Hello! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Virginia. I received my Masters degree from the University of Virginia (Counselor Education) and have been practicing for 26 years. I help individuals struggling with anxiety and depression, to find coping strategies that work for them and help them to reduce stress. The overall goal is for the individual to become the best version of themselves.
Are stress, anxiety, relationship struggles, or life changes starting to take over? Do you feel stuck in worry, low mood, or patterns shaped by past experiences? If something is holding you back, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface and focus on building clarity, learning practical tools, and creating a path that helps you feel more steady, confident, and in control.
Hi, I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio and a Licensed Professional Counselor Virginia and Arizona. I graduated with my M.A. in Clinical Counseling in 2013. I am a Certified Mood Disorder Professional (CMDP), and I specialize in woman's issues, life transitions, individuals diagnosed with mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression (as well as treatment resistant depression), and individuals with suicidal and self harming behaviors.
Seeking support is a courageous first step, and I am honored to walk alongside my clients on their journey toward healing and growth. As a compassionate, empathetic, and solution-focused therapist, I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and understood.
With over 13 years of clinical experience, I work with adults facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and life transitions. My approach combines evidence-based practices, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based interventions, to help clients gain insight into unhelpful patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and build on their existing strengths.
I believe that meaningful change occurs when clients feel empowered to understand themselves more deeply and take intentional steps toward the life they want to create. My goal is to help you move beyond surviving and toward thriving with greater confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being
Hi! My name is Lisa and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist in the state of North Carolina. I am also cross licensed in the state of Nevada, Montana, New Mexico, Vermont, Virginia, Maryland, and Texas. I have been in the Substance Abuse field since 1996 working as an alcohol counselor in an outpatient setting. I received my applied AAS degree in 1996 and went on to receive my BS in Community Health and Human Services with an emphasis on Grief and Gerontology. I have two Masters degrees from Liberty University in Professional Counseling and Criminal Justice.
Hi! I am a licensed counselor in Florida and Georgia. I have been working as a counselor for 14 years, with a private practice for the past 9 years. I went to the University of North Florida for undergraduate and graduate school. I have worked with many populations including men and women, high achievers, professionals, veterans, who have dealt with anxiety, depression, life transitions, family and career issues, etc.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience working with children and adults. I have primarily worked within school systems as an on-site therapist; as well as in my own private practice. I work with people who have a variety of concerns, including: trauma, attachment, grief and loss, divorce, school problems, anxiety and depression, life-phase transitions, and family conflicts. I value an eclectic and prescriptive therapeutic model, and am skilled at shifting gears when the need arises.
My specialty is working with children 2 to 12. As a registered play therapist/supervisor, I understand the language that children routinely use to communicate: play. Through play therapy, children can explore new roles, act out challenging situations, and re-work beliefs about themselves and others. In parent-child play therapy (with younger children), we work together to build secure and safe connections, practice new ways of communicating, and foster JOY in your interactions.
In addition to play therapy, I have trained extensively in EMDR (for children and adults), Jungian sandtray, the Oaklander Model of Gestalt Play therapy, Mindfulness, and Theraplay. Every one of these modalities is meant to foster relationships built on safety, warmth, security, and trust.
My work with adult clients can be described as "going deep." I especially enjoy working with adult women going through life transitions (career, family, spiritual). In addition, I am interested in working with other therapists who experience clinical burnout.
In my life outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, crocheting, reading, yoga, walking, petting my cats, and spending time in nature.
Congratulations on taking an important step toward strengthening your emotional well-being and prioritizing your mental health. Seeking support is a meaningful decision that reflects courage, self-awareness, and a commitment to personal growth. I am Dr. Vester Appiah, a doctoral-level Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP). With more than a decade of clinical experience, I specialize in providing evidence-based, compassionate care to adolescents, young adults, and adults. My approach is tailored to support individuals seeking stability, growth, and long-term healing.
Dr. Wuhib is a clinical psychologist who has been in the mental health field since 2001 when her first job entailed working with adults with chronic and severe mental illness to prevent repeated hospitalizations. She has since held various positions providing psychotherapy, consultation, as well as intelligence and diagnostic testing for children and adults.
Dr. Wuhib uses a collaborative, outcome focused approach tailored to individuals' needs using cognitive behavior, psychodynamic, and mindfulness therapies that are trauma informed. Her special interests are chronic stress, anxiety, and complex relationship trauma and their impact on daily living.
Welcome!
I came to this work a little differently than some. After spending 16 years in my first career, I found myself sitting across from a therapist for the first time. That experience changed my life. It gave me not only a new perspective on myself but also a deep desire to help others in the same way. So, I made a big leap: I went back to school to become a therapist myself.
Since then, it’s been over two decades of meaningful, often humbling work. I spent 21 years in community-based mental health and substance abuse treatment, and I was fortunate to serve as a contracted therapy provider for the Department of Defense—work that gave me a profound respect for the strength and resilience of those who serve. I’ve also worked in private group practice and provided therapy in intensive outpatient programs in Canada, gaining experience with a wide range of individuals and challenges along the way.
In November 2021, I opened my own private practice. It’s been an incredible privilege to support individuals and couples in this more personal setting, and I truly value the relationships I build with each client. If you’re considering therapy, I want you to know you're not alone—and change really is possible.

I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC), and an EMDRIA-Approved EMDR Therapist (FL/NJ/VA). I attempt to resolve the most dominant and deep-seated challenges within 8 to 12 sessions with short-term counseling, if you are ready for change and the best fit for the intervention. My therapeutic approach is based on the individual's specific needs. I also use traditional talk therapy with my clients. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of therapy that enables you to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. I work with adult clients. *NOTE: According to my policy, I do not complete FMLA or disability paperwork at this time.

I have always had the conscious goal of supporting others with being able to overcome their hardships and internal challenges that prevents them from being successful. I am a firm believer that in life we have all experienced some type of challenge that will impact our thoughts and emotions. For some people the challenge is more difficult than others and they will experience greater hardship and internal challenges that will send them on a spiral to the unknown. Being a therapist has always been a desire of mine to support others with understanding their thoughts, feelings, beliefs and behaviors associated with how they feel.
I am a licensed professional counselor and have been licensed for almost 2 years of experience and 25 years in the areas of coaching, training, leadership, and mentoring industries. I love to meet the client where they are and allow them to help me follow them and where they desire to go.
