Hello. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with 25+ years of experience across a wide range of clientele and environments. My Masters degree was earned at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. As a counselor I will be your biggest cheerleader while at the same time sharing honest observations how patterns in your life influence you in both positive and negative ways.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will work to build the foundational relationship that will allow us to work towards addressing the concerns that brought you to therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with clients from all walks of life and all ages, my biggest strength is my ability to utilize my humor as we work to learn new skills to help you gain a more personally pleasant quality of life. Improving communication, recognizing the initial signs that your mood is changing and learning how to accept them without marinading in them.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

We will work together in recognizing all of our experiences, both good and bad, are woven together in the tapestry of our lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our thoughts and actions are so intertwined that we really think then reaction. By working together, we will practice new behaviors or actions into that behavior chain to see what the new outcome is.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

By learning to stay more grounded in the moment we are more able to not expect good. Not expect bad. We go into a moment or situation and expect that situation to unfold as it does without our predetermined expectations pushing it one direction or another.
