Hello! I have always enjoyed helping others for as long as I can remember as early as age 9. I love to see their responses in the learning process. I have experienced trauma, witnessed violence, anxiety, have been in an unhealthy alcoholic relationship and have been a sensitive being my entire life not understanding why.
My saving Grace has always been movement. I loved the way it made me feel-free and calm, and movement has always been part of my life even during 4 pregnancies and keeping up with my 4 children, and now my grandchildren. Over time, I was introduced to mindfulness, stress reduction and relaxation (which I didn’t realized how much I needed) and Yoga. This allowed me to calm my mind and focus.
My career goal was Physical Education teaching and when I graduated (after have 4 children), teacher jobs were scarce. I was introduced to Behavioral Health and here I am now, 25 years later.

Hi! I am a licensed marriage and family therapist based in Pennsylvania. I have been in practice for over 10 years, but in the field for more than 20. I received my masters degree from John F. Kennedy University. I help individuals work through trauma in order to experience themselves and their lives from a heart centered place where they can be their true selves.
Welcome! I'm Amy, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have an advanced certification in clinical trauma studies and a certification in compassion fatigue. It’s my belief that therapy is a mirror by which we get to see ourselves from a different perspective. My focus is creating a safe environment by which to create a trusted therapeutic relationship that can flourish. I use a personalized and eclectic approach with empathy, kindness and respect. All communities are accepted, honored and welcomed: AAPI, BIPOC, ENM, LGBTQI, etc.
I help men and women who feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or disconnected from themselves while trying to keep up with work, family, relationships, parenting, and everyday life. Many of my clients are high-stress professionals, first responders, caregivers, parents, or people who are used to being the one everyone counts on. They may be dealing with anxiety, grief after a loss, trauma, low self-esteem, childhood experiences that still affect them, or major life changes including perimenopause and menopause.
You may be the person everyone relies on, but inside you feel exhausted, irritable, stuck, or unsure of yourself. You might overthink, people-please, have trouble setting boundaries, or feel guilty when you try to put your own needs first.
In therapy, we focus on helping you understand what is keeping you stuck and what you can actually do differently. Together, we build self-worth, strengthen emotion regulation, create healthier boundaries, improve coping skills, and work toward feeling more confident and in control of your life.
I provide therapy for individuals who are managing life on the outside but feeling overwhelmed on the inside. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges.
My approach is relational and conversational. Sessions often feel like reflective dialogue where your experiences, patterns, and goals guide our work together.
I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where insight, understanding, and clarity can develop naturally. We’ll work collaboratively to build coping skills that fit your life.
Clients my training and background would most benefit are those experiencing difficulty in their relationships with their children, parents, spouses, co-workers or other significant people in their lives; those whose anxiety or depression is holding them back, and those who are willing to work to reach their true potential.
I earned my MSW from the University of Illinois at Chicago concentrating in mental health and have helped people in complicated and difficult situations ever since.
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here and making this decision to try something new. Therapy can truly be a sacred space. It's a place that can absolutely change your life, if you allow your self the time and space to heal. My focus is to see you as uniquely you: the good, the bad, and the sometimes ugly. I believe we all have inherent value and worth, and I strive to see this in every single person, including you! We may have some changes we need to make and some behaviors we have to part ways with, but through this healing journey, I want you to know how valued and loved you are. To embrace life again like we were meant to. To forgive others and learn to let go. To change what you can and find peace with what you can't.
I operate from a trauma-informed perspective - recognizing how the past has changed the way we see ourselves and those around us. I look at how early life experiences impact our relationships, attachments, emotions, motivation, and joy. I incorporate mindfulness to help with regulation and utilize psychoeducation to understand that what happened in the past can't be changed, but we have the ability to pursue healing and growth regardless.
I am self-pay only for couples sessions ($150/session).

I enjoy providing tools, skills and resources that you can use and incorporate into your existing skill set to help you explore your own empowerment and personal growth.
I am an active empathetic listener and I consider that a priority in building a therapeutic partnership. You know you best! I will not assume and will ask questions to help the process move forward in a manner that promotes your individual growth toward your goals. I like to use real-life examples in discussion and I often employ humor in this and will get to know specifics that will personalize these examples. I am well-trained and experienced in many evidence-based treatments and together we can explore and plan how to proceed and progress in these for you.
Reaching out to engage in therapy can be scary. Please know I understand this and will provide a reassuring, supportive setting to focus on you and on what you are looking to get out of the therapy experience. Are you struggling in your daily life to manage intrusive thoughts or to keep yourself feeling "happy"? Are you struggling in your relationships to feel like you're "enough" or to feel like you're appreciated? Do you often wish you had someone to talk to about some of the things you're experiencing to figure out a way to "fix" things you're unhappy with?
Hello, My name is Jacqueline Adams (she/her). I have worked as a mental health therapist in various settings in Pennsylvania for the past seven years. I have worked with people working on problems related to anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and PTSD (among other diagnoses).
I seek to help empower people to feel like they can address their concerns as well as to develop hope and optimism that things can improve. I work with clients to develop interventions they can use in day-to-day life to help them manage anxiety/depression or other difficulties they experience.
Have you been wondering if your current challenges are due to past traumatic life events? Do you struggle in relationships? If so, I may be the Therapist for you. I specialize in trauma therapy for teenagers and adults.
Many people often think trauma is only caused by violent crimes, acts of physical abuse, or natural disasters. They may also think because trauma happened a long time ago, it does not affect them in the present. These are a few of the myths about trauma. There are many types of traumas such as the sudden or unexpected death of a loved one, bullying, retaliation in the workplace, neglect from parents, infidelity, intimate partner violence, the witnessing of domestic violence and more.
If you or your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, or life stressors, therapy with me can help with positive changes to strengthen self-esteem and confidence.
I am trained in EMDR and other trauma therapy approaches. My years of professional experience as a teacher and counselor, along with my lived experiences as a Black person allow me to provide empathetic regard while helping clients from multicultural backgrounds.
Being a therapist has seemed like a natural progression for me. I have always been able to easily relate to others and meet them where they are. I have taken my own struggles and used them to help make myself stronger and be able to gain insight into how to help others who may be struggling. I think anyone can benefit through the self-exploration that comes with therapy. I find it rewarding to see the progress people are capable of and to help them see the progress themselves.
I have many years of experience working with children and families as well as adults and couples. I have worked with individuals and families with children as young as 3 with a variety of concerns. I am a trauma-informed therapist who is trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy to treat PTSD symptoms. I am trained in different approaches. I have experiencing with LGBTQIA individuals. I also use TTRPG's in therapy setting.
I provide therapy that is non-judgemental and I seek to meet each person individually and see what they are experiencing and then build from there to solve or change. I’m here to provide you with the support you need to feel better than when we first begin.
Life is an adventure! I invite you to be my guide as we navigate the path to health and healing. No matter the terrain, my primary aim is to focus on helping you achieve your treatment goals and to provide a supportive and encouraging environment. As we traverse the path, I will offer tools, techniques, and methods for creating meaningful outcomes, tailored to your personal preferences. Change is hard and I believe in your ability to face and overcome challenges as we integrate solutions and new perspectives into the mix. “My style of therapy draws from Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment therapy/mindfulness. My passion is for learning your story and working alongside you to find the solutions that work for you. I’m here to help you examine what you’ve already lived through and find the path forward. In my work with people with trauma I’ve learned that we often need the reminder – no matter what you have struggled with; you are a survivor and that needs to be brought to light. Keeping that in mind, I am guided by the client towards the goals that they feel are necessary for their treatment.”
