listening to music.

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Indiana. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Indiana from Fort Wayne to Evansville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Indiana.

Yes! If you use Golden Rule you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have Golden Rule you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
