Tutu Wreh is a Licensed Independent clinical social worker (LICSW) and a certified healthcare social worker (C-SWHC) and Integrated Health. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Tutu provides a comfortable client centered environment. During the initial session, Tutu and the individual would work together to complete intake paperwork and biopsychosocial assessment, complete evidence based-disganoic measurement tools and review preliminary diagnosis. Additionally, Tutu and the individual would discuss the frequency and schedule of future sessions. Tutu helps individuals explore and establish mental health goals and life goals. Tutu and the individual would set small objects as a vehicle to achievement of larger or primary goals. If clinically appropriate, Tutu provides agreed upon therapy tasks or skills for the client to practice or use outside of therapy. If clinically appropriate, Tutu and clients may utilize worksheets or workbooks. Individuals report this approach helps them achieve therapeutic goals and learn concert skills. Drawing from a diverse array of educational, professional and life experience, Tutu use a blend of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Medications and strength based approaches.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Tutu has always been described as nonjudgemental, compassionate, relatable and skilled at building rapport with individuals. Tutu has the ability to recognize patterns in individuals' narratives and apply psychological theory to them, and provide structure or none-structure interventions. Tutu has been told that her greatest strength is her ability to meet individuals where they are at and remain flexible, yet, direct when needed.

Tutu is passionate about working with children, families, youth, couples and individuals. Tutu has experience working with anxiety, stress related concerns, depression, addiction, life transitions, ADHD, behavioral issues, complex family dynamics, ASD-related challenges, abuse, familial alcoholism and grief. Tutu believes everyone should have a safe, supportive and healing place to work through life’s challenges, and transitions and learn skills to manage or reduce mental health symptoms.

Tutu focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful patterns of thoughts, beliefs and behaviors. Tutu's common techniques include cognitive restricting, homework, journaling, exploration of core belief and behavioral activation.

Grief Therapy

Tutu utilizes grief-based workbooks, worksheets and therapy format. Tutu focus on guiding individuals to talk about their loss, identify associations with the loss, who the loved one was and the circumstances surging the death.

Couples Counseling

Tutu utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cogtintive Therapy and Gottman Method for couples counseling.
