Hello, I'm Chris, I am a licensed psychologist and also hold a license as a professional counselor.
If you've ever felt like you've been alone in society and that you are experiencing a sense of stress related to societal expectations that are unrealistic or built for those who are in a group you feel you don't belong to, I may be a good fit for you.
I approach my work with clients in a way that is culturally informed, focusing on feminist principles that are aimed at removing barriers that are in place while acknowledging the very real struggles of those who are not members of the majority group. I have an extensive history of working with individuals of various minority group backgrounds, but specialize and focus in working with people who identify within the LGBTQ+ community, including offering affirming services and helping people navigate coming out, family and peer relationships, and romantic and sexual concerns. I also have experience and training in gender-affirming services and seek to help clients discover and celebrate their true selves.
While I specialize in the above, I am here to help anyone who needs it. Coming to therapy is often a scary experience but it is one that can be incredibly rewarding. I strive to provide a warm, comforting, supportive environment for you to be yourself and grow through whatever concerns you are coming in with. I look forward to working with you!
Are overwhelming emotions, past trauma, or painful experiences making it hard to move forward? Do you find yourself stuck in patterns of anxiety, intense emotions, or memories that feel impossible to shake? You don’t have to navigate this alone.
I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing trauma therapy for teens and adults across Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Florida through secure virtual sessions. With 15+ years of clinical experience, I specialize in helping clients heal from trauma, regulate difficult emotions, and rebuild a sense of safety and confidence in their lives.
Are you struggling? I'm here to help you through the difficult times. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based out of Pennsylvania. I received a Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University and two Master's from Grand Canyon University. I have over 10 years experience working with Substance Use Disorders, Anxiety and Depression. I retired from the Army Reserves and I am a combat veteran. I help clients achieve their goals and be the best person they can be! I've worked in various settings and use my personal and professional experiences to help others. My schedule is flexible so if I don't have an open time slot that you prefer, let me know and we can work it out.
I have always held a deep affection for the field of Human Services since the day my siblings came to me seeking advice for whatever problems they had. That personal experience fueled my pursuit of a career in counseling and therapy. My credentials include a Master's in Human Services, a Licensed Professional Counselor in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and a National Certified Counselor. For over 40 years, I have been blessed with opportunities to serve as a clinician across diverse settings, including Child Welfare, Criminal Justice, Education, the Corporate Sector, and Military Family Life (all branches). I pride myself in being an instrument that provides a genuine, safe space for clients to embrace who they are while welcoming change, operating with the core belief that “everything starts and ends with the individual".
**If my availability does not reflect the day or time that is needed, feel free to message me, as my availability sometimes changes due to client rescheduling.
My name is David Lori. I have provided in-person and, over the past six years (telehealth) counseling to children, adolescents, and adults for over 25 years. I welcome new and returning clients into telehealth services. I believe it is important for individuals to feel supported, emotionally safe, and know that they are being heard and not judged. I have adopted various clinical approaches to my work with clients, including but not limited to Client-Centered, Solution-Focused, Existential, and Cognitive-Behavioral treatment. I encourage clients to drive treatment in terms of what is meaningful for them to discuss during sessions. I consider myself a grounded, genuine and welcoming therapist. I work to promote insights, effective coping skills, and growth for each individual served. In addition, I encourage clients to not only work towards managing symptoms but also what their struggles are attempting to inform them about the situations themselves.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania who has been practicing since 2009. My background is in child and family therapy, early childhood, and perinatal behavioral health. I am able to support both parents and children to have a healthy relationship. I also have experience in working with Adult ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Childhood behavioral health, and PTSD or trauma.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and complex relational and attachment wounds. My work is grounded in a nervous system awareness and a deeply relational approach that prioritizes safety, emotional truth, and meaningful change over symptom management alone.
Over the course of my career, including years in large healthcare systems and leadership roles, I witnessed how often well-intentioned treatment models fall short by focusing on compliance, pathology, or short-term stabilization rather than root causes. That experience fundamentally shaped how I practice today. I specialize in working with people who feel stuck, unseen, or disconnected from themselves and others, particularly those with long standing patterns rooted in developmental trauma, attachment injury, or chronic stress.
My clinical style is structured yet human, direct yet compassionate. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including IFS, ACT, CBT, DBT, and somatic practices, with a strong emphasis on insight, integration, and real-world application. I also offer expanded states of consciousness psychotherapy where appropriate, always within an ethical, intentional, and integration-focused framework.
I believe effective therapy is not about changing who someone is. It is about helping them understand shaped them and their nervous system responses, reclaim agency, repair relationships with themselves and others, and live with greater clarity and integrity. My role is to provide a steady, grounded space where difficult truths can be explored safely and where meaningful, lasting change becomes possible.

All behavior is purposeful. This means that we never do anything for no reason. Even when our behavior appears confusing or counterproductive to our values, our behavior has meaning and purpose. Therapy is a setting where we can gain insight about the origins of our perceptions, thinking and behavior. With clearer understanding, we are better equipped to identify factors within our control and consider alternative responses to our conditions. We gain awareness of the needs that are being met by potentially self-defeating thinking or behaviors and have a special opportunity to practice new thinking in the safety of therapy.

At my core, I am a humanist, existentialist, and a proponent of unconditional self-compassion. I am especially drawn to the moments in therapy where people feel safe enough to speak honestly about the parts of themselves they've carried alone. I value depth, authenticity, humor, and the relief that comes from being fully human in the room with another person.
I have come to deeply value my work with adults and people navigating life transitions, grief, identity shifts, meaning, and the emotional complexity that comes with living a full life.
I am a licensed professional counselor with over 12 years of clinical experience and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. My work is grounded in existential therapy, with a particular focus on supporting LGBTQ+ individuals as they navigate identity, meaning, grief, and life transitions. I believe deeply in the capacity for LGBTQ+ people not just to survive, but to thrive, and my passion lies in walking alongside clients as they explore what a more authentic and fulfilling life can look like for them.
My approach is thoughtful, reflective, and relational. Rather than positioning myself as an expert with answers, I join clients as a fellow traveler. I approach each encounter as curious, present, and attuned, creating space for exploration, understanding, and self-compassion.

Hello!
I studied social work at Lock Haven university and went on to continue my studies at Western New Mexico university. I pride myself in being an adaptable person who has had the privilege of experiencing many different life circumstances. I was raised in rural Pennsylvania and have recently moved back after 10 years in Philadelphia. I have maintained exceptional roles from previous employers within the field of social work. I bring curiosity and understanding to each session with the goal of helping individuals take one more step in their journey of self discovery and acceptance. I believe that exploring the depths of human complexity and emotion is a life long journey that can be difficult yet beautiful. I have most experience in working with individuals with eating disorders, anxiety, and depression as well as with families in the capacity of case management and family therapy.
I have a pretty straight forward approach and would be asking the hard questions. My style is reciprocal in the sense that I would expect the same straight forward honesty from my clients. I hope to promote the idea that individuals can be their authentic self within the space that I would help create for them. I have had the privilege of working with different populations of people. I will always do my best to ensure that I can provide support that is compatible for the individual.
My intention is to provide empowerment and support for anyone who is open to working on that with me.
