I have 32 years of experience providing counseling. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, stressing that what we think determines what we feel and what we do. For many reasons, people learn unrealistic or destructive thoughts that cause them problems in their lives. Therapy works towards more realistic thinking, and avoiding old and destructive thinking. As I like to say, "therapy is a conversation with a destination," and realistic thinking is that destination. While I am a Christian, I am not trained as a Christian Counselor. I am a "Counselor who is a Christian." My training is secular, and I regularly see people or all faiths, or none at all. I do not offer court ordered services, nor do I do assessments for custody, or any other legal purpose. Unfortunately, I cannot accept Medicare, or Medicare based plans. The world is changing, and more and more people are reaching out. I am seeing more men that have been in abusive relationships. There are also more people dealing with loss. Coming to my office is not like going to a big mental health clinic where you just another number on a spreadsheet. In my care, you are a person, and you'll be treated like one.

Hi, I’m Kristina. I’m a licensed therapist who takes a relational, trauma-informed approach to healing. My work integrates evidence-based practices—including CBT and mindfulness-based strategies—with thoughtful insight to help clients move out of survival mode and into greater self-trust and stability. I believe therapy should be both practical and transformative. Our sessions are a space to slow down, untangle patterns, and build tools that create meaningful change in your everyday life. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, or relationship challenges, we’ll work collaboratively to understand what’s shaped your story and develop new ways of responding with clarity and confidence. Clients often describe my style as warm, grounded, and direct. I bring compassion and humor into the room while also offering honest feedback and actionable strategies. You can expect to feel supported — and gently challenged — in ways that foster growth. My goal is to help you feel more at home within yourself and empowered to build a life aligned with your values, not your past pain.

Everyone deserves a journey of self-healing and self-discovery. In fact, allowing yourself to blossom is the avenue to experiencing self-love and meaningful connections with others. I have worked in the field of mental health for over 15 years, but started researching and seeking methods of healing since my early teens. I attended the University of California, San Diego, followed by Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, studying Clinical Psychology, Critical Gender Studies, and Transpersonal Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified EFT Practitioner. I have experience assisting individuals with a range of issues including anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, addictions, end of life issues, and issues related to discrimination and marginalization. I am an experienced therapist, supervisor, and group facilitator in various settings. You are exhausted from carrying everything on your own. Your mind never seems to slow down. You replay conversations, second-guess decisions, and worry about things that haven’t even happened yet. You spend so much time taking care of everyone else that you’re not sure when you stopped taking care of yourself. I help people understand what’s keeping them stuck and create a path toward healing. Using EMDR therapy, we work together to process difficult experiences, reduce the emotional weight of the past, and quiet the constant mental noise that keeps you feeling overwhelmed. Rather than talking about what happened, EMDR helps your brain reprocess experiences that may still be affecting how you think, feel, and respond today. Along the way, we’ll build practical tools, healthier boundaries, and greater confidence in navigating life’s challenges. Courtney Pfohlman is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and a Clinical Professional Counselor in Nevada who provides virtual therapy for adults. She is a Clinical Supervisor for student therapists in Nevada. She specializes in trauma, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use concerns, and life transitions, incorporating EMDR therapy when appropriate. Over the past 12 years, she has gained extensive experience working within community mental health agencies serving individuals with co-occurring disorders, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs, and Drug Court-mandated counseling. She has also worked in private practice, conducting clinical assessments and determining client appropriateness for EMDR therapy.

Counseling is a space where you can explore, process, heal and grow. By being vulnerable we can allow ourselves the space to reflect on who we are now and where we have come from. I believe that we deserve a space where we can feel safe, comfortable and free from judgement. In this space, we can take out some of the boxes that are stored away and discover how we can let go of what no longer serves us while creating new ways of being and relating to ourselves, others, and the world around us .

Welcome! I’m Shey, an IFS-informed therapist who wishes to help you navigate the journey from unhealed trauma to meaningful personal growth. We don’t have to wait for a crisis to put on our own “oxygen masks.” I’ve learned the hard way how essential it is to care for ourselves first—nurturing our well-being so we can show up fully in our lives. In my sessions, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for survivors of emotional and psychological abuse. I specialize in supporting women who have experienced difficult marriages and relationships, helping them rebuild their lives. A plan, specific actions and personalized strategies - This is what I give my clients to help them get unstuck, overcome suffering, and fully enjoy the important things in their life. The Bible, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and neuropsychology - The sources of wisdom I use to guide our plans and strategies. When life throws you for a loop, your mind and emotions are overwhelming and don't make sense, and you don't know what to do, you need someone who understands the mind and emotions, and how to tame them. I'm Dr. Matt Bridgman. I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a husband and father, and a clinical psychologist and board certified neuropsychologist. I have a Master's degree in Christian Leadership and a PhD in Clinical Psychology, both from Fuller Theological Seminary. I've been studying the human mind (mood, emotions, behavior, cognition) for over 20 years, through the lenses of God's Word and neuropsychology. I've helped thousands of people with mood/emotion and also cognitive troubles coming from many sources: depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, concussions and traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and numerous other mental health, neurological, and physical health conditions. I've worked in community counseling centers, inpatient psychiatry units, big academic medical centers, small community hospitals, outpatient behavioral health clinics, neurology clinics, inpatient physical rehabilitation units, and VA medical centers. I'm excited now to be helping others through my own private practice. I help my clients not just through empathy and good listening, but through helping them understand their own mind better. I guide them through shaping and training their mind, overcoming suffering, and thriving in the process of it all.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, and I believe that therapy should feel like a safe, judgment-free space where you can be yourself, feel heard and work toward meaningful change. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of therapeutic settings, including school-based behavioral health and outpatient clinics. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to support individuals and families through anxiety, stress, emotional challenges, life transitions, behavioral concerns, relationship difficulties, and other experiences that can make a life feel overwhelming. I work with children ages 6 and older, adolescents, and adults, and I understand that therapy looks different for everyone. With children and teens, I focus on building trust and creating a space where they feel comfortable expressing themselves. I also believe in working collaboratively with parents and caregivers when appropriate, because supporting the while family can be an important part of progress. With adults, I strive to create a genuine and supportive environment where you can slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and develop practical tools to move forward. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, feeling stuck, navigating a major life change, or simply feeling like you need someone in your corner, you don't have to figure everything out on your own. My approach is person centered, compassionate and collaborative. I don't believe there is a one size fits all approach for therapy. I take time to understand who you are, what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope to get from the experience. Together, we can identify goals that feel meaningful to you and work at a pace that feels comfortable. I want my clients to leave sessions feeling heard, understood and supported, while also gaining practical strategies they can use in their everyday lives.

"One step, one step." So, this is a phrase I often say. I use it as a reminder that we will move forward, heal, achieve our goals one step, one moment at a time. If we feel or see ourselves slip back....we reset. We move forward again one step, one step. Wellness has always been a focus in my life's work. My expertise has allowed me to work with individuals from the African Diaspora, immigrant communities, various cultures, military and those diagnosed with chronic illness. I use a holistic approach, integrating modalities such as a Client-Centered approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused and Mindfulness to achieve your goals and build an empowered, stronger and healthier sense of self. I believe that collaborating with you as an individual, learning your strengths, challenges, and identifying key coping skills together we move towards your best strategies for wellness. If you are feeling worried, depressed, scared, anxious, overwhelmed by circumstances in your daily life or new to therapy we can work together to find that balance you need.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Bradley Peters. I am a transplanted Canadian, who has been living in Pennsylvania since 2001, just before 9/11. I have been a therapeutic specialist in the field for over 17 years. Reaching out to a professional can be daunting, but once you do, having that support and learning tools to help change those painful feelings becomes invaluable. My practice is small, isolated and private. I serve adolescents and adults 14 and up. Currently, I am only seeing clients through telehealth, but I am hoping this does not dissuade you. Telehealth may sound impersonal, but in reality, it can be a very convenient, safe and secure way to communicate issues, and I have yet to have any difficulties establishing strong relationships through this medium.

Hi there! I’m Sarah :) Congratulations at taking the first step in reaching out to a counselor. I can understand how difficult it can be for some to make that decision. It can be hard to admit when someone feels like they need additional help in their lives to get things moving in a positive direction. It's important to recognize that this is not a flaw, and that teamwork is sometimes the best solution for an issue. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is very important and that you need to feel comfortable with someone to open up and trust. I would be honored to be a part of your journey to help you find your desired goals.

I help men and women who feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or disconnected from themselves while trying to keep up with work, family, relationships, parenting, and everyday life. Many of my clients are high-stress professionals, first responders, caregivers, parents, or people who are used to being the one everyone counts on. They may be dealing with anxiety, grief after a loss, trauma, low self-esteem, childhood experiences that still affect them, or major life changes including perimenopause and menopause. You may be the person everyone relies on, but inside you feel exhausted, irritable, stuck, or unsure of yourself. You might overthink, people-please, have trouble setting boundaries, or feel guilty when you try to put your own needs first. In therapy, we focus on helping you understand what is keeping you stuck and what you can actually do differently. Together, we build self-worth, strengthen emotion regulation, create healthier boundaries, improve coping skills, and work toward feeling more confident and in control of your life.

Hello! I appreciate that you’re taking this step toward finding a therapist you feel will be a good fit for you. I am a licensed clinical social worker with 13 years of experience. For most of this time I have worked with people around issues of depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, and relationship/family issues. I am also passionate about working with LGBTQ folks around issues of coming out and self-acceptance. I know that the decision to look for a therapist isn’t always an easy one but, by doing so, you are taking an important first step toward creating change for yourself! I take a down-to-earth, supportive, conversational approach to therapy. I engage in discussion and don’t hesitate to share my own life experience when appropriate. I find that a more personal approach helps strengthen the relationship between me and the people I meet with which, in turn, will help you feel more comfortable being open in sessions. I take this approach because therapy is most successful when a person feels like their therapist understands them and when there is some level of connection. I focus on ensuring you will feel both seen and heard starting with our first session. You will be approached by me with curiosity, interest, and care at all times. At the start of your sessions with me I will ask how you’d like to start that day’s conversation and, if you’re not sure, will support you in discovering what might be important for you to talk about in the moment. I invite you to schedule a first session to see if I am a good fit for what you’re looking for in therapy!

Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania. I really enjoy helping people navigate the challenges of changing and maintaining roles in life---exploring young adulthood, finding and maintaining your own identity as a parent, how to create a life worth living in whatever stage you are in. I feel like I am very open, non judgmental, eager to learn, empathetic and understanding. And funny! I am a gender affirming therapist. I am an ally in the LGB and TNC Communities, always keeping my eyes and ears open to find ways to improve my allyship. The current political climate is traumatic and oppressive to members of these Communities as well as many other Communities that are typically considered marginalized. I want to create space in session to discuss how that may be affecting you or retraumatizing you. I am very comfortable with working with those who use self harm as a coping mechanism--there is no shame or expectation you must stop when you engage in therapy. I'm fine with talking about suicide, whether it's your own personal experience of trying to find a life worth living, your experience of supporting someone who lives with suicide in their life, or grief around experiences of suicide. I do not believe inpatient hospitalization is an effective treatment for those experiencing suicide and do everything I can as a therapist to keep people out of the hospital when in suicidal crisis. I do believe therapy is political. I am social justice focused, continuing to do my own anti-racism work. I believe in Health at Every Size. I believe that our environment and what we experience in life has a profound affect on us and must be discussed in therapy.

All behavior is purposeful. This means that we never do anything for no reason. Even when our behavior appears confusing or counterproductive to our values, our behavior has meaning and purpose. Therapy is a setting where we can gain insight about the origins of our perceptions, thinking and behavior. With clearer understanding, we are better equipped to identify factors within our control and consider alternative responses to our conditions. We gain awareness of the needs that are being met by potentially self-defeating thinking or behaviors and have a special opportunity to practice new thinking in the safety of therapy.

Hi! I'm Nikki, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Greater Pittsburgh Area that's been recognized as Marquis Who's Who Honoree Listee. I've been working in human services for 28 years starting with an Alzheimer's unit in a nursing home and intellectual disabilities in group homes to wraparound services with children that have Autism. I gained my education in psychology and counseling and began working with at risk youth in juvenile delinquency settings and now working with transition aged youth. I really enjoy helping young adults find themselves and their path in life with their personal life and professional endeavors. I've also grown with the BFRB community (body focused repetitive behavior) being recovered myself and providing outreach and advocacy. I have been featured on the Dr. Oz television show, spoken at the Pennsylvania Counseling Association, and written an article in a book. My main approach is a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for general anxiety and depression and sometimes integrate expressive arts approaches for those that have difficulty expressing themselves. I specialize in OCD and am trained in Habit Reversal, ACT, COMB and ERP. I currently only offer online therapy and do not accept clients with severe mental illness, active suicidality or substance use. On a personal note, I'm married with a daughter and we enjoy outdoor activities. My hobbies include crocheting and scrapbooking. I really believe in "You are the author of your own life story" and would like to hear your story as you're the expert! I teach by my own SELF approach: S for searching your soul and what works for you, E for changing your environment from a toxic one to a healthy one, L for surrounding yourself with those that love and support you and learning to love yourself, and F for forgiving yourself for relapses.
