Hi! I'm a licensed counselor in Florida (LMHC), Texas (LPC-Supervisor), and Utah (LCMHC). With over a decade of experience, my journey in mental health began with a passion for helping individuals overcome life's challenges and achieve their fullest potential. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to continuous learning and professional development. I have specialized training in trauma-informed therapies, which allows me to provide compassionate and effective support to clients who have experienced trauma. Understanding the profound impact trauma can have on an individual's life, I am committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where clients can explore their experiences and find healing. In addition to my work with individuals, I have a deep commitment to helping couples strengthen their relationships. I am trained in the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to couples therapy that focuses on building strong, healthy relationships. Using this method, I assist couples in navigating and healing from betrayals, enhancing their communication, and fostering a deeper connection. Witnessing couples transform their relationships and rediscover trust and intimacy is incredibly rewarding. Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about self-care and mindfulness. I often incorporate these practices into my therapy sessions, empowering clients to develop their own self-care routines. I believe that a holistic approach to mental health, which includes attention to physical, emotional, and mental well-being, is essential for achieving lasting positive change. Whether working with individuals or couples, my goal is to help my clients build resilience, find balance, and lead fulfilling lives. By providing a supportive and empathetic space, I strive to guide my clients on their journey towards healing and personal growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

**For Individuals:** In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introductions to get to know each other. Then, we’ll dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. This initial conversation helps me understand your current situation, your goals for therapy, and any past experiences that might be relevant to our work together. My approach is highly collaborative and client-centered, meaning that we’ll work together to create a plan that feels right for you. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you in discovering and implementing the changes you want to see. During our session, I’ll ask for your input and feedback to ensure that our work aligns with your needs and preferences. Based on our discussion, we’ll begin to develop a tailored plan for our follow-up sessions. This plan will be designed to address your unique needs and help you achieve your goals. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, or other challenges, our sessions will be focused on providing you with the tools and strategies you need to move forward. Throughout our work together, you can expect a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and understood. I’m here to help you navigate your journey, providing guidance and encouragement every step of the way. Together, we’ll work towards creating a life that feels balanced, fulfilling, and true to who you are. **For Couples:** In your first session together, you and your partner will begin by sharing the reasons for coming into therapy as well as the history of your relationship from its very beginning. This initial conversation helps me understand the dynamics of your relationship and the challenges you’re facing. It’s an opportunity for both of you to express your perspectives and set the stage for our work together. Following this session, each of you will have two individual sessions with me. During these sessions, we’ll dive deeper into each person’s perspective and personal history. This allows me to gain a comprehensive understanding of both partners, their individual experiences, and how these experiences impact the relationship. In between these sessions, you’ll be given a very robust assessment from the Gottman Institute to complete. This assessment is designed to provide detailed insights into your relationship dynamics, strengths, and areas that need improvement. At our next session, we’ll review the results of the assessment together. Thi

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, I believe my greatest strengths lie in my comprehensive experience, unique background, and the deeply empathetic, affirming approach I bring to every session. Over more than a decade of practice, I have specialized in trauma-informed therapies and the Gottman Method for couples therapy, helping clients navigate some of life’s most challenging experiences. One of my key strengths is my ability to work effectively with couples. Using the Gottman Method, I guide couples through a structured, evidence-based process to enhance communication, rebuild trust, and foster deeper connection. My clients appreciate the thorough and personalized approach I take, starting with a detailed assessment and developing a tailored blueprint for their relationship therapy. This method not only addresses current issues but also equips couples with tools for long-term relationship health. In my work with individuals, particularly those who have experienced trauma, I provide a compassionate and supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their past and heal. My training in trauma-informed care allows me to understand the complex impacts of trauma on mental health and relationships, and to tailor my approach to each client's unique needs. This specialized knowledge, combined with a client-centered and collaborative approach, helps clients feel empowered and supported throughout their healing journey. I am also experienced in working with clergy and faith leaders, as well as other counselors. These clients often face unique challenges related to their roles, including burnout, spiritual crises, and the emotional demands of supporting others. My understanding of these pressures allows me to provide tailored support that respects their experiences and helps them navigate their personal and professional lives. What makes me particularly effective in my work is my non-judgmental and affirming approach. I strive to create a space where clients feel truly heard and understood, free from judgment. This approach is fundamental to building trust and fostering a therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions. Being biracial and ethnic myself, I bring a deep cultural competence to my practice. I understand the importance of considering cultural context in therapy and am sensitive to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of my clients. This cultural competence ensures that my approach is inclusive and respectful of each

My treatment methods

Gottman method

As a couples therapist specializing in the Gottman Method, I work with clients facing challenges such as betrayal, communication issues, and feelings of disconnection within their relationships. In our initial sessions, we will thoroughly explore the issues at hand, utilizing research-based techniques to understand and address the root causes. Together, we will develop a tailored plan to enhance communication, build trust, and foster emotional connection. Many of my clients begin to notice a positive shift in their relationship dynamics within the first month, with continued and sustained improvement over time.
