You keep seeing everyone posting about being their best self, and showing up for themselves. Meanwhile you are just trying to be. Whatever that be, may be for the day. I believe that in order to be your best self, you must be authentic. What does that even look like? You must be true to what you’ve endured, the things that you have overcome…the good, the bad, and even the ugly moments. I help women to embrace them all. Then we take it a step further and look at building you up as a WHOLE. So your best self starts with where you are today and then we create a plan on where you want to be and who you want to become.

Hey! I'm glad that you are looking to get therapy. Here are some things to know about me while making you decision on what works well for you. I come from a military life style allowing me to travel the world and see all kinds of cultures. Because of this I see value in everyone. I believe in getting results in therapy. I want to see people change as fast as they want to or are willing to. So I give things to practice in every session. I believe in poly vagal theory and teach clients to release emotions from there nervous system not just cope with it. I often say I consider myself more of a trainer than therapist sometimes. I also help a lot with attachment struggles. I hope this gives you enough info about me to feel comfortable working with me. I am also very flexible with how I work with people.

Hellooo! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist living in Virginia. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Regent University in 2008. I have lived in many different places but mostly I grew up in eastern North Carolina and Europe. Having parents from western New York and southern West Virginia, I was raised in a "northern" household in a "southern" environment. I like to think these contrasts in my life have helped me learn to adapt and identify with many different types of people. While I value the privilege of being an American, I love what other nationalities contribute to my world. Standing beside my clients and walking with them through their difficult times is one of my greatest joys.

I work with children and families, and I bring creativity, humor, and a down-to-earth approach into every session. Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating sometimes it looks like play, laughter, art supplies on the floor, or learning new ways to connect in the middle of everyday chaos. I’m especially I take a child-centered, relationship-first approach to therapy. I believe real growth happens when children feel safe, understood, and accepted not judged or “fixed.” I meet each child and family exactly where they are, adjusting expectations to fit their developmental and emotional needs while building on their unique strengths. My work is neurodiversity- If you’re looking for a therapist who gets your child’s unique needs and knows that change doesn’t have to be boring or stressful, you’re in the right place! If you’re feeling overwhelmed, mentally unsteady, or unsure how to move forward — you don’t have to carry that alone. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduate of North Carolina State University. I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship stress, and questions of direction or purpose. Many of the people I support feel capable and motivated — yet internally worn down, struggling to feel grounded, present, or confident in themselves. My primary focus is helping clients stabilize emotionally and mentally — so you feel more anchored, regulated, and clear. From that place of steadiness, we begin to explore how you can grow into the fullest version of yourself, making the most of your strengths, values, and lived experience rather than trying to become someone you’re not. Therapy with me is not about pushing or fixing — it’s about creating a solid foundation where clarity, confidence, and meaningful change can naturally emerge. For those who find meaning and strength in their Christian faith, I welcome that as part of our work together — though spirituality is never required or assumed. You bring what matters to you, and we build from there.

My name is Bethany Gravely. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2018. I continue to feel the same passion for my job now as I did when I first started. I am so proud of you for taking the first step to talk about your mental health. Choosing the right therapist can be a rewarding experience, but also scary. It is my job to help you navigate the stressors of life and explore different ways for you to cope with them. We all experience stress on some level so your feelings are valid and worth discussing with someone who truly cares! My style of counseling allows for you to be in charge of your therapy. If you want helpful reading material, evidenced based practices, solutions or just a listening ear, my goal is to help you with where you are today. You are not a burden. You are not undeserving. You are not broken, or a mess to be cleaned up. You are so endlessly enough. When I’m not working, I am spending time with my husband, our two little ones, our 3 dogs, and our cat. We just recently bought a 40 acre farm and spend our free time making it our forever home! We are hopeful to bring in larger farm animals in the upcoming years and learn to homestead!

I've been working in mental health for 15 years, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, Ohio, and Georgia. Most of what I do centers around anxiety, ADHD, autism, trauma, and PTSD — but I work with people dealing with a lot of different things, and I'm not going to tell you your situation doesn't qualify. I see kids, teens, adults, couples, and families, so if you're looking for someone who can work with your family across different ages, that's something I can do. I'm a Certified Trauma Specialist and trained in integrative mental health, which means I bring more tools to the table than just talk therapy. I'm neurodivergence-affirming and work with people across a wide range of identities and communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals and single parents. A lot of my clients have been carrying something for a long time before they finally reach out — that's more common than you'd think, and it's never too late to start.

I have been working in the helping professions for over 15 years. Having seen how trauma can affect so many of us, I focused on learning ways to help others get through the trauma and live healthy, fulfilled and value based lives. I am here to help you on your journey to finding your own Inner Sun. I use a blend of brain and body based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My primary modality is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy), based on the Adaptive Information Processing model. Neuroscience and studies on Neuroplasticity are baring out that the mind can heal itself. Old pathways and negative memories can be updated with new adaptive information. EMDR uses eye movements and other forms of physical tapping and Bi-Lateral stimulation to help the brain process old stuck memories and trauma. Not just for Big Trauma's like car accidents, it can help with many issues from the past, present and perceived future concerns including PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety and more specific issues such as religious abuse, shame, guilt and pain management.

I’m a therapist who works with teens (13–17) and adults (18+) who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck in their heads, or just tired of holding everything together on their own. A lot of the people I work with look like they’re doing “fine” on the outside, but inside they’re dealing with anxiety, stress, low mood, or feeling like they’re falling behind in school, work, relationships, or life in general. In therapy, I offer a space where you don’t have to filter yourself or pretend you’re okay. Together, we focus on making sense of what you’re feeling, finding practical ways to cope, and helping you feel more grounded and in control of your day-to-day life. The goal is simple: to help you feel more like yourself again, with tools that actually fit your real life.

Welcome! I came to this work a little differently than some. After spending 16 years in my first career, I found myself sitting across from a therapist for the first time. That experience changed my life. It gave me not only a new perspective on myself but also a deep desire to help others in the same way. So, I made a big leap: I went back to school to become a therapist myself. Since then, it’s been over two decades of meaningful, often humbling work. I spent 21 years in community-based mental health and substance abuse treatment, and I was fortunate to serve as a contracted therapy provider for the Department of Defense—work that gave me a profound respect for the strength and resilience of those who serve. I’ve also worked in private group practice and provided therapy in intensive outpatient programs in Canada, gaining experience with a wide range of individuals and challenges along the way. In November 2021, I opened my own private practice. It’s been an incredible privilege to support individuals and couples in this more personal setting, and I truly value the relationships I build with each client. If you’re considering therapy, I want you to know you're not alone—and change really is possible.
