Hi there! I am privileged and honored to call myself a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), living in the state of PA. I have been working in the field of psychology for about 9 years now. I work with a wide range of individuals and have specific training in counseling children, adolescents, and young adults. I am passionate about helping others better understand themselves and their needs, while also helping to identify ways to increase awareness around values and morally aligned behaviors. Whether you are experiencing generalized anxiety, emotional reactivity, grief, depression, or burnout, I am here to provide a safe and curious space to listen, learn, and help integrate healing. Together we will establish goals and will objectify steps to take to help better align functioning with what feels most authentic to you.
The intention of our first session together is to better illuminate challenges or areas of suffering being experienced. We will have a deep dive into the barriers existing and will work together to determine a plan of execution that will help in building more mental health regulation and/or self-control. Clients can expect a non-judgmental space in which we unpack what it feels like to experience areas of your life that might be increasing levels of curiosity, exploration, or impairment.
Having worked with children, adolescents, and young adults for years now, I've developed a bandwidth of knowledge for helping individuals more consciously gain control of their emotional field or mental health functioning. I bring a warm, empathetic, and many times, playful presence to each session. I strive to create a sacred space in which a person can talk openly without fear of judgement about their unique lived experiences. I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, so I work alongside clients to understand their experiences, identify their strengths, and find strategies that fit their unique needs.
Starting off in the world of ABA therapy, I first worked with children experiencing inattention and/or hyperactivity. In this work, I found a love for serving the neurodivergent population. Next in my career, I welcomed a job as a substance-abuse counselor. This is where I found deep compassion and understanding for individuals suffering from dual diagnoses. In 2021, I began seeing my own private clients via Telehealth. I love working with conscious minds that aren't afraid to acknowledge the impact their mental health has on their way of living or sense of wellness. I have experience working with a wide variety of client issues but tend to align significantly well with issues rooted in people-pleasing, emotional reactivity, and/or spiritual intervention.

The first stop on the road to increased wellness is unpacking and gaining a true and better understanding of what our values are telling us. Identifying what is truly valued helps us to create a roadmap of alignment between you as an autonomous person, and the behaviors that you deem to be "morally correct" vs "out of moral alignment" with who you are as your own authentic person. Behaviors have the ability to transcend, shift, or reform, but the first step is to acknowledge the behaviors that do not resonate with who you are. The next stop on our journey is becoming more aware of unhelpful thoughts being experienced and to practice witnessing thoughts as just that-- an experience. Our thoughts are separate from us, yet so often, we find ourselves "becoming one with" an intrusive thought. Using ACT helps us remove our attachment from unhelpful thoughts to help reclaim our ability to be present in the moment.
There are various different ways in which a person might choose to cope with life events or mental health experiences. In my clinical experience, I have come to realize that there are different types of coping styles that can work for a wide range of people. My goal in using a solution-focused approach is to illuminate specific barriers being faced and then to identify types of coping styles that can help increase emotional regulation skills. Together, we will identify coping skills that involve the use of relaxation, distraction, sensory stimulation, movement and/or processing. Using a solution-focused approach, we will reflect on how your nervous system has responded/reacted to certain spaces or places and we will learn ways to help increase self-regulation skills.
