You may understand why you do what you do, but still feel unsure how to change it.
In our work together, I focus on helping you connect the dots between your past experiences, current patterns, and the goals you have for your life. Through a collaborative and supportive process, we build both insight and practical tools so you can feel more grounded, confident, and in control. Over time, this work often leads to healthier relationships, improved emotional balance, and a stronger sense of self.

Hi, I’m Lianet, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should feel like a space where you can be completely yourself, without judgment or pressure.
I work with adults who may be struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, self-doubt, or difficult life transitions. You may look like you have everything together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted on the inside.
Together, we’ll work to understand what’s keeping you stuck, develop practical tools to manage difficult emotions, strengthen your confidence and boundaries, and create meaningful changes in your life. My approach is warm, honest, collaborative, and supportive with compassion and accountability.
I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and tailor treatment to your individual needs, goals, and experiences
I am a mental health counselor with 15 years of experience working as an individual and group therapist. My counseling style is warm, interactive, and collaborative. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution focused treatment approach. I work with adults who are going through a variety of life challenges and transitions.
I believe therapy works best when it feels less like a clinical appointment and more like a conversation with someone who's genuinely listening — really listening, not just waiting for their turn to speak. That's the space I try to create in every session: one where you can be honest without feeling judged, and where you leave feeling a little lighter than when you walked in.
Many of my clients tell me they felt comfortable opening up right away, even in their very first session. That's not an accident — I take the time to understand where you actually are in your life before jumping to solutions. Whether you're navigating a major life transition, working through anxiety or depression, or just feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward, my goal is to help you see your situation more clearly and find a path that actually fits your life.
I use an integrative approach — drawing on humanistic, solution-focused, and behavioral techniques — but the tools matter less than the relationship. I want you to feel heard, supported, and a little more hopeful after every conversation we have.
I have over 18 years of experience in counseling adolescents and adults of all ages, and although I know that starting therapy may seem difficult, I am hoping that through my practice you can feel at ease to express yourself in a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment. I hope you give therapy with me a chance!
Throughout my career in counseling I have worked in private practice, in community mental health settings, and supervised counseling interns at George Washington University. As a bilingual therapist fully fluent in English and Spanish, I can hold sessions in either language. Having studied at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina, at Virginia Tech and at George Mason University, I have always tried to be inclusive in my work with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, ethnicity, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
Through our working relationship I am hoping to address your counseling goals whether they are to process your past, discover yourself, feel better, adjust to life's transitions, improve your relationships, grieve the loss of a loved one, or find balance in your life at a time of need. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Brief-Solution Oriented, Strength-Based and Structural/Strategic Couple's Therapy strategies. Through any of those approaches, I am here to work with you on meeting the goals that bring you to therapy.
Your mental health is incredibly important and NOW is it time?
Time to break Free from feeling stuck? I believe in trauma-informed, inclusive therapy that meets you where you are.
Are past trauma, shame, or constant family and relational stress leaving you feeling weighed down? Whether you are managing anxiety, navigating depression, or wondering if you might have ADHD or Autism, finding the right support can feel overwhelming—especially if therapy in the past hasn't felt effective.

Welcome!
I came to this work a little differently than some. After spending 16 years in my first career, I found myself sitting across from a therapist for the first time. That experience changed my life. It gave me not only a new perspective on myself but also a deep desire to help others in the same way. So, I made a big leap: I went back to school to become a therapist myself.
Since then, it’s been over two decades of meaningful, often humbling work. I spent 21 years in community-based mental health and substance abuse treatment, and I was fortunate to serve as a contracted therapy provider for the Department of Defense—work that gave me a profound respect for the strength and resilience of those who serve. I’ve also worked in private group practice and provided therapy in intensive outpatient programs in Canada, gaining experience with a wide range of individuals and challenges along the way.
In November 2021, I opened my own private practice. It’s been an incredible privilege to support individuals and couples in this more personal setting, and I truly value the relationships I build with each client. If you’re considering therapy, I want you to know you're not alone—and change really is possible.

I believe therapy should feel real— not clinical, not awkward, and not a place where you have to filter yourself. It should feel like a genuine conversation, not like you’re being analyzed or focused on trying to say the “right” thing.
With over 15 years of experience, I help clients navigate stress, emotions, and life’s challenges in a supportive, honest, and judgment-free space. I’m not a sit-back-and-nod therapist, I meet you where you are and gently challenge when it’s helpful.
I know what it’s like to do the work on both sides of the room, so I understand firsthand how challenging, and rewarding, this process can be. Together, we’ll build clarity and a deeper understanding of yourself, so you can move forward with confidence. In this space, you get to be fully yourself—laughing, venting, crying, swearing, or whatever feels real—without judgment.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, mentally unsteady, or unsure how to move forward — you don’t have to carry that alone.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduate of North Carolina State University. I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship stress, and questions of direction or purpose. Many of the people I support feel capable and motivated — yet internally worn down, struggling to feel grounded, present, or confident in themselves.
My primary focus is helping clients stabilize emotionally and mentally — so you feel more anchored, regulated, and clear. From that place of steadiness, we begin to explore how you can grow into the fullest version of yourself, making the most of your strengths, values, and lived experience rather than trying to become someone you’re not.
Therapy with me is not about pushing or fixing — it’s about creating a solid foundation where clarity, confidence, and meaningful change can naturally emerge. For those who find meaning and strength in their Christian faith, I welcome that as part of our work together — though spirituality is never required or assumed. You bring what matters to you, and we build from there.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Virginia. I received my graduate training at Smith College School for Social Work in a clinically focused program. I will be your skilled responsive partner. We will hold space for difficult and joyous moments. Let's journey together as you gain insight and build a life that works better for you. My therapeutic approach is attuned, responsive, person-centered and culturally aware. I strive to build a trusting empathic connection that fosters safety and authenticity. I have worked with persons presenting with a wide range of issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, adjustment challenges, stress reactions, and male abuse survivors.
You can come back from anything no matter how bad you think the situation is. It is all about your mindset. Reprogramming your mindset is the key to your success. The power of change rest in your desire to want change. I believe that people have the power to change their circumstances within themselves by changing their thought pattern first. Reprogramming your mindset is the key to your success.

Communication is key-let's talk about it.
Remember overall health includes mental health.
You don't have to face this alone. Are you feeling overwhelmed by grief, anxiety, or the weight of past trauma? Do you find yourself stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, longing for peace and clarity? Maybe you're navigating the loss of a loved one, the challenges of new motherhood, or the complexities of a relationship. What would it feel like to be truly seen, supported, and understood? You don’t have to go through this alone. With compassion and evidence-based care, I’ll walk beside you as you work toward healing, resilience, & emotional wellness. Are you ready to take that first step?
Welcome, I'm glad you are here!
I'm Aline and I empower you to reconnect with your authentic self, and achieve your goals in counseling. I believe you already possess within you the capacity and resources to resolve your own issues and just need the support in therapy to tap into your strengths to enhance your mental wellness.
My goal is to provide a safe therapeutic environment for exploration, understanding of current unhelpful patterns, collaborative problem solving, and building of skills that foster growth.
You keep seeing everyone posting about being their best self, and showing up for themselves. Meanwhile you are just trying to be. Whatever that be, may be for the day. I believe that in order to be your best self, you must be authentic. What does that even look like? You must be true to what you’ve endured, the things that you have overcome…the good, the bad, and even the ugly moments. I help women to embrace them all. Then we take it a step further and look at building you up as a WHOLE. So your best self starts with where you are today and then we create a plan on where you want to be and who you want to become.

I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to support clients in understanding patterns, developing effective coping skills, and creating lasting change.
I am committed to providing a compassionate and collaborative space where clients feel supported and empowered. I work with individuals facing life transitions, addiction, sexual dysfunction, eating disorders, emotional distress, and a wide range of life challenges. My goal is to help clients face obstacles with greater confidence, resilience, and self-compassion.
