My name is Brittney and I live here in Texas. I grew up in Texas and have lived her my entire life. I began my journey as a therapist in 2016 and love what I do. I work with pre-teens, teens, college students and all age range adults. We all go through difficult times in life and can find ourselves in the need for extra support. While we may experience similarities in what we go through, the way it affects us and the way we work through struggles can look very different from person to person. I want to be able to support you alongside your journey in the way that fits you best. I am trained in several different approaches, and have found that once size does not fit all. My focus is on you as the client, because you know yourself best. Through getting to know you, we can collaboratively work together to establish goals to work towards along the way.

Therapy with me is taking a journey through the labyrinth of your mind. It's a journey into who you are, or think you are, and why. It's narrating your stories through the use of a metaphysical philosophy of Epistemology, which is the study of Knowledge. Your subconscious and Shadow, the stories you tell yourself and where they came from. Mindfully exploring if what you see is Reality or just perception. It's family of origin, a examining the stories through a cognitive behavior eye-why you are the way you are, and what to do about it. How to interact from a place of authenticity without letting outside judgements play games with your stories.

Hello Friend and WELCOME to my practice Pragmatic Solutions Therapy, PLLC! My name is Monica. I am an experienced psychotherapist with 20 plus years of experienced. I've worked in private practice and/or clinical hospital settings and now own my own thriving practice. I have passion, dedication and ethical standards I uphold with every client. My basic mantra in life is simple: Drop the baggage and take the value. Step out of the box and if you can't change the problem, then change the way you see using a different perspective. Everyone at one point or another in life may experience a host of unbearable stressors that leaves one feeling stressed or 'out of sorts'. We may even describe that feeling as 'lost in a web of frustration', with feelings such as anxious, fatigue, sadness. As if our unique threshold is completely depleted. Feeling anxious is normal. Feeling stressed is actually a sense of determination to gain back control and that tiredness is only temporary. Anxiousness is innate in all of us. What's not healthy is when stressors crosses the threshold to what feels comfortable, interrupts our daily habits/responsibilities to 'fix things'; find ourselves in solitude. I’ll help you navigate the web of confusion to find empowerment. My journey began as a young child whose home was a host of struggles which provided insight into what we all experience. Inspired by a helper, I became a psychotherapist, worked in a clinical setting, garnered a vast amount of knowledge which helped me to specialize in various modalities of treatment. As a psychotherapist, I hold a high standard for myself and clients, which includes helping those dealing w/depression, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, chronic health and other issues. Together, we'll identify what's not working, find solutions you can innately use, form goals without rescripting your life.

You wake up worried about the day ahead before you even get out of bed. At work, you're scared of making mistakes, it feels like everyone's waiting for you to mess up. When friends invite you out, you say “yes” but inside, you're nervous about going. At home, instead of relaxing, you keep thinking about awkward things you said or did, wondering what kind of impression you left on everyone. It feels like your brain won't turn off these thoughts that make you feel not good enough, and it's exhausting. These anxious thoughts are undercutting your confidence and affecting both your professional and personal relationships.

Have you been thinking about starting therapy, but feeling overwhelmed by the process of finding someone who will be easy to talk to and a good fit for your needs? Making a decision to begin counseling can bring hope and relief, and also be scary or intimidating. My desire is to create a safe and comfortable refuge where you can explore and express feelings, identify solutions, and grow in your ability to develop healthy, supportive relationships. I love working with people of any age, including teens and children, and use approaches that have been shown by research to be helpful and effective. I received my B.A. in Psychology from UCLA, and my MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. I loved the focus on science and research in my education, and carry that into my therapy work. Many clients have told me they really benefit from understanding what is actually happening in their brains and bodies, and how to best help the brain heal and function more effectively. Additionally, as a musician and artist, I understand the value of creative, non-verbal methods for healing and growth. Incorporating your spiritual or religious orientation into therapy can be a vital part of the healing process, so I work from a faith-based approach when you desire. I became licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California in 2005 and in Texas in 2006. I have worked in private practice, as well as in a non-profit agency with adults experiencing a wide variety of circumstances and needs. Throughout my time as a therapist, I have considered it a true honor to be part of the journey of my clients, and to offer my expertise and guidance as they grow and thrive.

HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS! That is the key!! With 25 years of experience, much research, studying, and face to face experience living and working all over the world, I realized relationships with yourself and with others can make or break our contentment in life! But there are skills to learn to make it happen, skills such as self-awareness, ability to pay attention to the world around us and our own bodies (mindfulness), learning to grieve and let go while embracing change, learning the characteristics of a healthy relationship with others and with ourselves, and accessing our strengths while focusing on the beauty in life. I'd love to walk with you through this process to restore hope.

I’m Micheal Franklin, and my journey into therapy began in a blue-collar family where my relatives worked in textile mills, battery plants, and furniture factories. Growing up, I aspired to carve a different path, aiming to be the first in my family to earn a college degree. I graduated from Western Piedmont Community College in Drug and Alcohol Technology and earned an Associate in Arts in 1996. I then continued my education at Gardner-Webb University, obtaining my Bachelor’s in Science in Human Services. Recognizing that the job market wouldn’t provide enough financial stability, I joined the Marines in 1998. During my service, I got married and welcomed a baby boy, which motivated me to seek part-time work with troubled adolescents and teens facing addiction issues. After leaving the Marines in 2003, I worked in a group home for adolescents and later became a Prevention Supervisor for adolescent substance use treatment. I also served as the lead treatment therapist for a Men's Intensive Outpatient Program at the Cognitive Connection in Hickory, NC. My passion for helping others led me to teach parenting classes and collaborate with Child Protective Services. I pursued my Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of West Florida while gaining experience in Community Mental Health. I also worked in a drug court program for two years. Since becoming licensed in 2014, I have dedicated my career to supporting clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, personality disorders, and life transitions.

San Diego, CA - Accepting clients in TX

Hello, I'm Tammy Brooks, a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with over 25 years experience in the mental health field. I began offering online virtual therapy in California, Michigan, Missouri, and Texas in 2021 helping people who are struggling with anxiety or fear that keep them feeling stuck or hopeless. As your online therapist, I provide individual therapy so that you can begin to grow and conquer those challenges that are keeping you stuck. Imagine how different those challenges will begin to look once you begin embracing positive changes in your life. I am here to help in that discovery that there is joy and hope for a better tomorrow! By using a Solution Focused Therapy approach, I hope to ask just the right question as we work collaboratively to find coping strategies so you will leave therapy thinking, “I got this!” or “I have done this before and got through it; and I will get through it again.” In our online therapy sessions, we will focus on the solutions not the just rehashing all the problems which I know you are all too familiar. I know you are seeking therapy to feel better, so let's get you there as quickly as possible! I use solution focused brief therapy questions to learn more about you, the goals for therapy, dreams, and your "best hopes." In turn answering these questions, gives you a chance to reflect, discover, and recognize your own strengths. You may even begin to remember coping skills used in the past or even ones you've considered but have been too scared to try.

Kalispell, MT - Accepting clients in TX

I feel that clients shouldn't have to be in therapy forever! While co-creating this process with you, I strive to balance my active listening with imparting active, hands-on techniques to help you reclaim your narrative and overcome obstacles in your path. I feel it's about more water rather than less soda, so to speak, and take both a clinical and holistic approach to helping you enhance alignment and experience deeper fulfillment in your journey. Along with my LCSW, I am trained in EMDR, certified in Theta Healing, Reiki, Transformational Life Coaching, and Therapeutic Touch, and Master Practitioner certified in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, and Time Line Therapy. I feel I provide a safe space where shame and judgements are left at the door, and we will explore your wants, needs, and feelings with curiosity and compassion. I feel it's very much a co-created process, as you know more about you than I ever will. The work is also far more about our uncovering your truth than you adopting mine. With that said, I have a wide array of modalities and approaches I feel I have quite dialed in, and we can collaboratively determine which tools and approaches best suit your needs. My hope is that our work together will help you feel not only hear and validated, but also empowered and aware of how to eat the elephant on your own going forward. I see this work as us walking side by side, with you gradually taking the lead with me supportively in your corner. If you have something pressing you wish to discuss in session, that will always take precedence. My job is ultimately to actively listen and hold space. With that said, if that's all I was doing, you'd inevitably say, "Robby, you're a nice guy. But I don't know how much we're actually getting done." To that end, I feel it's far more important to determine HOW you think rather than WHAT you think. So it tends to be important for us to explore unconscious limiting beliefs and emotions along with the conscious. You can also expect to learn clear and concise action steps (ranging from mindfulness exercises to creative writing prompts to holistic practices like meditation and breathwork) to help you regulate your emotions and reclaim your narrative. I feel that many people are hesitant to engage in therapy because they perceive a stigma tied to seeking support. After all, the notion of "mentally ill" does have a negative connotation. The way I see it, though the process is not about fixing a broken thing, but rather enhancing one's alignment and fulfillment (and okay, yes, also confronting obstacles to those pieces). But if the focus is on "Where am I trying to get to and how will I know that I got there?" where our work is to simply close the gap between here and there, it can help us leave shame and judgements at the door, and perhaps even enable you to look forward to increased awareness and empowerment in your journey forward.
