My name is Ebony Brown. I am an LCSW with a background in trauma-focused and mindfulness-based approaches. I work with individuals who are looking to overcome past challenges, build emotional resilience, and develop practical skills to navigate everyday life. I tailor each session to your unique strengths and goals, and I’m excited to support you on your journey. I enjoy what I do!
I am an AK amputee, a person with a disability, a disabled person, a one-legged person, or as medical folks will say a person with a "residual limb" (I have never heard an amputee call their stump a residual limb). If you have been looking for a therapist and you see the photo they choose to put on their page, how many put their disability in their photo? That choice says something. I am also a psychotherapist with 50 years experience of providing therapy to adolescents, adults, and families. My identity shifted 10 years ago when my right leg was amputated above the knee (AK). The identity as a disabled person is not a sought after identity. In many ways being disabled sucks big time. Providing telehealth services would be one way for me to "hide" my disability. Just never point the camera toward my leg. I don't like my experience of me just walking into a room and my leg has already introduced me long before I say my name. I am looking for clients that are disabled in some way and want to work on not letting that "disability label " suck your lifeblood away.

I draw from an integrated framework that includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), parts work, and Motivational Interviewing, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs and goals of the individual. Through this flexible and compassionate approach, I help clients build insight, strengthen resilience, and move toward lasting, meaningful change.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker, Veteran, and the founder of Beacon Behavioral Therapy, PLLC, where I provide therapy for adults and students navigating life transitions, work-related or academic stress, burnout, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma. I also specialize in supporting individuals in high-stress roles such as military, law enforcement, first responders, caregivers, and healthcare and helping professionals. As a Veteran myself, I understand what it is like to work in mission focused environments
My approach is collaborative and practical, drawing from CBT, EMDR, and trauma-informed care to help clients better understand what they’re experiencing, build effective coping skills, and make meaningful, sustainable changes in their daily lives. I focus on creating a supportive space where clients can slow down, gain clarity, and work at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in military and government environments, which informs my understanding of high-pressure systems and the challenges faced by professionals in demanding roles I understand what it’s like to work in mission-focused environments where you’re expected to keep going and perform under pressure, even when things are difficult. That perspective informs my work with clients who are used to carrying a lot, pushing through stress, and not always having space to process their own experiences while continuing to show up for others.
My name is Jennifer Bailey, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Drama Therapist. I help clients identify and pursue the goals that lead to a life filled with meaning, pride, and contentment.
Now, you may be wondering: “What exactly is a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT)?” Simply put, it means I integrate elements of theater and creative expression into the therapeutic process. With me, you have options. You might choose a traditional talk-therapy session to explore your thoughts, emotions, and goals. Or, if words don’t feel like enough, you might try something more experiential—writing, movement, role-play, or even reimagining and practicing conversations that keep replaying in your mind.
Talk therapy is a powerful tool for growth, but sometimes it takes more than words to truly process what’s happening inside. That’s where creativity can open new doors. Whether through conversation, movement, sound, or artistic expression, I provide a space where you can choose what feels most healing and helpful.
I would be honored to support you—whether that’s working toward personal goals, processing difficult emotions, or making positive and lasting changes in your life.

You were the one who kept the calendar. You made the phone calls, sat in hospital parking garages, read the paperwork nobody else would read, and you did it well enough that people quit asking how you were holding up. Then something shifted, a retirement or a diagnosis or a death or a move you wouldn't have chosen, and the shape your days used to have went with it. You still get up and make the coffee. You still answer when the phone rings. It just costs more than it used to.
I've been a licensed counselor for close to twenty years, and most of my work now is with people in the second half of life who are carrying grief, caregiving, or changes they didn't ask for, along with the questions that tend to surface once the old schedule falls away.
I don't assign homework and I've never handed anyone a packet of coping skills. What I offer is an hour where you can say the true thing out loud to someone who will sit with it and won't hurry you toward feeling better.
I see clients by video in Colorado, Wyoming, and Virginia, and I have openings now. If you've been putting this off, go ahead and book a first session so we can find out whether I'm the right person for it.
I have been working with individuals struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use, sexual addiction, and mental health challenges for the past ten years. I have a real heart to walk alongside you to encourage, support, and empower you to move forward in your recovery needs. I graduated from Liberty University in 2014 with an MA in Professional Counseling and completed a Doctoral program specializing in treating trauma-related challenges. I approach recovery through the eyes of motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

Hi, my name is Stephen
As a Christian do you ever feel like you are letting God down, or like you are not being faithful enough because you have real-life problems? Problems In your relationship, emotionally, behaviorally, or even with substance abuse.
Is it hard to be kind to yourself?
I help individuals manage their anxiety, depression, or burnout by addressing the needs of your body, mind, and spirit using the bible. I integrate current counseling theories with sound biblical principles to help develop a stronger relationship with God, and a stronger you.
Whether you are dealing with being overwhelmed, relationship issues, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I am here to help.
Seeking therapy can seem scary and maybe even against some of the teachings you've learned in church, but you are making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together I will meet with you, and your spouse if you want, with compassion and evidence-based techniques while using biblical principles so you can overcome the hang-ups and habits holding you back. The research says that 1 in 4 people in the United States, at any given time, have mental health issues. This does not exclude the church. The average church in Virginia has 250 members attending on any given Sunday. That means that at least fifty people in your church service last Sunday are struggling with some type of mental illness or emotional problem. I work with churches to help them with ministering to the hurting, please let me help you.
Congrats on taking the first step in initiating therapy. It may not always be easy, but taking time for your well-being is always worth it. Hi, I'm Taylor. I'm so glad you're here. It’s no small thing making the decision to sign up to talk to a stranger about the overwhelming and very often draining circumstances that you’re in. I want to highlight how much being on this site, and looking through profiles is such a significant step toward your mental health goals.
Anxiety and improving self image are at the core of my work. I focus on helping clients develop flexible thinking and self-compassion — practical tools that help you step away from self-criticism and patterns that keep life feeling heavy. The goal of this work isn't about becoming a perfect version of yourself. It's about learning to navigate life's challenges with greater flexibility, confidence, and self-understanding.

Sometimes the changes and challenges become overwhelming and you might find yourself thinking “How do I find my way forward?"
I’m no stranger to discomfort and pain, I’ve walked in those shoes throughout my life.
