Hi there! My name is Jasmine Bonner, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a small private practice that I launched during my maternity leave last year. Outside of being a therapist, I am a wife, a mom to two little ones (ages 5 and 10 months), a sister, a daughter, and so much more. I know how easy it is to become defined by the titles we hold and the responsibilities we carry. That's why I encourage you to look a little deeper and reflect on who you are beyond those roles and who you want to become. Life is constantly lifing, and I understand how deeply exhausting it can be to keep showing up for everyone and everything while trying to hold yourself together.

You spend so much time showing up for everyone else. Let's make space for your healing, growth, and well-being, too.

I genuinely enjoy holding space for individuals navigating the complexities of life, whether you're managing anxiety, working through past experiences, navigating a life transition, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself. It's easy to say, "I'm fine," put your feelings aside, and keep trucking. In our work together, I invite you to put the armor down, be present, and give yourself permission to show up as you are. Therapy can be a space to process, heal, grow, and create meaningful change. You deserve a space that is specifically for you a space where you feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered to become a more authentic version of yourself.

First session

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you're unsure what to expect or where to begin. In our first session, we'll take time to get to know one another, explore what brings you to therapy, and discuss what you hope to gain from the experience. You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. We'll work together to identify what's important to you and begin exploring how therapy can best support your needs. My goal is for you to leave feeling comfortable, heard, and with a clearer sense of what our work together can look like.

Strengths

I bring warmth, authenticity, curiosity, and a collaborative approach to therapy. My goal is for you to feel comfortable showing up as your full, authentic self without feeling like you have to have everything figured out. I want you to feel seen, heard, and respected as we explore your experiences in a space free of judgment. I believe therapy should be both supportive and practical. Sometimes, you need space to process and feel understood; other times, you may need a gentle nudge, a different perspective, or tools to help you navigate everyday life. I strive to balance compassion and validation with thoughtful questions and gentle challenges that encourage growth beyond our sessions. I recognize that no two people have the same story, so I tailor my approach to your unique needs and experiences. I incorporate evidence-based practices such as EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques to support your healing and growth. I also value transparency, cultural responsiveness, and building a genuine therapeutic relationship. You are the expert on your own life, and I believe meaningful change happens when we work together to understand your experiences, recognize patterns, and create a path forward that feels right for you.

Ideal clients

You may be navigating a major life transition, adjusting to new responsibilities, working through past experiences, or trying to find your footing in a season of uncertainty. Perhaps you're a young adult figuring out your next steps, a woman balancing multiple roles and expectations, or someone ready to address patterns that have followed you throughout life. You may be seeking clarity, emotional balance, healthier boundaries, or a better understanding of yourself and your relationships. You might come to therapy with specific goals in mind, or you may simply know that something needs to change but aren't quite sure where to start.

Treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR to help you process distressing experiences that may continue to affect how you see yourself, navigate relationships, and respond to everyday situations. Together, we'll work to identify experiences and beliefs that may be contributing to current challenges and help you develop a more adaptive understanding of those experiences. My approach prioritizes emotional safety, preparation, and working at a pace that feels manageable for you. The goal is to help you feel less overwhelmed by the past and more grounded in the present.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we'll explore patterns that may contribute to anxiety, stress, overthinking, or emotional distress and identify ways to respond differently. Through reflection, practical coping strategies, and skill-building, you'll learn to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, regulate your emotions, and develop healthier ways of navigating everyday challenges. My goal is to help you apply what you learn in therapy to your daily life.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help you develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling like you have to control, avoid, or eliminate them. Together, we'll explore what matters most to you, identify the values you want to guide your life, and work toward actions that align with those values, even when life feels uncomfortable or uncertain. This approach can help you build psychological flexibility, practice self-compassion, and make meaningful changes without waiting until everything feels perfect.
