I've always believed that most people aren't broken, they're stuck. And stuck is something we can work with. For 15 years I have worked with a wide range of people: veterans carrying wounds that never got proper attention, couples trying to find their way to a healthier relationship, individuals wrestling with OCD or trauma or habits they can't seem to shake, and families navigating transitions that turned their world upside down.
I tend to be direct yet compassionate in the way approach therapy and to what my clients are dealing with. The best complement for me is when a client tells me how they felt seen and heard unlike they have had previously.
I have a particular place in my heart for those living between worlds - racial minorities, expats, and members of immigrant communities who are navigating the push and pull of various socio-cultural forces. I understand that experience from the inside, not just from a textbook.

I enjoy working with individuals, families, and groups, and I take an existential approach to dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. As a counselor, I believe in the intrinsic worth of each human being and I would like to offer my assistance and support in helping to empower you to achieve your highest self.
I believe that transformational change is the result of insight and action and it is my hope that I can support you as you move toward understanding and initiative. We will work together in developing and refining your problem-solving skills, in affirming your progress along the way, and in mapping out a meaningful direction for your life. With gentle encouragement and the space to explore, I hope to be a valuable partner in the exercise of your skills and creativity as you face whatever challenges are presenting themselves in this moment and the moments to come.

Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I received my master's degree in Community Counseling from the University of Slippery Rock, Pa and I have continued to practice within the use of cognitive based therapy for over 22 years. I assist adolescents to adults with managing symptoms and negative thinking patterns associated with depression, anxiety and intrusive thoughts which can remain a barrier towards your desired outcomes. I specialize in decreasing thought distortions that lead to anxiety and teaching coping skills to assist in managing anxiety symptoms as they present. I work most often from a strength-based approach in supporting clients as they learn to identify and challenge beliefs and experiences, which can drive depressive symptoms.
