My approach is warm, supportive, and practical, with a focus on helping clients feel understood while learning tools that can create meaningful change in their daily lives. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each client’s unique needs, helping them build healthy coping skills, increase self-awareness, and move toward the version of themselves they want to become. I believe therapy should feel empowering, authentic, and supportive as clients learn to heal, grow, and thrive.
In my time providing service, I have had the pleasure of working with a broad range of good people who have identified issues that are not in alignment with their good nature. I am a family man that can relate to roles in relationship/family. I am a friend that desires to act as your support system. Reaching out for help shows strength and resilience, and my goal is to work with you as a partner in your healing to make sure those qualities help you move forward. Whether you are struggling with making sense of the past, worries about the future, or feeling settled in your current life, I will work with you to set concrete goals, identify barriers, and create meaning and purpose in your life. Hi, I'm Karlie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, and personal growth concerns. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered to explore challenges, build coping skills, and create meaningful change in your life. I believe that while our past experiences shape us, they do not define our future. Together, we can work toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and emotional well-being. My professional background includes experience in Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) settings, providing care to individuals facing a variety of mental health concerns. I am committed to helping clients navigate life's challenges and move toward their goals with confidence and support.
For many years, I worked as a retail manager, where I gained valuable insight into human behavior, conflict resolution, and the importance of mentoring others through life's challenges. Those experiences taught me that every person has a unique story, and with the right support and perspective, they can discover the strength and wisdom they already possess. I approach each person with honesty, compassion, an open mind, and a willingness to think outside the box. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, I believe in helping people uncover the answers that align with their own journey, empowering them to recognize their strengths and make meaningful connections that foster growth and healing. My role is to walk alongside you as you navigate life's questions and challenges. Drawing from both my professional background and my own lived experiences, I strive to provide guidance, encouragement, and a safe space where you can gain clarity, build confidence, and move forward with purpose.
I describe myself as a grounded, authentic, and collaborative therapist who balances a warm heart with a highly practical, real world approach to healing. I’m not the type to just sit back and nod silently; I am right there in the trenches with you, bringing my genuine, slightly nerdy self to every session, and I believe everyone has an inner resilience waiting to be unlocked!
My life is full, beautifully chaotic, and deeply rewarding. As a spouse and a mother of four, including a wonderful child who is autistic, I intimately understand what it feels like to manage a million moving parts. I know the exhaustion of a racing mind, the weight of sensory and emotional overload, and the delicate art of balancing family, transitions, and personal growth. Because of these lived experiences, I bring a deeply human, judgment-free perspective to my practice.
In sessions, we will use evidence-based tools like CBT and DBT to actively build a practical toolkit for your daily life. We will work as a team to quiet the internal noise, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and master concrete skills to regulate intense emotions.
For clients who desire it, I gladly incorporate a Christ-centered approach, utilizing scripture and prayer as an anchor for our clinical work. However, if you are currently facing a painful crisis of faith or spiritual burnout, I offer a safe harbor to process those doubts without a shred of judgment.
Ultimately, I meet you exactly where you are. My goal is to help you calm the chaos, break through emotional blocks, and reclaim your peace.
