I am an LCSW with fifteen years of experience working in an outpatient setting and private practice treating anxiety, mood disorders, grief, acute/chronic stress, relationship/codependency issues, life transitions, and trauma. I approach treatment from a holistic perspective-addressing and integrating all aspects of an individual. Treating the whole person and exploring all of the factors playing a role in your overall well-being. Together we will explore the symptoms, issues, and patterns that are no longer working and develop strategies and techniques to foster a greater self-awareness and understanding as well as to create more internal freedom.
In the beginning sessions we will look at personal history, how you got to this point in your life, identifying disruptive life patterns, as well as develop an effective strategy to address what is no longer working.
I think I come from a unique, open-minded perspective using both clinical skills and intuition in order to help clients develop an understanding of the root cause of imbalance in their lives.
I believe that we are our own best healer, but often we need the space and support to access this part of ourselves. I believe our true nature is one of freedom and I love helping people to identify the barriers that get in the way of realizing this. I enjoy working with people that are willing to look deeply at themselves.

In my clinical practice I have a strong focus on mindfulness-based strategies. I facilitated a mindfulness group for 10+ years teaching strategies and techniques to help individuals increase present moment awareness. This helps a person to gain an understanding of their own patterns as well as how to respond or interrupt those patterns in order to create positive change.
This treatment modality helps to explore the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We will work to develop strategies to challenge negative thought patterns, unhealthy emotional responses, and maladaptive behaviors.
I use a mind/body approach to explore all of the underlying factors contributing to your overall well-being. Exploring imbalances of mind, body, spirit.
