New to Grow
My counseling style is compassionate, supportive, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered. Through collaboration, I help clients explore challenges, identify strengths, develop effective coping skills, and build practical strategies to achieve their goals, enhance emotional well-being, and improve overall quality of life. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and strength-based interventions, I help clients increase confidence in their ability to manage stress, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. My goal is to empower clients to make meaningful changes, achieve personal goals, and enhance their overall emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being while fostering lasting growth and resilience.
During the first session, we will review intake paperwork, informed consent, confidentiality, practice policies, and any fees or payment arrangements. We will discuss your reasons for seeking counseling, current concerns, personal strengths, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. This session is designed to help us build rapport, clarify your goals, answer any questions you may have, and develop a plan that supports your individual needs and desired outcomes.
My counseling approach is rooted in both professional training and life experience, allowing me to connect with clients in a genuine, practical, and compassionate manner. As a Christian counselor, I welcome faith-based discussions and biblical principles when desired by the client, while always respecting each individual's beliefs, values, and personal journey. I believe healing and growth occur when clients feel safe, heard, and understood. At times, sessions may include moments of quiet reflection, allowing space for clients to process emotions, gain insight, or hear their own thoughts more clearly. While I strive to be supportive and encouraging, I also believe meaningful change requires honest feedback. There may be times when I gently challenge unhealthy thought patterns, behaviors, or perspectives that may be preventing progress. When appropriate, I may offer observations, ask difficult questions, or respectfully push back to help clients consider alternative viewpoints and deeper truths about themselves and their situations. Clients can expect a balance of compassion, accountability, practical coping strategies, and meaningful conversations that support emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being.
I enjoy working with individuals across the lifespan, particularly women ages 18–64 and adults age 65 and older. My practice focuses on supporting clients as they navigate life's challenges, transitions, and personal growth. I provide support for a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, life transitions, stress management, relationship challenges, caregiver concerns, and personal growth. My therapeutic approach emphasizes creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore challenges, discover strengths, and develop practical strategies to achieve their personal goals and improve their overall quality of life.
