I offer multiple modalities grounded in Christian therapy. The Christian-based approach uses the Bible as the authoritative and infallible Word of God to man. As such, it may be understood as the "how to" manual for the human mind. I have been a dedicated and compassionate advocate for clients with moderate to advanced therapy needs for several years and try to approach each client with compassion and respect. Throughout the years I have gained useful experience working with a wide range of population, while developing a speciality area in the treatment of women’s issues and challenges. We will work together to build a treatment plan that encourages your success.

Hello, I’m Dennis Alvarez, PsyD.
I believe counseling should both encourage and thoughtfully challenge individuals to move toward their fullest potential by addressing the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of their lives. I hold a Doctorate in Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a licensed psychotherapist with experience across hospital, treatment, and private-practice settings.
Throughout my career, I have provided individual and group therapy as well as comprehensive psychological assessments to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relational distress, substance-use concerns, and life-transition stressors. My clinical background includes work in hospitals, substance-use treatment programs, and outpatient private practice, where I integrate evidence-based approaches within a holistic, person-centered framework.
I am also the author of When Heaven Was Silent: Integrating Psychology and Theology in the Garden of Gethsemane, which explores the experience of mental suffering through both clinical and historical perspectives. My doctoral dissertation focused on trauma and psychological adaptation, further shaping my approach to helping individuals understand their internal patterns, build resilience, and restore a sense of meaning and purpose.
In my work with clients, I emphasize helping people understand how and why certain thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns develop, particularly in the context of anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-use histories. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment while also encouraging insight, personal responsibility, and growth. My goal is to help you move toward a more grounded, authentic, and meaningful life.

I am a licensed independent practice-level clinical social worker. I have a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work DCSW. I have dedicated my career to working in behavioral health treatment. I have worked within the Department of Defense Schools in Europe and Asia. I have worked with Active Duty members, Veterans and their families. Prior to joining the Civil Service, I practiced mental health within the civilian community, my focus there was substance abuse, domestic violence and and a variety of mental health issues working with adolescents and adults. BLUF: There is nothing I haven't seen. My strongest ability lies in helping a client identify strengths and weaknesses while guiding them to identify goals and interventions that will work specifically for them. The most challenging part of therapy is believing it will make a difference. The best way to overcome that hurdle is to see successful outcomes.
Clinical experience has taught me that if you are willing to do the work, you will see results. Using the appropriate interventions, combined with mutual openness, respect and trust will enable you to overcome obstacles and achieve goals you didn't believe possible. Through years of dedicated work with all age groups, life experiences and extremely challenging circumstances, I have developed a strong sense of commitment in creating a safe and supportive environment that fosters healing, self-awareness and growth.
My name is Elvira Aleman Vaughan. I am a counselor whose focus is helping people who have experienced ongoing trauma. I am a Christian, so I approach healing from this worldview. If you prefer talk therapy I'll use CBT to help you get to the root of the issue. But if you are open to trying a proven technique that is less conventional and yields quicker results, I will use EMDR to help you heal and move forward.
I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Texas. I possess a Master's degree from the Smith College School for Social Work in Northampton, Massachusetts, and have been actively practicing for over three decades. My expertise lies in ADHD, and through a multidisciplinary team approach and effective treatment plans, clients and their families experience significant progress. I have a special interest in working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma and impaired coping skills.

Hi, I’m Sandy Crisp. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and I help adults and teens who are facing challenges like complex trauma, PTSD, addiction and recovery, chronic health issues, anxiety, depression, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
Before I became a trauma therapist, I went through my own journey that included multiple surgeries and years of rehabilitation. That experience gave me a deep understanding of what it’s like to live with invisible pain -- physical and emotional -- and how hard it can be to feel seen and supported while you're trying to hold everything together. It changed how I listen, how I connect, and how I support people in their healing.
In addition to being an LPC, I’m a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist. I specialize in:
• Complex trauma and PTSD
• Addiction, substance use, and recovery support
• Chronic pain and chronic illness
• Anxiety, panic, and mood disorders
• Grief, loss, and adjustment to life changes
• Co-occurring disorders
• Disability Affirming Care
• Limb Loss Support
• Navigating identity, self-worth, and personal growth
My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I blend clinical tools with a human touch because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. Whether you're navigating something recent or something that's been with you a long time, we’ll work together to help you feel safer in your body, clearer in your mind, and more connected to yourself.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-S)-Supervisor, with extensive experience supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. My work is grounded in compassion, honesty, and collaboration.
I believe therapy should feel both safe and purposeful. I bring a warm, down-to-earth approach while helping clients gain insight, build emotional regulation skills, and move toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels realistic and respectful.

One way or another, I want to help you.
I am passionate about helping clients of all ages have fulfilling lives. I help individuals, couples, and families who are seeking a little or a lot of help. I empower those who have no voice. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. I collaborate with you to put together a treatment plan. We'll use a whole-self approach, addressing your needs for mind, body and spirit. I use worksheets (sometimes if you like them!).
Whether you're dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues, addictions, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English. I have 10+ years of experience working with children and adults providing individual and family counseling, including extensive experience providing trauma-informed care with immigrant families and youth involved with the foster care and juvenile justice systems. I will strive to instill hope by empowering clients to discover and build on their own strengths. I believe therapy can help individuals navigate through difficulties so it doesn't feel like we are doing it alone. Come with me to the journey of introspection and we will find healing in the end.
Are you seeking a therapist who offers a safe and compassionate space for exploring your thoughts, feelings, and emotions? Hello, I am Kendra Aristide, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. I have over twenty years of combined work experience in the judicial mental counseling setting and education public school setting as a former elementary classroom teacher and school counselor. Additionally, I worked in group homes and hospices as a licensed social worker.
I focus on collaboration, and empathy, and provide a non-judgmental attitude. Together we will explore your thoughts, emotions and obstacles and adapt the therapeutic tools for addressing and processing your specific needs. Hello there! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Texas. I have been practicing for over 15 years. I help individuals, couples, and families understand what information their thoughts, feelings, and emotions are informing them about so that I can support and empower them to become the best versions of themselves. This is done through practical and realistic strategies that integrate into their lives.
I help people with OCD, OCD-related conditions (e.g., dermatillomania, trichotillomania, hoarding, emetophobia, tics), anxiety, panic, phobias, and health anxiety get their lives back — especially when worry has started living in the body, not just the mind.
I'm a licensed professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, and chemical dependency counselor in Texas, with a post-doctorate from Harvard Medical School in clinical research, and a master's in clinical counseling psychology and pediatric mental health from Northwestern University. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine from Southwest College of Medicine (NMD/AZ). I've spent 18 years in mental health, in hospital-based care and private practice, working with adults, teens, and children.
My specialty is exposure-based therapy — ERP for OCD and habit reversal (HRT) for OCD-related conditions like hair pulling, skin picking, hoarding, tics, and emetophobia. If every heartbeat, ache, or test result sends you spiraling, you won't have to explain the medical side to me. I already speak it.
When life feels overwhelming, you don’t have to go through it alone.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed to practice in both Texas and Louisiana with over a decade of experience helping children, teens, adults, couples, and families manage anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, relationship stress, and major life transitions. I also specialize in women’s mental health, including prenatal and postpartum support, and I have experience supporting veterans, military service members, and their families as they cope with stress, trauma, and the emotional impact of military life.
I work with clients who are experiencing:
Constantly anxious or on edge.
Emotionally exhausted or burned out.
Struggling with pregnancy or postpartum changes.
Experiencing relationship or communication challenges.
Adjusting to aging, caregiving, retirement, or loss.
Overwhelmed by life changes, grief, or stress.
Or, in the case of children and teens, having big emotions, worry, behavior changes, or difficulty expressing what they’re feeling.
I provide a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe being honest about what you’re going through. Together, we work to understand what’s driving your distress and build practical tools to help you feel more in control, grounded, and emotionally balanced.
I use evidence-based approaches to help reduce anxiety, improve mood, strengthen relationships, and help both adults and children better understand and cope with their emotions in healthy, supportive ways.
You deserve support that feels safe, respectful, and empowering.
When you’re ready, I’m here to walk alongside you toward clarity, stability, and healing.

Do you wake up worried about the day ahead before you even get out of bed? At work, are you scared of making mistakes, feeling like everyone’s waiting for you to mess up? When friends invite you out, do you say “yes” but feel nervous inside? At home, instead of relaxing, do you replay awkward moments, wondering what others think of you? I’m here to help you find relief and reclaim your sense of calm and control.
Mrs. Whiteside has worked in various mental health settings maintaining her unwavering focus on mothers and small children. As a perinatal psychotherapist, Mrs. Whiteside works with mothers and/or families who are struggling with perinatal mental illness during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Mrs. Whiteside is currently a social work doctoral student at The University of Louisville researching the impact of perinatal mood disorders, as evidence indicates that depression and other mood disorders in parents can have a harmful impact on children, including cognitive difficulties, insecure attachment, and behavioral problems.
At the Child & Adult Behavior Center, we help both adults and children, as well as parents.
For adults, we help you find ways to cope with stress, anxiety, loss and depression. Not only talking through and understanding, but also concrete "what to do about it" coping skills, lead to calmer, more stable emotions and relationships. We find cognitive behavioral therapy very useful, and within that, learning the skills of mindfulness, a form of in-the-moment meditative thinking, to calm and focus the mind when emotions overtake. This fosters a new way of viewing and handling stressful situations as they arise.
For children's therapy, we work with you, and with your child. Parents' feedback is a critical part of helping children feel and do better. We help you with parent-child interactions to find your way as you navigate the seas of child behavior. Our specializations are the treatment for Aspergers/autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, emotional self regulation, the behavioral and emotional aspects of sensory issues, anxiety and depression. Our special programs also treat a wide range of neuroatypical, developmentally challenged children. Neuro-typical parent-child relationships, family relations, and parenting issues for all children and teens are also our focus. We help - you help your child - with ideas and techniques to put into action. Ideas that can greatly reduce the stress and storm of being a parent in the trenches. Peace in the home is possible!
