The first session is about building rapport. I will listen to your "why" for coming to therapy and ask questions along the way in order to best identify goals for therapy and a plan.
I am very skilled at working with families, parents dealing with challenging behavior from children. I have many years of experience helping parents to increase positive behavior in children. I work especially well with adolescents dealing with life stress, anxiety, depression, and social pressures. In addition to this I provide counseling and training in the areas of ADHD, Anxiety, and Autism Spectrum disorder.

I use CBT to help with reframing negative thoughts associated with Anxiety and Depression, as well as ADHD.
I use DBT to help with emotional regulation and coping with severe stressors and trauma.
I integrate mindfulness strategies into treatment to help to self regulate.
Trauna therapy using CBT strategies helps to give relief to flashbacks and severe emotional reactions.
