You keep seeing everyone posting about being their best self, and showing up for themselves. Meanwhile you are just trying to be. Whatever that be, may be for the day. I believe that in order to be your best self, you must be authentic. What does that even look like? You must be true to what you’ve endured, the things that you have overcome…the good, the bad, and even the ugly moments. I help women to embrace them all. Then we take it a step further and look at building you up as a WHOLE. So your best self starts with where you are today and then we create a plan on where you want to be and who you want to become.
In the initial session, we complete the assessment. The client gets to discuss the what they are looking for not only in therapy but the therapist. We will discuss the rules and guidelines of therapy and expectations.
My greatest strength is my authenticity and ability to be nonjudgmental. In a world full of aesthetics, I show up as myself.
Chrystal Davis offers therapy covered by Kaiser Permanente - Medicaid and UnitedHealthcare/Optum - Medicaid in Virginia.
I support clients with understanding the way they think (thoughts) and what they do (behaviors) affect how they feel.
I support clients with understanding the importance of being aware of their feelings, without feeling the need to interpret or judge those feelings. I teach clients how to practice mindfulness which includes breathing methods other practices to relax the body and mind and help reduce stress.
It is important to provide a safe and nonjudgmental environment to each client in order to support them to realize their full potential and make positive changes in their life.
